Oh how I miss this gym. I used to live half a mile away from this place and have recently moved quite a distance away. This is probably the cleanest 24 in the south bay with a good amount of equipment.

Sidenote: the women here are rather attractive also!

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Sabbylocks (aka Sab L.). She  went on a quest to find the perfect gym. Pretty soon, she came upon the 24 Hour Fitness chain, so she got a membership there.

There were three 24 Hour gyms that she then tried. The first was a 24 Hour Fitness in Hollywood.

"This gym is too crowded!" she exclaimed (and it was dirty, too).

So, she went to the second gym, a 24 Hour Fitness in Cupertino.

"This gym is too small," she said.

So, she went to the last gym, a 24 Hour Fitness in Milpitas.

"Ahhh, this gym is just right... clean and not too crowded," she said happily, and she has been working out there ever since.

I do like this gym.  Like Susan D. said, it is a bit smaller than the others I go to, though.  But, I have to admit, my favorite part of this gym is all the eye candy, I can't help it, more hot guys work out at this location that the other 2 locations I go to.

And, no, I don't try to chat the guys up, I actually use them as my inspiration to work out harder, lol

I'm glad that this gym is only a few minutes away. When I moved to Fremont I thought I was going to have to go to the gym by the mall. This place is new, clean, and has all the machines I need. Although it doesnt have a swimming pool or basketball courts, this place is still awesome. The only downside is that during peak hours parking sucks but like someone said, you can always find parking in front of nobhill. During the weekends, this place does not get packed at all and its probably the best times to go.

This 24 Hour Fitness is definitely one of the better ones in the South Bay because it's a lot newer and cleaner. Plus, the ghettoness factor is pretty low compared to the down and dirty 24 Hour Fitness on Capitol.
I used to live at this gym and made quite a few friends here as it has a cool vibe. Except when you have the weirdos coming up to you and asking, "You come here often?" Oh yeaaah, baby. Makes me want to drop my panties right there.
Just don't do what I did: Hire a personal trainer, fall in love with said personal trainer, date personal trainer, go through drawn out break up with personal trainer, and then can no longer go to gym for fear of seeing personal trainer and smacking him with a dumbbell.
*sigh*
That's ok. You can find me gettin' all bendy and sweaty at my yoga studio these days... searching for peace, compassion and zen so as not to hunt down and attack personal trainer.
Oh screw it. Where's that dumbbell??

I've been to several  24-Hour locations in the south bay,  but this one is by far the best .

There are always plenty of machines open to work out on [a  full weight room & tons of cardio equipment - not to mention most are brand new ]  the staff is friendly, and above all- IT'S AMAZINGLY CLEAN!

the only downside is it can get crowded especially during peak hours (4pm-9pm) and parking can sometimes be a b*tch!

One thing I like about this gym is that it's cleaner than the ones I've been to. Another, it's not too crowded if you go at a good time. I used to go to Ballys but it's overpopulated all the time and you can easily get distracted. Here, I'm actually able to focus on my workout.

I was so thrilled when I heard that Rite-Aid in Milpitas was being replaced by a 24 hour fitness because it's only minutes away from where I live.  The cool thing is that the place is new without any stank ass smells of B.O. and sweat like the McKee location has.  If you've ever been to that one, you would definitely know what I'm talking about.

So this Milpitas location has all new equipment and I believe it's spacious enough so you don't feel too crowded but during peak hours, machines do get filled up pretty fast.  I only wish there was showers and a steam room like other 24 hour locations.

I do think they could use more TV's in the free weights area because I like to watch sports while pumping iron and there's currently none there now.  If you got kids, this place does have a day care center.  Also, there's a decent sized room they use for their scheduled stuff like yoga or cardio-training.

The great thing about this place is that it's really 24 hour and you can come at 2 am if you'd like, but I'm not sure if I know anyone that has ever done that.  The latest I've been there was at 12:30am and there were still a few peeps in there.

For all new comers, you can always get some kind of free pass that usually comes in 10 day periods.  I can even hook you up one if you need be so just let me know.  Just be ready to get the spiel.

