Review from Azsia P.
San Diego, CA
So I just finish my first week at this gym and I absolutely love it. I signed up online and when I came in the guy at the desk was really nice. He made small talk while helping me set up my check in codes and finger print. So really good customer service and him being a personal trainer he said that he was available to train but didn't push it when I said no thank you. I love the elliptical its my utmost favorite machine. And I never have to wait for it. I mean given if you come at a rush hour you have to wait but I go during the day so I don't wait at all. I also took Zumba at 10 am on Wed. with Antwanette. It was my first time and I didn't feel self-conscious at all. She made the class fun and was very upbeat. I also took a Zumba class today friday at 530 pm and it wasn't that great. The class schedule said the instructor was Celeste but I think she had a sub fill in because this particular class was all over the place. We did the same 5 moves for every song and half the time she looked like she was winging it. I was really hoping it would have been more like Antwanette's class. Also the Sauna was spacious. So all in all I liked it. :)

*other reviewers dont give the place 4 stars then write all bad stuff, your missing the point!!*
So, some of us members figured some things out the other day.
Reason the staff never rerack the weights is because there are so many sets of dumbbells missing they don't want anyone to know. I know for a fact the 20's and a set of the 30's dumbbells have been gone for over a year. How about the gym saves the money they spent on that Xbox 360 the trainers have been playing with and replace the dumbbells the paying members need.
Another thing I came in at 9 am the other day and found no toilet paper or toilet seat covers in the men's room; this means bathroom was never cleaned the night before. Same day I saw the 105 dumbbells in the 30 pound section. I came back later to do some cardio and saw the dumbbells still there. The next day I came in and the weights were still in the same freaking spot. So that means nobody is racking weights in a whole 24 hour period. I work out at the Santa Rosa CA gym too and I see the tiny little front desk girls racking the gym every hour. I have never seen any 24 hour staff rack anything in Lemon Grove
Let's talk about broken Machines- Peck Deck for fly's was broken for six months then they finally put an out of order slip on it (no date of course) The machine sat like that for a month now it's just gone. Smith machine was broken for a month. Many many machines need help. I signed my son up the other day when he turned 12 but I take him to swim another gym because the pool is so gross here.
The whole gym needs some help it's been this way for years the new GM in not to blame the last guy really didn't seem to care. Oh yea the trainers might get new clients if they were friendlier to the guests. In my 3 years going to College Grove not one trainer has ever spoken to me, they seem very snobby. -

I have been going to this gym for over three years. This is the shittiest 24 hour fitness you can ever find any where ( I have been to over 20). I am surprised why OSHA has not shut it down it down or cited it yet because of unsanitary and unsafe conditions.
Equipment at this gym is old but that is not even a issue here. The issue in this gym is that it is filthy. The restroom and locker areas are so dirty that it is difficult to even use it. Sauna and pool are filthy as well. I won't be surprised if people would have got diseases at this gym by using dirty restroom and sauna.
The staff which work at the counter is nice. But it seems like the management is one which is negligent which can be seen by the poor and dirty conditions of this gym. There are homeless people sleeping in this gym for long. There is this guy I have been seeing him for three years who actually lives in this gym (creepy). He is sleeping in the locker room all the time. Three years.!
Last year I left my stuff unlocked in the locker room. Some one put lock on my locker (weird). I told staff about it and they said that they will break the locker in morning if no one take off the lock. For next 12 days I told them every day that some one has locked my stuff but they won't bother to cut the lock even though it is stated policy of this gym (Written every where) that all locks will be cut at night. Every day they told me that they will cut lock tonight. After 12 days one of the employee finally went and cut down the lock and retrieved my stuff. This shows inefficient culture which is funneled down from the top to bottom. -

I love this gym it gets really crowded on Monday nights but I don't know a gym that doesn't the staff really works with you and the trainers are amazing and so committed. Bring your own lock for the lockers though the ones that accept quarters don't work but that's the only bad thing I can say. This gym is much more for cardio then weighs they have tons of weight equipment but they have more cardio and they have a small 3 lane pool. They also have a great daycare.

