    Arcadia, CA

    4.0 star rating
    5/3/2012

Overall, I'd have to say that this gym is above average, and I personally prefer Arcadia 24 over MPK.  I will breakdown which aspects are above average and which ones miss the mark.

    Services:

    (1) Personal Training - When I renewed my membership earlier this year, the fitness manager at the time tried to and successfully did upsell a personal training package to me.  She talked up one personal trainer in particular, saying he had not only the breadth but also the depth of knowledge and experience to help me reach my fitness goals.  (My thoughts: oh yeah?! PROVE IT! I was skeptical..) She set my expectations really high.  Fortunately, I was not disappointe! Not in the least bit.  I recommend Tommy Lam to anyone and everyone interested in personal training.  He exceeded all my expectations.  I already lead a pretty active lifestyle, but he did an amazing job coaching me through different workouts AND correcting my form, so that I don't work myself towards an injury or simply work out the wrong muscle group(s).  Apparently, I had been doing a lot of exercises improperly all this time!  Tommy was definitely worth every penny. He's super thorough and shapes your training to match your fitness goals--whether it's losing body fat, overall toning, preparing for a race, or just living a healthier lifestyle. I definitely got my results, and I continue to take what I've learned and apply it to every workout sesh.

    (2) Classes - I've taken yoga, cycle, and turbo kick.  I recommend taking yoga with Kat. Why? She. Is. Awesome!  I've taken at actual boutique yoga studios, bikram college, etc etc.  Kat is legit.  For cycle, you should expect to arrive at least 15-20 minutes early to secure a spot.  DOWNSIDE: there's this new policy/feature I think the club manager Randy started implementing.  You can secure a spot in advance for the low low price of $1, which defeats the purpose of offering a free class if you ask me.  But for a class thats in high demand like cycling, I guess it's necessary.. Whatever. -_-

    Facilities:

    (1) Cardio - Being fairly new, the gym itself has good flow and I REALLY appreciate the ventilation throughout.  Unlike the Monterey Park 24, you can get your cardio on on the first floor without feeling claustrophobic or as though you're going to pass out from the heat generated by all the machines and sweaty bodies.  There's a decent sized army of cardio machines: treadmills, stairmasters, ellipticals, bikes, and 2 row machines.  Seldom do I have to wait more than 5-10 min for a cardio machine even during peak hours.

    (2) Locker Rooms - You make your way down towards the pool and the locker rooms are for lack of a better word, gross.  Why? Well, to start, the toilet seats are almost always covered with water (at least... I hope it's water...) There needs to be some division/separation between the showers and the rest of the locker room because it gets really humid and moist up in that mug.  Besides that, it's no better/worse than any average locker room.

    (3) Sauna/Pool - Yes, they have both.

    (4) Weights/Machines - Spacious and good flow.  I can't emphasize how much I appreciate the open space of this gym. However, when it gets busy 5p-8p (Mon-Thur), it gets pretty packed.  The wait for any given machine isn't too bad; plus everyone is really good about getting in and out.  DOWNSIDE: people are bad about reracking their weights.

    (5) Indoor basketball court/Group X room - yep they got em.

Management is horrible at this location. I have been a member of 24 hour fitness for at least six years. My family of 5 all started their memberships when the 24 hour fitness in Arcadia opened. The facilities at this location have not been well-maintained over the years, and there are more than just minor wear and tears on the cardio machines. I'm thankful that I moved to NYC, and so I go to the clubs over there.

