Fun and tasty place. They really do have 25 burger types. The few I've tried have all been great.
The $5 meals are a great value but lesser quality. The regular burgers are tasty. I love the Jersey burger with the egg.
Seasoned fries can be overdone at tines so I ask for plain and add my own salt.
They have a frequent diner card for a free burger after a few meals as well.
We are definitely coming back. -

Been wanting to check out this place for a long time, and my husband and I hit it up with our toddler today for lunch.
The good: My husband and I got burgers, an order of fries to share, and two shakes. The burgers were absolutely spot-on delicious. Well done, but not dry. Nicely seasoned. I got the bacon cheeseburger with an egg, and he got a meat lovers burger and we were very happy. I actually really liked the fries too, and I'm not one to be impressed by fries. We ate every last one and I wished I had gotten my own order!
The bad: Not that it was necessarily "bad", but the Butterfinger Shake was just a vanilla shake with peanut butter in it. I would have ordered it even if it were called a Peanut Butter Shake, but because of the name, I was expecting something different. My son got a hot dog and fries, and the hot dog was seriously gross. He didn't eat a bite (past the one he spit out), and normally I would have tried it, but it looked so outrageously disgusting that I didn't dare.
Overall, I thought it was very good. Highly recommend for a good, tasty burger and fries. -

I guess I have to eat my words, because the owner did, in fact, franchise it, but the Five Guys in Westfield ran the Westfield 25 Burgers out of town on a rail in just eight months. I blame mismanagement, and a poor location.
This, the flagship restaurant, is still at the top of my list for a great decked-out burger, or chicken sandwich.Listed in: Good local restaurants

25 Burgers.. all of which are delicious (DISCLAIMER: Okay I haven't had ALL of them but I've had enough to believe it's true)
You really cannot go wrong, order whatever catches your eye. Quick service and some delicious comfort food. Portions are pretty perfect but if arrive starving, grab an order of fries because sometimes a man just needs that "full" sensation before leaving...
Oh! And if you live in the area, grab a rewards card, I think it's buy 6, get 1 free burger. Trust me, you're going to want to come back. -

The burgers here are very good. They copied a lot of the burgers from Red Robin, but that's not to surprising since the owner was the owner of a Red Robin in Piscataway before he opened 25 Burgers. They have a lot of different options and not all of these are regular beef burgers. In fact 12 of the 25 burgers are something other then that including chicken, crab, veggie, and bison. I order the A-1 Blue Burger which is blue cheese crumbles, A-1 Steak Sauce, crispy onion straws, lettuce, tomato & chipotle mayo over a beef burger. I also got a side of french fries which were pretty good.
I'm taking 2 stars off for 2 reasons which are grease and price. The burgers here are just way to greasy to the point that it is just dripping off of it. I didn't expect healthy food, but I thought the amount of grease was a little disgusting. The other star that I'm dropping is because of price. For the price of the burger I thought they should include the fries and drink and they did not. -

Great burger selection at reasonable prices. Been here twice and left with a smile each time.

My boyfriend and I went here on a whim one night when we were craving something bad for us. Something greasy and melt-y, and just all around... yummy.
He ordered the Chili Burger, which I had a taste of. It was MESSY. But in a good way. He had to eat it with a fork and a knife. He loved the miami bun it was served on, and thought the chili had a little bit of a kick to it.
I got the bacon cheeseburger because I am a plain Jane, and like my burgers without a lot of frills. it was delicious. really juicy for a well done burger, and the bun was really interesting. nothing I have ever had before. Mine wasn't nearly as messy as my boyfriends, and I was able to eat it with my hands.
we also ordered sweet potato fries because we are obsessed with them- they were okay, a little on the bland side, and not super crunchy. but it's sweet potato so we survived.
On the way out we ordered an oreo milkshake. To be honest, I wasn't that impressed with it. it kinda tasted like hershey's syrup and it was warm. but my boyfriend loved it. and it was HUGE way too much for two people, let alone one.
The only thing I wasn't overly joyed with was the feel of the place. the counters were pretty banged up and the booth seats were all sorts of worn. I feel like it could be a really cute little place if they cleaned it up a bit. Oh and im not a huge fan of the area it's in, so that was another downside.
Other than that- the food was awesome. definitely the place to go if you want something gooey and sinful. I think I can finally feel my heart again. we will be going back for sure :) -

