This location is smaller but cleaner than other nearby 24 hour fitness's'. The machines tend to be in better shape and mostly always working. If you can, avoid rush hours, after work 5-7 pm or early mornings  7-9am, to avoid waiting for popular machines.

For me, working alone just doesn't cut it. I usually take the classes b/c I need all the motivation I can get! Although, more classes have been recently added to the schedule, this gym doesn't offer as many classes as other gyms.

TiP: If you do decided to take a Cycling class, understand that they get filled up an hour before they start so I suggest arriving  an hour +5 min early to get that ticket, or simply hold your spot by placing a dollar down ahead of time.

I suggest trying cycling, turbo kick, and step for a high intense cardio workout. Mix it with Bodypump or some type of weight lifting class to help tone up those giggly parts.

Remember, the more you workout, the better you'll feel, and the more you'll enjoy your food!

I come to this gym often. My faves are the swim class, stair stepper, treadmill and elliptical machines.  The upkeep of the gym is decent. Housekeeping tends to ignore the nooks and crannies of the machines. They need a good wipe down. Once in a while a machine might be down, but usually maintenance takes care of the problem quickly.

The staff here kinda sucks. They really dont pay much attention to you while you are checking in. A couple times I didnt even bother to check in...just walked right on thru, they were so engaged in conversation they didnt take notice. I have never really had a staff member talk to me. The swimclass instructor are pretty amazing though.  I dont recall their names..but there are super friendly and helpful.

I'm almost always here in the early weekday mornings 2-3 times a week, so I can't speak for truly how busy it gets in the peak times, but I hardly ever have to worry about my preferred equipment being available.  The space is large and open and doesn't have that musty gym odor. Plenty of TVs and they seem to keep each one on the same channel, so I always know which spot is best to take in ESPN and the early local news.  Even at the tail end of the late night shift, the desk staff is always friendly (more so than I typically am at that hour).

As far as equipment, size, and amenities here I have to give it 5 stars.  Long rows of exercise equipment, lots of free weights, large pool, sauna, jacuzzi, aerobic classes and nice locker rooms.

The crowd here is fairly mixed at the times I have gone.  I know other reviewers on here will rate this place on how poorly people workout, but to me that is just the type of people that 24 Hour Fitness caters.  It's trendy, widely available and fairly affordable.  This is not Gold's gym that may cater to body builders or some high end place - so I don't care to rate a gym on its clientele.  Almost all these gyms are busy right after work, so plan accordingly.

I am not usually a "gym" type person.. but I've known for a long time that the effects of regular exercise are always positive..

So.. I tried being the "anti-gym" exerciser.. but I lack the motivation to work out on my own..

And well.. the boyfriend and the brother's girlfriend have 24Hr Fitness gym memberships.. I've got built-in workout buddies.. it's all win-win!

So.. I signed up using Costco's 2yr membership special.

I really enjoy this place... I had a membership in my younger years..  to the dinky club in Fontana.. off of Juniper and the 10 freeway.. ick!

This place is classy.. clean.. and there are always available machines to use..

Their classes are a little too few and far between.. I'd love to take up yoga again.. but they barely offer it.. if they offered it more than once or twice a week.. I'd totally make the time to go..

My current obsession is the swimming pool.. I love to swim.. and love taking that aqua class..

The pool is somewhat heated.. but most of the time it's pretty chilly when you start out.. but the constant movement in the water makes it comfortable.. it's relatively clean and there seems to be a strong level of chlorine..

I can't seem to shake the chlorine-smell.. even after a good shower or two..

They also have this awesome bathing suit ringer thingy that takes all the excess water out of your bathing suit so that you don't have to bring it home in a plastic bag.. bad news is that it was broken a few days ago.. I hope they fixed it!

There's a sauna and a steam room.. I've only been into the steam room.. but it gets a lil wierd in there when I'm in my bathing suit and some big buff men come in right after their workout.. awkward..

I enjoy going to this gym.. I'm glad I got the membership!

By default, I should like my gym because I'm paying for it right?  Right!  I'm not going to tell you how much I pre-paid for three years or how much I've been paying annually thereafter.  Oh NOOOoooo.  That would spoil all the fun.  Instead, I shall review this 24 Hour Fitness based on my experience this morning.

I went around 7:30 and there weren't too many people there, which meant I didn't have to wait for any machines.  All their machines are spotless and clean just as the way I've seen and used them when they first opened a little over two years ago, before I moved out.  Compared to their Rancho Cucamonga counterpart, I noticed a difference.  To be fair, Rancho might've updated their machines and equipment in the past year and I haven't been to any other gyms.  I always believed that I gained access to any 24 Hour Fitness in the country through my pre-paid plan.  I was wrong until I came across the NYC Derek F'n Jeter branch.  I had to pay as if I joined for the first time.  Anyways, that's a different story altogether.

Although there weren't too many gym-ers at the Summit location at this hour, there was a measurable sample.  There were first-timers, beginners, intermediates, experts, lazy people, active people, thin people, average people, fat people, attractive people, ugly people, young, middle-aged, old, and all sorts of people of every nationality and tongue.  I on the other hand, haven't been to a gym since 2007.  In other words, anyone and everyone regardless of level or body type goes here.  Yes, I'm verrrrrry observant.

You're free to go to any dance class you want and not be judged.  You can join a pick-up game at the indoor basketball court or play volleyball on certain days or hours.  You can do just one set of chest presses.  No one cares.  But I care about this gym.  I was sold on the indoor basketball courts from the very beginning.  I just wish they could install racquetball courts.  Or do I have to pay more for that?