So I've been a 24 hour member for about 5 years (on & off). However, yesterday was my first time coming to this location, and so far, I love it! Well, not love it, but I'm liking it a lot over the other option of locations I have.  My usuals have been the ones of Fremont (with one that sucks cause it's so tiny, and the other one is just packed a lot, but isn't so bad).  However, this location is pretty new, so it's still very clean.  Also, it's organized and it doesn't stink.

All the cardio machines and weight machines are all new, so you don't have the occasionally funky outdated one. They are all still in great contidition.  On top of it all, the facility is pretty cool. High ceilings, and it's always pretty cool (temperature) in there.  The high ceilings help out I think, it doesn't make it so stuffy and claustrophobic during your workout.

Overall, I'm liking this location a lot.  It's going to be my choice location for when I commute between home and school (Fremont & San Jose).

I'm also seeing some great reviews for the group classes, and I'll have to come here for one some time .

This is my second home. Sadly, I pay for an all club membership and I go to an "active" gym. The gym can be bigger and like every other gym, it gets packed in the evening. Parking can be a pain during peak hours. The heaviest dumbbell is 120lbs, which might not be enough for some people. This gym is one of the cleaner 24 gyms I have been to.

This gym may be cleaner but it is smaller and busier than the one on Berryessa and Capitol.  They have less machines... which adds to the problem.  I go to this location occasionally with my bf cause his brother works-out there.  We like to go late-night (midnight) but there are still tons of people there.  They don't have a pool...

It's a good thing they have a lot of cute Asian guys to look at or I'd give them less stars... :p

This gym is okay. I like that they have the newest equipment, esp. the built in fans on some of the machines. BUT I hate that I can't go during peak hours because my hour session gets prolonged due to having to wait for some of or all of the machines. While this gym is a decent size and fairly new...I actually prefer going to the one on Mckee because I can at least go during peak hours and not have to wait for certain machines.

I live in Milpitas, so it's more convenient for me to go this gym, but I only go here late at night because the crowd has usually died down by then...making it easier for me to get on the equipment I need. The weekends aren't too bad neither, but I usually end up at Mckee.

If I could stand the crowds during peak times, I would bring my son with me, because he loves their kids gym...and the kids gym staff has always been really good. The kids gym at Mckee is a little lame and small, unfortunately my nerves are too bad to put up with standing in line at the Milpitas gym for each piece of equipment for 10-20 damn minutes every time I rotate...

**Also, someone mentioned that the employees here are rude....this is sometimes true, but not always. Often times the employees are too busy texting their friends or chopping it up to pay attention to the customers or do their job....BUT I have experienced good customer service at times as well. The turnover is so high over here that it's usually a hit or miss on the customer service.

I really just wanted to go to a gym when I stopped by this place but walked out with a membership.

At first I went because it was new and i got my hands on a 7 day free trail from their website. I got there and handed them the form and was lead through a pretty hard sell about how great the gym was and how there was facilities all across the country yada yada yada. Yes yes yes, that's all great, i just want to work out. Then the membership dude told me that, if I signed up that day, my membership would only be $24 a month, every month, instead of the normal $52. Fair enough. But it turns out that the deal  was still available the day after that. Hm... Basically, if you are going to join up, don't get the $52 membership because I'm sure there is always some deal going on.

The gym is clean and not too crowded. Then again, I go later in the evening so maybe the rush is over. There are a couple of "cool" guys working out in their jeans and sideways tilted baseball caps, but all in all the crowd is pretty normal. No one gets in your way which is very nice.

The good:
Decent crowd
Clean, new machines
No smell

The bad:
Pushy sales people

The good:
1) gym doesn't smell like b.o., and locker rooms are fairly clean
2) during peak hours there's not much of a wait for machines,
the longest I've waited is maybe 5 minutes
3) people are generally polite - staff and members alike

The bad:
1) parking can be hard during peak hours, but there's always room
in front of the nob hill grocery store
2) air circulation sometimes isn't the best - sometimes it can feel very
    warm, especially during peak hours
3) tvs are on, but not all have subtitles, so they're only good to have
    something to look at

The ugly:
Sometimes, I see this father-son pair go in to lift weights - the son cannot be more than 13 years old.  He's at most 5 feet tall.  Getting the son to lift weights at this age (and he's not doing light weights) is really killing his growth.  Sad.