From where i live, 24 fitness avocado, college grove, grossmont and bonita are all about the same distance. My favorite one to go too is college grove. I like there selection of tv channels, they tend to show more sports than news. The place has a lot of energy, probably due to variety in ethnicities. It can get too crowded at times and there are people that only go there to take a shower, but thats true for all of them

Typical 24 Hour Fitness gym. Employees are nice but I haven't gotten a personal trainer so I can't review that. I wish they would clean the indoor pool more thoroughly. I feel like it's more dirtier than the other 24 Hr Fitness pools in the city.
WARNING!!!: I've had my iPod stolen right out of my bag during a class and my shorts taken off my locker door. There are thieves that come to this gym who are not afraid to go through your stuff so it's best to invest in a lock for your locket.
Whoever steals from other people need to grow up and get a job so they can buy their own shit instead of prying on other people's stuff. GTFO. -

Seems as though they have done some renovations here.
They upgraded that dark predator basement lighting. (think pawnshop scene in Pulp Fiction). To cleaner supermarket lighting.
Addtionally, last time I went it didn't smell like beans past through the lower intestine of a dog. They must have been running the air.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Lemon Grove, CA
Honestly, a gym's a gym. This one has always been pretty well kept, and in good repair. I've never had a problem getting customer service, and any time I've seen a machine in need of cleaning or repair, they have jumped right on it.
It does get packed with families and kids in the afternoons and weekend mornings, and beings as how I hate children, I learn to avoid those times. Really though, I go to the gym to get my sweat on, I mind my own business and everyone else seems to do the same, which is fine with me. -
Review from Adam S.
San Diego, CA
As far as the 24 hours go, this one is pretty decent.
When I go really early in the morning, it is great. Nothing is too busy, and the only other people there are regulars, which I find comforting. The only problem is the occasional lack of weights in the correct place. It is hard to blame the gym itself, since the cause is the lack of manners by the users. Usually, this isn't too big of a problem, since the typical morning group all knows the drill.
When I choose to sleep and go in the afternoon, lifting weights is no longer an option, and I will just do cardio instead. The place can be a zoo, and one of my biggest pet peeves is waiting at the gym for equipment, which is inevitable.
I also play basketball there, and the courts can go from 0-ghetto in under 5 seconds after 5:00 or so in the afternoons. Sometimes there will be enough people before that to play some 3s, 4s, and very rarely 5s, but once there becomes enough people that the court is being used and there is a wait, the players can go a little wild making bad calls to help ensure a victory to keep from waiting for the rotation.
I bought the 2 year pass at Costco for $300, which comes out to $12.50 a month, and is way cheaper than actually paying the monthly, and I feel I get every penny out of it. The nicest thing about 24 hour is the amazing amount of locations. I travel a lot for work, and was able to go to other Sport levels in Los Angeles and Hawaii to name a few places, so even if I went to a different gym while at home in San Diego, I would probably still have this membership just for when I am out of town. -

YES... The majority of guys who work out with the weights don't know how to put them back and there are people who spend more than 20 minutes on the treadmills at peak time and some of the personal trainers who work there need personal trainers as well, but I love it here.
If its busy, get use to the fact that you have to share the weights or machines. When its slow, its like having your own personal air conditioned gym. I dig the turbo kick and hip hop classes offered here as well. There is good mixture of all types of people here + there's a lot of hot college girls that work out here. Not bad. -

This is a very nice gym. I come here just for the cardio and there's always plenty of room.
I also like the fact that there's a Sushi shop and a Juice Store next door (which is good if you are hungry or in the mood for a smoothie after a really good workout)
Plenty of parking, nice atmosphere and the place is always well kept! A very nice Gym! -