I LOVE 25 BURGERS!!! I am a super healthy eater but this place is my favorite for giving in! Their fries are seasoned perfectly, they are savory and delish!!! You can get the $5 meal which comes with fries, a burger, and a drink!!! I love their cheeseburgers! It is super cute and there are old fashioned posters everywhere!
THIS PLACE IS A MUST!!! -
Review from Chris J.
Wow what an awesome burger place. They have so many different kinds you can get and they're really delicious. The three of us were quite impressed that you could get a burger that's this tasty and not a wimpy little patty for lunch!
I had the burger that came with bacon and a fried egg on top and holy cow, that was a tasty and heavy burger. The fries and sweet potato fries are good as well. If you're in the area hunting for lunch, get yourself a damn burger and you'll be happy. -

Destination Location!
Best Burgers ANYWHERE . . . bar none!
Thank God this place is only a 15 minute ride from the office, else I would be in trouble since it is one of those places you just have to have at least once a week -if not more often.
My favorite . . . the Bison Burger and sweet potato fries. If you think that 5 Guys or Cheburger-Cheburger are good - then try 25 Burger - you will not be disappointed and you will NEVER go back. -

Very very similar to 5 Guys Chain in appearance and style. Red n white checker board motif with burgers only cooked well done.
Now....25 Burgers goes way beyond 5 Guys in offering a wide variety of specialty burger choices. Turkey, chicken, lamb, buffalo, etc.
If you like a grilled burger than you should stop here when in Jersey. Trade up the normal fries for sweet potato fries. This is a must.
Nothing fancy just get what you order. The burgers are large and plenty of food for the super sized diet minded person. I however chose the smaller burger option. Plus a kids menu and several other options that include hot dogs, sandwiches, etc. -

specialty burgers... my kind of place! Even went so far as to order the crab cake burger and even that wasn't too shabby.
The big draw is the $5.00 lunch special which includes a drink and fries. Filling enough for sure. Definitely a great burger spot (and they participate in val-pak so keep your eyes open for that.)
My all-out meal? Cookies and Cream Milkshake, Sweet Potato Fries, and the A1 Blue Burger. Great for lunch! -

Maywood, NJ
We checked this place out for lunch one day while at the Bridgewater mall.
The restaurant itself is nothing impressive, but impressive isn't necessary...the burgers are good!
They have MANY (25) pre-chosen methods to have your burger and some of them are kinda interesting with all kinds of toppings, or you can chose your own.
We each had the bacon cheeseburgers both with cheddar, mine with fried onion strips and his with raw onion. Both were good, cooked right. The onion were a little greasy. The fries were nothing special just typical crinkle cuts....the onion rings however were really good, and good onion rings will get me coming back. lol
Would def go back when we're in the area, its worth a check out if your lookin for something fast but don't want crap like mcdonalds. -