New, clean and doesn't smell like left over B.O.

What else can you ask for in a gym?

Give it 5-10 years and it'll be crappy like any other 24 hour. =(

Soooo get going there while the gettin' is good!

I like this place better than the few that are in my area. Mostly because it's by friends I work out with, it's new, it's cleaner, no chlorine smell and it's really 24 hours a day open 7 days a week. You'd think that they are all open that way......nononono my friend, you are sadly mistaken as was I by their name but oh well. I admit that there are a lot of beautiful women here.....as you can tell some of them have already left comments....but I digress I don't go there for that. After all, nothing is more embarrassing than dropping a weight on yourself while a gorgeous women walks by. Like I said I appreciate that it's open late at night - the time I usually go.

i agree with the reviewers here.  i signed up @ this gym initially, because i knew a trainer who worked here from my school.  because it was close to my school, i used to come here to work out 'n get personal training.  it's relatively new, so the machines are pleasant to use and there's tremendously less smell than other 24 hour gyms.  thus, i thought all the 24 hour fitness gyms were like theirs.  man, i was wrong!  i was sad that i couldn't come to this one anymore since i really liked the dance class.

please, don't eat their apex food products.  check the ingredients... a lot of artificial crap.

This is my new gym. Back in Sac I used to be a Gold's member, and I used to pay almost twice as much. I pay way less here and I got such a good deal, I didn't pay any initiation fees at all.

So they're gonna get four stars easy from me.

Its new, clean, and my only -1 star is personal--I run into someone every night I come here. Milpitas High graduates will never need a reunion.

Ohh and when I'm there (after 9pm), there's almost ALWAYS some kind of casual dance practice going on in the class space. Its not a big thing, but sometimes I just want some quiet space to stretch in private.

The gym is pretty nice considering it is new. I think this is the best 24 Hour Fitness gym in my area. Even though driving here is a little farther than driving to the one on Capital Ave/Mc Kee Rd., it's a million times better. At least here, I don't feel like I'm in a jail.... hehe...

The staff is pretty friendly here and the equipment is in good condition. I do have to say that the gym is a little small and they don't have a pool or basketball court. But as I say, better here than McKee... ;)

The best 24 Hour Fitness I've been too that's not a Super Sports club.  Even though it's classified as an Active (meaning no pool or courts), it still has everything you need from showers, kids club, tons of cardio, goo machines, and a large free weight area.

I love the free weight area at this gym.  It's all new and it's way bigger than a lot of sports clubs (i.e. Sunnyvale!).  it doesn't get too crowded and the crowd here is pretty good.  Sure you have a few ego's but for the most part everyone is really cool and nice.

This is also by far one of the cleanest gyms around and even during peak hours, while the parking lot may be full (thus having to park in front of Nob Hill), inside isn't nearly as crowded as other gyms.  The cardio machines can get full, but they open up pretty quick.

While I haven't taken any of the classes ,they always seem to be full, so I'd suggest getting there early if you're into classes.

It's OK. It's pretty clean, considering it is still fairly new, and the staff here, for the most part, is really helpful and friendly. But I don't think it's as great as everyone says it is. The club is pretty small, and I don't like the way the machines or cardio equip is set up. I try to come pretty late in the night, hoping the crowd would've died down, but there's still a good amount of people here, considering the size of the club.

Ok I have worked out at maybe 5 different 24 hour fitness clubs in the bay area. I specifically drive further than the closest one to me to go to this specific one. The club itself is newer and at the times I usually go it is hardly ever packed. I have been to Gold's as well as one of the club ones in San Jose. I like it here much more. The staff is cool and there are plenty of cardio machines. It's clean and never smells bad like at some of the others I have been to.

Things I like about this place:

- the equipment is new
- the music is decent
- the locker room is fairly clean
- they are usually good about having different shows on each TV

Things I don't like about this place:

- the staff is RUDE, esp. this one guy name Tommy who is a sales rep.  He has thick dark brown hair and wanna be body builder.
- the place gets overly crowded in the evenings
- they don't have enough space for abs
- they don't really allow the general public to use their other equipment like the Bosu balls and medicine balls unless its a training session.
- their trainers don't really show much care their trainee's progress.  They are too busy watching TV or distracted with other things to care if the trainee is doing the exercises correctly.