I only come here if I don't want to drive to my regular 24 hour. I can't stand this gym because people don't put their weights away, and I don't care for one floor gyms. Someone mentioned prison yard, and yes, this place resembles one. Particularly the weight section. I just don't enjoy my workouts when I come here because there's always a wait for the cardio and I hate waiting.
I used to swim here but no more after I saw a woman in FULL CLOTHING in the pool. I get you aren't allowed to show your body, but, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????? Oh yeah - to the crappy parents who don't take their kids to a water park, and tell them the lap pool here is a water park, you're an a-hole. The employees also don't seem to give a crap that this is going on either. I haven't been here in a few months, and now after writing this review I'm getting annoyed again. This place sucks. Oh yeah - WIPE DOWN YOUR FREAKIN MACHINE AND WEIGHTS AFTER USING THEM! Nasty people!! -

This rating is based on a group x class only. I come here for andrea's tkb class on Fridays 10am. She is by far the best tkb instructor I have yet to find in the area. I travel to several different 24 gyms and I can't say enough about her class. she is challenging, energetic, fast paced, always current (knows new rounds as soon as they come out) and she can actually count! (You'd be surprised how many tkb instructors ive taken class from who have trouble with an 8 count). But seriously I can not give her enough praise. Andrea you rock, your class is amazing and I only wish you taught more often at this gym.
Ps if you have to drive a little further to take class from her, trust me it's worth the drive. -

I love coming here because it's close by and is never too packed (if you go at the right times). Love to get my hour cardio workout in on the elliptical then move onto weight lifting. I enjoy the little cube they have set up next to the entrance to the pool; it has everything you need to work out your entire body. Come out feeling sore every time but I love it! Also, you'll catch the occasional hottie every now and then to look at while you get your workout on. ;)

I have been a member of 24 hour fitness for 18 months now and I love coming here to this gym. The manager (Joe) and staff are pleasant and always there to help out. Even the cleaning lady is nice and friendly.
I tend to go in the mornings because of my son and it is not as busy as the afternoon when I have gone then.
The location is the best part because we can walk there from our house.
The only complaint that I have it during the morning class X the kids corner is packed and I have to wait to drop my kid off, but otherwise, I love this gym! -

If i could give zero stars, I would.
I came here today to try out a two week trial that I had printed out because I wanted to try out the gym and maybe get membership before starting school in September. The guy who was helping me sign up basically said because I didn't have a California ID or drivers license I would have to pay a 10 dollar fee every day to try out the trial. What? IT'S A TRIAL, WHY WOULD I PAY A DAILY FEE. I was like, whatever, since I did not like his attitude, but he said he could give me a week trial. I don't get it. Because I don't have an ID I can't get the full two weeks that the certificate says? My brothers who both don't have IDs had no problem getting it done. Of course he didn't seem to care. Then he aggressively said fine go work out and see me when you leave. He had a horrible attitude, but I'd like to think it's just him. I probably won't be using my week pass, nor will I consider membership here because I'd hate to come here and realize that the staff only cares about commission.
Oh. And the pass is only good for six days. Apparently grade school was wrong when they taught me that a week consists of seven days. -