Its been over a month since I went to this place and have yet to review it. I have been to Ray's Hell burger, Five Guys, The Counter.... just name it. None have as good a burger as the ones I tried here. But I am getting ahead of myself.
On Sunday, after a huge lunch and before heading back to VA from my Parent's place, I called up a longtime friend and asked him if he wanted to go. He gave in and I told him we would leave later since I was still not hungry and the place closes at 10 PM, or so we thought. We got there at about 9:02PM and noticed that there were still a few people inside and that it closed at 9 on Sundays! Since this place is a hike from my parent's place, i would have been so pissed, yet understanding, if they didn't serve us.
Got up to the counter and asked if they would serve us and the cashier said sure. Then we looked at the menu, which by the way, has some great stuff on it, and decided to order a regular cheeseburger, an El Paso burger and a chicken teriyaki 'burger'.
Cheeseburger - On my god, this was so comforting. I have had many cheeseburgers but this one stands out among the best. The meat is the star here, 100% Angus is so right in there. The toppings were fresh and the bread had a great texture. My fiance didnt even want to eat, but she ended up devouring it!!
El Paso Burger - I LOVE southwestern flavors and so this was like a match made in heaven. Once again, the meat was so delicious. The topping included perfectly crispy thick bacon, pablano peppers, avocados and other stuff i am probably forgetting. Interestingly, they had a different kind of bun just for this burger. This bun was hearty enough to handle the overloaded sandwich, not just weight and texture-wise but also flavor wise as it was seasoned very well!!
Chicken Teriyaki 'Burger' - My friend really enjoyed it. He said the chicken was extremely moist, the pineapple and the sauce were perfect too. He said he would be back ;)
Overall, I can't wait to pay them another visit next weekend, as ill be up in NJ/NYC again. If I had a piece of advice to give, I would say... "go now!" -

I don't even like burgers that much, but I miss this place... Too bad it opened right as I was planning my move back to CA!
The fries are great, but a little bit on the salty side. That said, I really like the seasoning they use, even if you need a large cup of water after eating a few. The burger with bleu cheese and onion straws is my favorite.
They get crazy packed at lunch time! Stagger your lunch to avoid the crowds... Oh, and don't forget to get your frequent diner card. Free burger every 5! -
Review from Stefan N.
Hartford, CT
Ok. I am giving this a perfect score because it is a burger joint and we ordered a #5 & a #6. Both excellent. The service was very fast and friendly. The girl behind the counter spent all her free time behind the counter cleaning and straitening. It made for an overall tidy restaurant/diner but overall cleanliness was a 3 out of 5. The Texas wiener was average at best, not bad just an average hot-dog.
This place is a greasy spoon in the best sense of the term. A definite recommendation.
The burgers are ample without being obnoxious. Mine was covered in mayonnaise shredded lettuce, fried egg, bacon and cheese. My partner's was covered in blu cheese and didn't see the light of day long enough for me to get a taste.
Go to 25 Burger! -

We also tried the sweet potato fries w/ honey mustard dipping sauce and the cheese fries w/ ranch dipping sauce... we loved the cheese fries and with the ranch sauce...AMAZING!!! Def a must try with all the different selections ...Forget five guys or any other burger spots....Go get your burgers NOW!!!

If your local you have to eat here at least once a week for lunch. If you're not local, then find an excuse to get local. There's a minor league ballpark, a Costco, an iconic local Sporting Goods Store all within a mile or less... Pick your reason - and pack the family in the family truckster and bring your appetites.
The Chipotle Bison Burger is top shelf!
Can't go wrong with the El Paso Burger, and the double stack is the tastier version of the fast food 2 all beef patties. -

Maybe the best burger joint in NJ (White Manna and its "sliders" aside). Great greasy, old school, wrapped in paper hamburgers. Really good, tasty topping combinations. The Philly Burger was too die for, literally. I mean come on, it was a cheeseburger topped with a Philly cheesesteak. My chest hurts just thinking about it. But that is what you come for, although they do have chicken "burgers" and hot dogs too.
The skinny crinkle cut fries were OK, not my favorite style and i wasn't a fan of the seasoning (southern salt?) they use on them.
But try the burgers and the shakes. You will be happy you did.
Why only 4 stars for the best burger joint in NJ? Its still just a burger joint, as great as it is. I reserve 5 stars fine dining restaurants. -

I loved the number of specialty burgers we got cheese fries and crab burger. I loved the taste of the food and the different combinations. I wish I had one of these at home.

Denville, NJ
Great burger joint. So many different kinds of burgers, all with its own unique taste. I had Pete's Crab Burger ($8) which was amazing. It went well with mustard. I also tried the Colossal burger (two 7oz angus patties). I think that burger was unique to the store since I didn't see it at the other locations. That burger was overwhelmingly big and just $8-can't beat that. They also have great shakes (big serving size). The staff is extremely friendly and just an overall laid-back place to eat out.

