    1) The Basketball court is NOT rented out. It was in the past, but that was over a year ago.

    2) This club is a SUPER SPORT level. Members with sport level have always had the option to upgrade. To be upset about not being allowed in with a sport level, is like getting upset that you don't get free HBO with basic cable.

    3) The $20 workout fee is set by the company, and not the "douchbag" managers.

    4) The management staff will always listen to anyone about any problem and help where they can.

I think if people realize that they are a company, and real events happen (Machines break down, members mistreat equipment, employees have rules they have to follow, etc) you will see that this club truely shines as the nicest club in the greater Vancouver area. To attack employees because they are following policy, is childish. To blame the club for members actions (bad driving in the parking lot, misplaced items, mistreated equipment) isn't fair. The staff always get items repared and problems solved promptly.

Its funny that those writing negative reviews state IN THEIR OWN REVIEW the "problems" they had.

-$20 is the fee to work out. Clubs can't just let anyone in. Its not how they operate and wouldn't be fair to the paying members. If you're not a member you have to pay the fee. Would you go into a resturant and say "i eat here all the time, so i demand you give my friend here a free burger..."

-If you have a "sport" level membership why should you be able to attend a super sport level club "with no issue". YOU chose the sport level and can upgrade anytime you wish.

-24 Hour Fitness didn't build the parking lot or structures. To fault the club for a bad entrance is silly. To fault the club for bad drivers is insane.

The super fancy 24 hour, in the area.
According to what we know - we should have been able to attend this gym with no issue, but apparently we couldn't

We were told there were "free" days when we could come with our sport level. When we came back on those days we got the run around and the staff looked down their noses as us except for one of the gals.

It is a nice location, tons of machines, towels (woot), but the beautiful people quotient is definitely insane. Parking lot is basically take your life in your own hands! Driveway is about the size of 1.5 cars and the turning radius is tight!

    It's a 24hour Fitness. They're the McDonald's of gyms with snootier employees.

Typical suburban gym from a mediocre national chain.  It's surprisingly clean for a 24 hour fitness (because some of their locations are super crappy). It's not too crowded, has many fit members and it has nice equipment, including a ridiculous amount of cardio thingies .  But the front desk staff is incapable of making a judgment call, being slaves to the manager who wouldn't let me train with a member for a discount off their $20 guest fee (say "rip off").  I've never (in all my years, and in all the states I travel) experienced something so uncool.  I wasn't looking for free, but with a member bringing in a guest from a location out of state with none of their gyms, you could've built some brand equity.  Instead I just think it's managed by douche bags.

Horray! A Super Sport 24 Hour Fitness!

While spending a few days in the 'couve house sitting I discovered this amazing new 24 Hour and I wish there was one like this in Portland.

The gym is HUGE, bright, clean and a great variety of equipment. It just opened and totally has that "new gym smell". (It's good).

They also have the usual classes, a swimming pool, basketball courts, lots of parking, a killer locker room and personal tvs on most of the machines.

I joined this club because it is close to my house and that they have a Basketball court.  It was pretty good for the first 2 years.

But they are now RENTING out their basketball court to a youth organization 6 days a week and excluding their paying members.  This club is Super Sport but they exclude more hours here than the other two sport locations in Vancouver.

If you want to get better value, check out LA fitness or even one of the community centers.