Best classes of all the 24 hours in SD! I think this location probably has the most classes available as well. They're so good that although I live in Mission Valley and work in Del Mar, I come all the way here to workout. Love zumba, hustle, and aqua zumba; Orna is the best instructor! They can get pretty crowded, and you might have to get there early to get a spot, but it's worth it. The room is also really spacious, unlike some other crowded locations (Imperial...)
I don't use the machines here often, but I have used the ellipticals, and have never had to wait for one. I also really like the layout of this location, it's not the biggest, but everything is out in the open, on one level. It makes it easy to find people if you go there with friends.
Minus one star for all the creepy guys watching the aqua zumba class the other day, made me wish I owned a one-piece.
Having frequented many other 24 locations, I also must say that this one wins the award for best music! -
Review from CJ E.
San Diego, CA
I had been a 24hr Fitness member before so I've been to quite a few gyms within 120mi of this place. This location by far is the worst 24hr fitness I've been to. The great ratings for this place are either really old or based on very low standards.
Decided to get back in shape with the GF and they had a 2-week free trial promo going on that I got an email for. Me and my GF both signed up for the trial online then came in to redeem them and dealt with a sales guy named "CJ".
What a salesman.... he told me that since I had been a member before I wouldn't be eligible for the trial. Ok, that's weird, cause I'd like to give THIS particular gym a chance to EARN my business to see if it would be a good fit for me. OK, i thought, it's totally fine. I understand that they're a business and they want money so I figured, okay, i'm just gonna let my GF do the trial so she can gauge if I'd like this place or not(not a very accurate way to do it, but why the hell not, it's the only thing we can do).
After getting set up with the trial, we start talking rates for the gym. So he gave us full pop prices, which I expected. Someone was getting set up for a membership near us so they were talking prices as well and the girl was doing everything she could to give him a lower price, even asking CJ what available discounts they had to give new customers. Of course we heard about the deals, cause CJ was directly in front of us at his desk, but did he offer us any? NOPE.
I eventually told him I was definitely gonna get a membership, but through Costco(2-years for $300 so $12.50/mo instead of the $35/mo he wanted us each to pay) and he was definitely irritated that we would get a way better price for a membership.
Okay, so we leave and check out the printout of the trial membership that would get my GF in and guess what?! He only gave her a FOUR(4) day trial!!!!!!!
So the sales staff definitely gets a 0/5 for me. I expected an aggressive sales encounter, but this is unethical.
Anyway, went ahead and purchased our memberships through Costco. It's a pretty good price and money talks these days and it's not like I have to deal with the sales staff again. We went in, the club manager got us set up with our memberships and it was painless this time around, awesome. He seemed like a fair man and was very professional. The only thing deserving of the 1 star I HAVE TO give this place.
I haven't taken classes yet and I fully expect them to be nothing short of great(because from my experience, 24 always has great classes).
My real big gripe about this place is that it's ridiculously unsanitary. Does this gym even have a mandatory towel policy like all the other gyms do? I absolutely hate cleaning up people's sweat after other people before i hop on a bench or machine... this is just ridiculous.
ADOPT A MANDATORY TOWEL POLICY!
RE-RACK THE WEIGHTS EVERY COUPLE HOURS OR SO(or at least before and after peak hours).
^^^these are things other 24hr fitness centers have already done to maintain a good standard..... you have no idea how many people will be more pleased with your gym if you do these 2 very simple things.
The place could DEFINITELY be cleaner, but I can definitely excuse that and the front desk staff's "dont really care about this job" attitude if it provided a great environment to work out in... which it definitely falls WAY short of doing... after all, we're here to work out and not to socialize with the front desk staff(actually, I take that back. There ARE people that are only there to do that) -

Wanna work out at 7am? 10am? 4pm? or 2am? Not a problem.
24 Hour Fitness Gyms are located all over San Diego and throughout the United States. I got an all access club pass that allows me to ALL the different type of gyms: sport, Magic Johnson, club,, etc...This is another cool feature! There are different 24 hours gyms that are tailored to your type of workout preference with different kinds of equipment and classes.
I have visited the 24 Hours in Grossmont and the one on University, but none of those compare to this one on College Grove. Grossmont is just way awkward and everyone is real old. At University, I feel like I am working out in my garage its so small and nobody is ever there. BORING! The atmosphere on College Grove here is fresh, exciting and motivating. It is typically a young crowd, which gives me something good to look at while working out! ;) And have notice a large portion is Black guys. I'd hit it why not?
This gym is so huge compared to the other ones I have been to! It seriously has everything! A daycare, swimming pool, basketball court, multiple and updated exercising machines (I dig the StairMaster because I am trying to work on getting that Kim Kardashian ass), over 15 different types of classes to choose from that are go from early morning to late at night such as Zumba (very awesome class) , cycling, Hip-Hop, Boot Camp..., personal training, a Sauna and Steam Room, and a Nutrition store.
The staff is very cool and laid back, but beware of the cleaning ladies! They are feisty. I have been to this gym all times of the day and I rarely never had to wait for a machine! Which is great when you are on a time schedule!
To enroll, you can sign up for $26.00 a month with no enrollment fee!
Or you can be cheap and get the 7 day pass at every 24 gym location until they either a) catch you or b) run out of gyms in your area! he he -