First off...don't judge a place by its website.
I will keep it short and sweet. If you are looking for a real healthy meal...go across the street to Shoprite.
With that said...they have a nice broad menu of original burgers...not your run of the mill "California Burger" or "Pizza Burger"...blah. These guys actually put some thought into their recipes. Staff is very friendly, place is clean and PACKED. It is a tight fit in there so be ready to wait a few minutes for a seat.
Food is good quality, not 5 star Kobe beef but it does the job. There is chicken and turkey for the anti-bovine crew. Highly recommended if you want a quick burger.
Couple of improvements...well, one. The fries. I think if they had their own hand cut fries it would make the meal that much more enjoyable. If in the area and you are thinking Applebees or McD's....think again and come here. Thumbs up guys!! -

Alright. The menu is good. The burgers are HUGE and tasty. The service is not good. The wait at times can be painful.
All this means nothing when you have one of their milkshakes!!! They are AWESOME!!! Nothing else can be said about that! -
Review from Dan E.
Basking Ridge, NJ
I had been waiting for a long time to get to this place and I finally did. After reading great reviews and hearing great things, I was super pumped to go. I went at about 2pm on a weekday and the place was absolutely packed - great sign. The parking lot is not very big, so if the place is full, parking can definitely become a bit of an issue.
I went with the Bullseye BBQ burger and my wife went with the classic cheeseburger. The burgers are a nice 7 oz size. They don't ask you how you would like it cooked, but the burgers seemed to be on the medium well side. When you get your burger, it is almost perfectly constructed wrapped in tissue paper. I thought the burger was very good - tasty, juicy and it had a great combination of toppings. A major plus for the burger I had was the miami onion bun. Very good and most burger places do not offer anything other than your standard bun.
We also had the fries. They are almost like a seasoned steak fry - if that makes any sense. I am more of a shoestring fry fan and I just wasn't too impressed by the fries. They were just OK. I did see some people eating onion rings and they looked very good. I will definitely give them a shot next time.
All in all, it was a very successful trip and I will definitely be heading back... -
Review from Jeff M.
Jersey City, NJ
What separates them from the others is that they have sweet potato fries! Thank goodness they have sweet potato fries here instead of the usual fries because I need some type of change here! Oh yeah onion rings too are good here.
These burgers are different because first off the roll they use isnt the usual soft rolls. Im not sure since Im no bread expert but its a kind of a hard yet soft roll. As the reviewer named Jane F. has said its a "kaiser roll".
They are definitely different, but different in a good way! They have specialty burgers such as crab cake burgers. My girl had a bbq chicken burger which she always get anyway. I just had a regular bacon cheeseburger, just to try it out first with sweet potato fries to compliment it. Great! I enjoyed this place actually. Just come with no expectation and you will leave with great expectations for next time. Thats it! im outta here! -
Review from Sameer A.
Manhattan, NY
Flavorful . . .
Not the BEST BURGER EVER . . . but the burger is really good.
Had the A1 Blue burger, their best seller, and it was a great celebration of beef. Between the blue cheese and the onion straws, this burger hits the spot when you want a dirty good burger.
The 6 alarm burger is also delicious, not as spicy as advertised, but definitely tasty. The toppings distract a bit from the burger, however, the strength of the patty. I would order this again, if it wasnt for the A1 blue burger.
The patties are done somewhere between medium to medium well, keeping a bit of pink within the middle. The patty itself is quite juicy and flavorful, you can definitely taste the angus. The burger itself is pretty large, and doesnt need sides. The french fries were average, store bought frozen variety. I personally have not tried any of the other sides.
Why 25 burger did miss out on the last star, I would gladly go here again. -

Jersey City, NJ
Bar none one of the best burger joints in the state. This place has more burgers then I will ever try but having 6 of the 25 burgers so far I can say that my favorite is probably the Bullseye followed by the Bacon Cheeseburger and El Paso. Don't get me wrong though, I have never had a bad burger there, all six have always been great and whatever you get, you won't be disappointed.