I only go to this gym when I absolutely have to.

One of the cleanest 24 fitness I've ever been to...

This must be one of the most cleanest 24 fitnesses I've been to. I say give about a y ear, and it'll go down  hill. The aerobics room is hot as hell and I don't think they ever turn on the AC in there, but it's ok because the only time I'm in there is to stretch. The machines are nice and new which is a really good thing considering some of the other 24 fitnesses have rickity machines that are scary to work on.

I'd go here more often if it was closer to home.

I went in the early afternoon of the weekday, so it wasn't crowded at all.  It's a good size for an Active gym.  The bathroom/locker room was a good size, too.  There weren't a lot of cardio equipment, which I can imagine being a wait for at peak times.  Very clean and all of the standard equipment, plus a few I haven't seen at the other 24 Hours and good location near Nob Hill Foods.

This is the cleanest 24 Hour Fitness I have ever seen. Perhaps the fact that it is also the newest has a lot to do with it. Housed in what appears to be a former supermarket shell in a quiet, safe part of town, this location is very modern and comfortable.

For starters, there is no pool, nor a basketball court, which is always a plus. Pools in gyms tend to make the place dirty and musty, creating a rather unpleasant aroma, not to mention the sights in the locker room of individuals you would rather not catch a glimpse of. Basketball courts seem to attract unsavory characters who ruin the entire atmosphere.

As it stands, the clientele and workers here are very polite. You don't have the proliferation of wannabe thugs that you might find at other branches of the 24. This is Milpitas, after all.

The floorplan is very basic --- no more than your simple square shape --- but one thing I really enjoy is the polished concrete floors. It harkens back to the golden age of bodybuilding, when gyms were not about all the unnecessary bells and whistles, and all you needed were some weights, and some good old fashioned, blood, sweat, and tears. The cardio machines are all brand new, and state of the art. However, the weight section, although fairly ample in the square footage department, unfortunately doesn't have as much equipment as some other locations.

It's all fine and dandy though for the time being, seeing that whenever I come, it's only half full. Obviously, due to the newness, the enrollment is probably not quite that high yet, so enjoy it while you can! I'm assuming that many of the current patrons are holders of the "all gyms pass."

One thing I really like is the stereo system here. It is no exaggeration to say that it almost sounds as if you are in a club. The bass is simply knockin'! You can't even tell if your heart is beating fast from the workout or if it's from the thump of the music!

One complaint I have is the same with a few other 24 Hour Fitnesses. Why the heck do they have to lock the aerobics room? I asked the clerk at the front desk one time if I could practice my gymnastics in there, and he told me that it was a liability. Umm... I do recall when signing the initial contract, there was a line stating that 24 would not be responsible for any injuries sustained while within the confines of their four walls.

Oh well, the Newark gym is not too far away...

I live here.  Not because it's the greatest gym there ever was, but because it's so close to my house that I can always squeeze at least a little cardio into my day.  And when I have time after my workout, I always do my grocery shopping at Nob Hill, which is a few doors down.

There are lots of cardio machines at this 24 Hour Fitness location, but on busy days (M-Th evenings) the elliptical machines might all be occupied.  Parking also SUCKS during peak hours.

There's a wide variety of "Group X" workout classes, so almost everyone can find something that suits their interest.  So far, I've tried 24Lift, TKB, 24S.E.T, Salsa Moves, 24Grooves, Cowboy Boogie, and Yoga Stretch.  My favourite is 24Lift, because it has helped me learn how to use weights effectively in my workout routine and also to feel more comfortable using weight machines at the gym.

It's a pretty new gym and although not very big, it has everything I need.  I'm also super ecstatic about the fact that the bathrooms don't smell like shit, like the 24 Hour Fitness on Arques usually does.  I used to go to that one.

Pretty good gym! I went to the 24 hr on Mckee in San Jose which isn't too far from this one. This one is much bigger, cleaner, and better in every way. The workers are nicer and so is the machines.

My only complaint is that parking can be hard to find during peak hours and no standing calf machine.