After being a loyal patron of the College Grove 24HF for more than six months, I have to admit that my once-high opinion of the place has diminished over time.
They no longer greet me with a smile, call me by name and tell me to have a good workout... they hardly make eye contact most days because they are all busy texting, flirting with meatheads who congregate at the front desk or whispering and giggling like twelve year olds. None of those scenarios motivate me to have a great workout, thanks.
As much as I want to say this is a great gym as I said in the past, it is just dirty and disappointing now. Multiple cardio machines are broken almost every time I am there, the pool equipment (kick boards, water weights, etc.) are mostly broken and look like they have been through a war and the locker room is like a petri dish of athlete's foot and God knows what else.
This 24HF needs a good scrubbing, some morale training for employees and new equipment to keep up with the times.
Sorry, but my plentiful ass will be schlepping to the new location on Imperial from now on to get my sweat out -- that place makes me want to work out!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Can you say... MEAT MARKET!
This gym has everything... it's big, has a basketball court, pool, new machines, etc... but GEEZ the men that go here are not only pumping iron, they are checking you out and are wanting to get your digits. It's pretty annoying. The only other annoying thing is... when the machines are down, they are down. They slap a 'out of order' paper on the machine and it stays there for days.
Best class: LIFT
Best time to go: EARLY weekday mornings or Sunday night. After work, forget about it.
That is all. -
Review from Trang L.
I've been a member at this gym since they've opened. Unfortunately, time has changed the atmosphere of this gym. You used to be greeted with a friendly staff that will try to make your experience wonderful.
But throughout the years.. the staff has changed as well as their attitudes. I stopped going to the gym because I was running outside and when I decided to come back one day, they no longer had the fingerprint scan.. so being hiatus for a few months, I obviously did not have my membership card. I'm sorry girls at the front desk that I took 2 minutes out of your day to have you look up my phone number for my information and thanks for rolling your eyes at me when I say thank you.. @#&%$!!
ANYWAY.. the gym is large which is great and they have a lot of cardio machines than most gyms. Gym is fairly ok/good, staff not so much, except for Matt (manager) and Jerome (counselor), they're pretty rad.Listed in: Train hard or go home

I was looking forward to playing some hoops with a buddy and getting a good workout afterwards. So we hit the santee 24 hour sport(which I give 4 stars), but the courts are packed(full court pick up games), so we call the college grove Magic Johnson Sport. The girl who answers the phone tells us the court is dead and we can play 1 on 1 no problem. We rush over there just to find out it's crazier than the santee gym.It was also a lot more competitive(read aggressive old school playground) than what we were looking for. Let's just say a lot of trash talking. I felt like I was back at high school(a bad one).
Oh well. I'd never been to a "Magic Johnson" 24 hour before and I didn't even know my all sport membership was good for it. I had the misconception of thinking it was extra nice and special. Wrong! I didn't like it at all, personally. But it did have a good vibe with happy people working out hard and taking care of business without trying to look pretty(but I actually like how the girls do that at most 24's) and hook up.
If you live close by and have a membership, check it out, but going in at 11pm at night and not being able to mess around on the bb court with your buddy sucks. -
Review from Robyn I.
Of the 24 Hour Fitness clubs in the central San Diego area, this is the best. It is "Sport" Level and a signature Magic Johnson gym so it is near the top of the line for 24HF which means you'll get a few extra amenities.
It's pretty decent... huge workout area, full basketball court, a lap pool (only 3 lanes but it is never full), sauna, steam room... not bad. You need to remember that 24HF is a middle of the road gym though, you're not getting marble floors and cherrywood digital lockers or anything like that! If you want that, go to the Sporting Club at the Aventine or something similiar.
One interesting thing that may help your decision: I believe it's the proximity to San Diego State, but this gym is busy on off-peak hours, like between 9-5. Don't worry, it's not full of just college kids though, there are people of all ages here. Also it is large enough that I've never had to wait for a machine either.
Definitely give it a try if you are deciding which one in this area may be the best. -
Review from Gabe H.
I tried this location last week as it is the closest location to my house. In general I am very happy to have this location. It has just about all the ammenities that you could as for in a gym. I have been a few times now at different times and I have not experienced any waiting for equipment or over crowding.
My only critique is the locker room... It is in need of a little more upkeep. The floors are a little disgusting. Other than that I am happy with this location and will just wear my sandals in the locker room :-) -