Review from Alexander C.
Springfield, NJ
Best burgers around. Like the name of the store states, they sell 25 specialty burgers. At least half are beef, the other half could be chicken, turkey or what not. The 25th burger rotates every month.
They have a pretty big diversity in burgers. There's bound to be something you'd want to try. They have innovative combinations that you won't find elsewhere unless you go to a sit down restaurant that may have only a handful of burgers to choose from.
Fries are pretty good too. They don't overwhelm you with the amount like Five Guys does, but they are tasty. I heard great things about the sweet potato fries, and while good, they are probably not worth the price.
I have aspirations to try all of the standard 24 they make. -
Review from Gina G.
Piscataway, NJ
There was so much hype about how good the burgers are at 25 Burgers that I was afraid I would be let down. I ordered a Reuben Burger and Sweet Potato Fries. Let me tell you the burgers and toppings are a generous portion. I wasn't sure if the corned beef would go with the burger patty in the Reuben Burger but it did and it was so good. Their reputation lived up to the hype. It's worth every single calorie. The decor is pretty cool too. I was reminded by a coworker that their decor and music are a throwback and quite enjoyable. Seriously the only thing I could focus on was how good the burger was. I highly recommend 25 Burgers.

Being from Southern California, the home of great burgers, the last place I ever expected to find the best burgers I've ever had was in Bound Brook, NJ. My cousin took me here when I was visiting, and I was blown away. I don't know what it is, but these burgers are worth flying across the country for, seriously.

Review from Jerome L.
East Brunswick, NJ
Went here for the first time for lunch and ordered the standard cheeseburger (#1). I didn't go for any of the other burgers mostly because I feel like if you can't do a cheeseburger right, then don't bother with anything else.
Pulling into the lot, the air is greasy. You can smell the burger grease/oil and I don't know about you, but it was unappetizing.
The burger itself was okay. Pretty standard, better than other fast food places, but a lot more wet. If I hadn't eaten it as fast as I did, the bottom bun would've been completely soaked in grease.
That's about all I have to say. Maybe I just wasn't into burgers today. -
Review from Michelle M.
Clifton, NJ
Pretty decent burger place. Don't expect some gourmet place but it's definitely good. As the name says they have 25 different creative burgers and usually a special burger of the month. On our visit we had the burger of the month, a rueben burger, and the $5 meal. The $5 menu includes a burger, fries, and a drink. Pretty good size and tastes good. Totally worth it! Go here for a change from the other fast food places.

Roselle Park, NJ
I've been meaning to try this place for a while and finally got a chance to do so today. I wasn't disappointed at all with the food. The wait was a little long but at least it's proof of the freshness. I got the El Paso burger which has guac, bacon, chipotle mayo, roasted poblano peppers, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, and sauteed onions on an exquisite onion roll. The burger was cooked well but I typically like mine not as well done. I'll be going back to 25 Burgers for sure.

stop what you're doing and go to 25 burgers IMMEDIATELY. it's one of the best burgers i've ever had. it's served on what is essentially a kaiser roll and sometimes you just need a break from the shake shack's soft potato roll.
also, the fries are actually the best i've ever had in my entire fry-eating life. the BEST.
if you're still reading this, a. you're wasting precious burger time, and b. you should be convinced by the price: $5 for a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a fountain soda (free refills, but no coke-- this place's only downside). also, it's right near costco and a big shopping center. just GO ALREADY. -

This place has the best burgers you will ever eat!!! Everyone will be able to find atleast one burger they like and you will not be disappointed..the problem is picking just one. Try this place once and you will be hooked!
The only negative i can think of is you probably get about 3 days worth of calories in one burger..but its worth it!
They have a frequent buyer card too..every 5 burgers you buy you get one free!