I can only speak about the mornings, since I've never worked out in the afternoons here. The gym has clean equipment and locker rooms, friendly day staff, and a lot fewer meat-heads than the Rancho Cucamonga gym. It can get busy at times, but there is plenty of room to work. The pool is OK; but it would be better if it was outside, like the Bally's in Rancho.

I don't have kids, so I don't know how the kid's center is, but that will change in a few months.

I'd give it 5 stars if they had more squat racks, a glute-ham developer, and some kettlebells. (You hear that, 24 Hour Fitness corporate HQ??!?)

Friendly Staff in the afternoon...the manager was very well informed. Just joined this gym since it's 2 minutes away from my house...bonus! Clean bathrooms, clean equipment and lots of them! I just met with my personal trainer today and was very impressed!

For those of you who is intimidated with joining a Gym this place is right for you! The staff will work with you on achieving your goal ( damn, I sound  like a commercial...)

The gym is fine, but what's up with the half court basketball games? They keep the volleyball net up 24/7 and no one ever plays volleyball in there. I really don't understand it since I just moved here and every other 24 that I have been to plays full court. It's making me consider looking into the LA Fitness.

Wide range of body types, so you don't feel uncomfortably large. Signing up for spin...1 h in advance! Wait for treadmills but it goes fast less than 15 min. bought personal training but the trainer kept quitting...so no consistency with that "personal" touch. It's a gym. You can get your workout on before 6 pm. After 8:38pm. Lots of regulars, who never smile or say hello even if you do. Staff is friendly and they smile with their eyes too, not just teeth. Locker rooms clean. I use a lock, since I had my MAC makeup bag pilfered there. Who wants someone else's make up? I didn't re- lock while I showered off the salt. Everyone brings a towel, lots of TV sets. Equipment works.

Just joined this gym and I'm relatively impressed.  The pool is clean and always empty so I can get a nice swim early in the morning.  The machines are all color-coded so for those who are first-timers, they can just look at the colors depending on what body part they would like to work out on.  The basketball court is ok, but I'm not sure if they supply b-balls or not.  I hardly ever see one in there that is owned by 24hr fitness.  The bathrooms are VERY clean, which is great.  My only complaint is the lack of racketball courts.  Other than that, it's a pleasure to come to this location.

I've read the other reviews, over all each experience is unique to one's own workout needs and experience. I say this bcs I use only the free weights, hammar strength, and cable machines. I was training a female friend. We tended to go late at night to avoid the crowds. It does get crowded and there are plenty of tred mils (I prefer long runs outdoors) but let me talk about the positives...

It was clean. Staff is friendly. Plenty of parking but just walk a little bit, really not a problem. There's always a spot. The men's locker room was clean although inexperienced clients failed to use locks which I recommend you always attach to your gym bag. People are nice, really no rude nor crude people.

The reason why I discontinued my membership after 2 months were the messy situation with the free weights and people killing time on workout stations while on the phone or BSing. Gymtime is gymtime, one can socialize while knocking out sets but pls not on the phone. My biggest problem was wasting time looking for safety clips, searching for enough weights and/or dumb bells bcs customers would not replace them in their proper place. Ppl would just come up and remove weights from a bench I was on. Now perhaps they didn't think I was going to bench more weight but it's happened a few times and it's just annoying to have to tell someone, "Hey, I'm gonna use that." I'm not shy but I hate feeling like a gym creep.. LOL! Etiquette would be to ask. Then perhaps this was bcs the night attendant was usually alone, the weights were a mess? Someone would get a single dumb bell and just leave it in a hidden corner. There's only one fly maching for chest, only two tricep dip stations and not enough adjustable inclinded & declined benches. Clients were not instructed to use shower shoes, YUK! Feeding ground for foot fungus. No gym towels offered (only for sale). Not enought water stations. Even when poorly packed the ventilation was poor and bit stuffy. I once forgot my bag of hand chalk and the attendant said they didn't know what it was so they threw it out. Perhaps a better lost and found system? But that was my fault for forgetting it. :)

Over all it is just OK if it's close to your house but i was driving 15 miles each way and I could have just worked out a closer gym. I tried it bcs I was helping out a friend and when that stopped I really thought about keeping my membership to use at other facilities but I'd just rather pay the day to day fees. $10 for a visitor's pass I think. Try getting a week tryout pass online and go the hours you usually would work out and see for yourself. You might not have an issue with it like I did - depending on your workout and needs. Good luck.

    Staff is very friendly.
People sit at machines and talk.
Staff walks by and let it happen.
Seems like the place is slowly falling apart.
Machines are always out of order for days at a time.
4 out of 12 tv's are out of order.
Most machines don't have the sound to the tv's.

    --Average gym---
I go to a lot of different gyms and thought I'd check this one out since I was in the area.  Its alright, for a sport.  It seems really small compared to other 24 hour Sport locations, but the equipment is new, as is the location.
I was impressed by the service tech taking apart the cardio machines and cleaning them out, and wiping them down.  He had a lot of pride in the work he was doing, and it shows with that, and how all the machines were clean, and working well.
They had the normal machines, weights , and other things that would be expected.
The only negative thing that I was surprised with was the locker room.  It needed to be cleaned since there was trash and kind of a mess around the lockers and the bathroom had a horrible, strong smell of urine there.  It was there when I arrived and when i left about 2 hours later.
Overall its an alright location, much smaller than the Rancho Cucamonga location, but less crowed there.  The machines are better kept and they have the newest toys to try for your work out