This is probably the nicest 24hr I've ever seen. It's clean the staff is VERY friendly and not judgemental. I've never been to a gym in my life, so i didn't know how to do anything, yet I feel so comfortable at this gym because everyone I've encountered here is friendly and considerate. I also got a trainer, her name is Natalie. She's so motivating and informative. I've never felt so good about myself in life. I couldn't have picked someone better to help me. I've been to a few other 24 hours in San Diego but this is by far the best one.
PS
there's very good eye candy at this gym too ;) -

Review from Shantal M.

Reviews for gyms are hard to process because the experience depends so highly on what kind of workout you want. So I should probably start with the kinds of workouts I like to do:
- I heart ellipticals and on occasion treadmills
- I lift weights 3x a week (combo of free weights and machines)
- I like a good stretch area
- I use medicine and stability balls for ab work
- I like to shower and get ready at the gym after my workout
I really like this gym because it basically fits all of the above criteria except that I haven't been able to find medicine balls. Also, I have a pet peeve of people not re-racking the weights after they're done. I've seen them all over the gym...and it's a little annoying when I'm trying to do my workout in a timely manner. I don't think it would be that hard for the employees to go through a few times a day to re-rack them. But there are plenty of them and plenty of machines, etc. if you're into lifting.
I've never had to wait for a machine but I go at off-peak hours. The TV channels are usually pretty diverse so I find something I don't mind staring at while I'm ellipting (?). And there are good stretching/ab areas.
The showers are fine, clean enough, except there's a lot of water on the locker room floor because of all of the women coming in from the pool/jacuzzi. I just wear shower shoes...no biggie.
People seem pretty interested in the basketball courts here so I take it those are up to par.
All in all...a great gym! -

I really enjoy the classes here, except spin. I can not sit on those bike seats for an hour! But I have taken the 24 Step, Turbo Kick Boxing and the Aqua Aerobics class and enjoyed all three.
I have never actually used the equipment here as it is always very busy and Im usually there for a class. But everyone seems friendly.
EDIT: Saturday Morning, 8:30 Turbo Kickboxing with Philip will KICK YOUR BUTT! Best Class workout I have ever got. The class is usually really packed but to me that makes it fun. He also teaches at Rancho on Mondays 5:30pm. -

I also like how people clean after themselves & wipe down the machines - theres also this one lady that comes around and clean the machines =) very tidy. -

The squat rack is always open unless someone is doing barbell bicep curls or shrugs in it. The staff is friendly and someone is always walking around spraying some down. The Kids Club and front desk staff are friendly and take good care of my baby boy.
Good luck finding a dumbbell. Sometimes the trainers close off half the basketball court and do weird parkour-like workouts. Also, there is always a basketball game running, but people are usually friendly about it.
The only major pain in the butt is the packed cardio machine area. Is there a time limit and is it enforced?
I bought my membership for $300 for 2 years from Costco. There aren't any crazy, cool machines or tools like a big tire, rope, etc. but it has all the basics and more. -