This is 24 Hour Fitness is "conveniently" located right next to Little Caesar's and several other food joints that ain't too good after a workout (unless you're on a dirty bulk). This place has NO shortage of cardio machines except during prime time (Starts at 5-ish ends around 9) and even during then you'll still have your pick of cardio machines.

As opposed to the 24 Hour on McKee they don't have a basketball court (which was always filled anyways), a swimming pool (old people...everywhere!), or racquet ball court, but hey this is 24 Hour Fitness not Sport.

There are more leg machines here, three flat benches, two inclines, and one decline. The only disappointments for me are:

- Only two racks for squatting
- No standing calf machine
- Dumbbells only go up to 120 lbs.

Other than that this gym is WAY better than the McKee location.

I've gone to 3 different 24 hours and I have to say this one is by far the cleanest, probably cause this is newer than the others. It definitely isn't crowded, but that could also be the times I go, which are early mornings on the weekends and late evenings weekdays.  I've gone to 2 of the TKO classes, one taught by Will on Mondays and the other by Michelle on Saturdays.  I have to say these classes aren't as intense as the ones at the Mountain View 24 taught by Terri, but I liked them nonetheless.

I also liked the fact that there are so many cardio machines and no waiting unlike the Mountain View location.

I used to go to Gold's Gym, Milpitas Health and Fitness and 24 Hr in Santa Clara.  I find that this gym better than most of the gyms I've been to.

For a big gym, this gym gets packed during peak hours(5pm-10pm Mon-Thurs). If you're looking for a good workout, I recommend you to go after 10pm. It is sometimes packed after 10pm

This gym does not have that many free weights(compared to golds gym) .   I have to go to other gyms in order to use certain machines. If you're looking for a simple workout, you should go here.  but if you're like me and looking for certain machines, you should try elsewhere.

The workers here are not reliable.i usually go to the gym around 11pm because it's not crowded and it works my schedule.  Most of the time, I find the workers sleeping on the counter, working out, or just not there.  One time, my friend wanted to buy a protein shake after his workout.  Unfortunately, a worker wasn't at his desk.  We caught him working out in the free weights.  We were upset, so we left.

The people here are very friendly.  If i need someone to spot me, they're more than willing to lend me a hand. however many of the members can be a distraction.  I know many of the members because it's close to my home.  If you're from Milpitas, you will bump into somebody you know.

This gym is pretty good gym for me because it's convenient and offers all the machines I need for a good workout.

Can't speak to their fitness classes, but this gym is pretty nice.  Very big and spacious with high ceilings, and a nice selection of weight equipment.  haven't come here too often (maybe on more visits i woud realize it's just like the others?), but so far, i have nothing to complain about.

I have to admit-the Milpitas24HF is very clean compared to the other 24HF gyms in the South Bay-but it's a new gym so we'll have to see how things progress into the future.  I went in around 10am and the gym was fairly empty so I was able to get onto a cardio machine with no problem.  I like the fact that they've got new machines, especially the new Cybex Cardio machines.  They have a Kid's Club that is open Mon-Thurs 8am-11am,5pm-8pm, Fri & Sat 8am-12pm, Closed on Sunday's.  It looked pretty clean and decent and the attendant seemed  nice and knowledgeable so I probably will bring my baby in there as soon as she is old enough (they have to be at least 6 months to attend Kid's Club).  The locker rooms seemed pretty clean and there is a Pro Shop that sells supplements & workout gear.  Also, they had an assortment of dietary drinks to choose from (more so than the Club One at Santana Row).  They didn't have the Flat Screen TV's on the cardio machines but i guess that's the difference from being average (24HF) to good (Club One) to excellent (Sports Club LA).

This 24 hr is pretty good.  It is the closet 24 hr to my home, it also happens to be pretty new (its just over a year old.).  The equipment is clean and it doesn't smell.  (or maybe my sense of smell is dead in my old age.)  I like going after 8pm.  It is not as crowded after 8.  However, the club is still busy.

I just use the weights and cardio machines.  So I don't know how the classes are.

I really like going on weekends.  It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the weekend mornings at 6 0r 7am is the best.  No one is in the gym, and you can choose whatever machine you want.

The difficult part after my weekend workout is avoiding the Starbucks in the same shopping center.