Out of all the 24 hour fitnesses, for some reason, I really like the College Grove one! Something about this place makes me the most comfortable to work out in! I like the open atmosphere, it's quite large here and there's a basketball court, as well as a swimming pool!
There's always plenty of parking, and the TKB and Hot Hula classes are super fun!! Also.... it's always fun to go to the gym, then go to get Jamba Juice, and walk around Target!! -

I been coming to this gym for at least 2.5 years close to 3 years. i only come here because it's way closer to my house and really, i have no other choice.
i never been to any other 24 hour fitness, and always thought to myself, "omg, this 24 hour fitness is the best, it's big, new and BIG" lol. yeah. i was wrong. this place is NOT clean, maybe the morning because that's when the cleaning lady is there, but when it's during the night, this place gets messy and dirty. I hate how every time i want some napkins to clean the machine, it runs out then i have to go up the workers who btw don't even care about their customers UNLESS they know them. They would talk to each other, flirt, text and so on. who cares, i just want to work out.
but, the sauna is dirty, crack floors, people even spit on the floors, ah, yes, but what can i say, i have no other choice. also, the steam room ALWAYS break down, i don't go there often, but my mom does, people get so piss all the time cause they hate the sauna.
but, this place DOES get packed, i'm thinking because lots of people live close by, esp. teenagers.
i have no other choice but to come to this 24 hour fitness since it's close by. -

Sometimes you have to let a place/thing/idea stay in the corner of your mind/memory in order to get some perspective on it. Did you really enjoy that person/place/things company/service/assistance or was it purely situational, a freak occurrence.
When you miss something, it's a pretty clear indicator that it was good. You might not think you want to swim 12 laps at 3:30 in the morning but given the opportunity, you'd be surprised. This gym reminded me of a cross between Gold's and BSC but open 24 hours a day. The crowd changed according to the time of day. The price 34.99 a month couldn't be beat for what they offer. Precor Treadmills, Hammer Strength and free weights, pool (50 meters), basketball (full-court, it is, after all a Magic Johnson signature club) sauna, steam room etc. If your ever in SD check it out. -

I find this location to be one of the busiest!!! I tend to go to the gym around 9ish and this gym was packed!!! i waited in line for a treadmill for about 10 minutes and when i entered the sauna room it was FULLLLL!! a guy burped and smelled his NASTY breath... dudes wearing boxer shorts and their junk just hanging.... ewwwwww! nothing against the gym, just the members lol. I tend to go to Zumba a lot when Luis is teaching... i LOVE his motivation and his class. I yet have to try other instructors whom I know are equally great, but why mess up something good? For this gym to be as busy as it is... it's well kept and equipment up and running.... GOOD JOB COLLEGE GROVE 24-HOUR!!!

This 24 Hour Fitness is the one I frequently exercise at. This one is sponsored by basketball great Magic Johnson and is an active sport type of club where there is a indoor basketball court, Olympic size swimming pool (3 lanes), spa, steam room, sauna, recreation group room, and a large spacious area for cardio and weight training. What makes this place even more better is that there is a 45-min complete workout area just for those who are in a hurry and want a great workout. Everyone is friendly and during the peak hours it really gets busy but is so spacious that you don't feel cramped in like other 24 Hour Fitness locations. However, the best thing about this place is that it's next door to a Jamba Juice and a Quiznos!!!!

Lately there have been a lot of vehicle break-ins at the parking lots. Whatever you do, do not leave anything in your that can be seen. Bags, purses, ANYTHING. They seem to target Honda/Acura models as I wasn't the only victim there apparently. Look out for three Filipino males in a greenish 1996-2000 Honda Accord, one will have a slim jim to bring your window down and steal from there. Please park in a well lit area and as close to the facility entrance as possible. You've been warned.