I have not attended the group classes yet; however, my parents go quite frequently and have told me about their awful experiences. For one, the management seems quite incompetent, especially the manager for this location (I believe his name is Randy, from what other Yelpers have mentioned). My parents usually attend the Samba classes in the evening. Because the class is so popular at this location during this time of the day, management (aka Randy or Corporate) has implemented a priority waiting list to reserve a spot for the class for $1 each time. $1 is nothing really. But, $1 every time my parents have to attend a Samba class? What's the point of free group classes? Why don't you just charge money to attend all your classes? It's free for a reason. Why don't you create a list for people who want to attend these classes, so when the class reaches its capacity, then you stop accepting people. Or, how about you offer more Samba classes and one less of another unpopular class? Apparently when I spoke to Randy the manager, he had told me that there was an incident where the class was over capacity. Someone complained and notified the police. Randy, how about you stop pissing your customers off? I don't have anything personally against Randy. I have a problem with him and his management team. Don't just stand there and look pretty. Why don't you manage your club a little better?

Other than that, the club itself is usually very busy. There is ample parking. There are always a ton of drivers who like to speed around the corners in the parking lot. The location is very convenient for people who live around the 626 (right off the 210 freeway). But, OMG your cardio machines are so OLD!

I love 24 hour fitness and this is one of their newer gyms. Sam is still the best instructor I have ever had! Love her body pump class! I am still sore from Wednesday.

This gym is pretty clean and very bright. I usually prefer the one on Halstead though because it is less crowded than this one.

The best quality in a trainer is someone who's attentive and focused on your goals, doesn't mind being thorough in explaining the nutritional information and workout routines that will achieve success. Tommy is a Master Trainer at 24hr fitness (Arcadia) that met those criteria and I would highly recommend him to anyone serious about having a personal fitness trainer:

    *shower/bathroom review only

After a hike, hubs and I decided to stop here and shower.
I won't get into the specifics, we had plans locally......

Showers were clean, locker room was clean, it worked well for what
    I needed.

A few things caught my eye; there was a sign in English and Chinese that read "please don't spit." I thought WTF is that all about???

Then this chick came in and hacked a big one in the sink.......seriously?

This gym seemed to be full of Republicans, there were BUSH supporters all over the place.  Get with the change peeps, Obama is in office now.

Overall, decent gym. I would work out there.

One of the better 24 hour fitness that I have been too. I usually go around 4pm and it's not packed. The facility is clean for the most part. This place has a pool, steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi. A lot of new machines.

I like this location a little more than the one in Monterey Park. Came on a quiet Sunday evening so there weren't too many people. Unlike other 24s, the cardio machines are on the 1st floor.

There's an indoor basketball court as well as an even bigger lap pool & jacuzzi thing. Plenty of parking in the structure next door as well.

This is my go to gym. I frequent this place a lot. Compared to the MPK one, I prefer this location. Most of the workers at the front always greet me "hi" and "bye" which is pleasant.

Cardio - High ceilings with great ventilation. I tend to be a night owl gym girl so I usually never have to wait for anything. I guess I gym really late at night because I'll be running and the cleaning guy is dusting my treadmill while I am still on it which can be distracting. I prefer these treadmills because it feels sturdier and are not cramped together. There are lots of cardio machines to choose from and most of the tvs are working. However, some of the sound receivers on the cardio machines don't work. Most people who go here do have good cardio gym etiquette, especially really sweaty ones who wipe down the machines after they use it. THANK YOU!

Weight room- The weight room is huge and spacious. It can be congested testosterone nation at peak hours. Weight room is a disaster late at night. Is there no gym etiquette up here? People do not regularly rerack the weights. I always see random weights all over the floor! One time I had to walk all around the weight room looking for the missing partner DB which I wasn't even able to find at the end. Another huge peeve of mine is seeing people wear SANDALS to work out in. I don't want to look at your hairy feet or hear the annoying sound sandals make while you walk around. Along with my stink face I give them, I secretly wish a 120 DB would fall on their nasty exposed toes!

Women's bathroom -  is really gross, especially at night. Is it so hard to flush the toilet? Older asian ladies use the one lone working hand dryer to blow dry their hair and sometimes I see them throw their leg up and blow dry their nether regions ( I am not joking!). There is now a sign above the lone working hand dryer in Chinese which I can not read which I tell myself addresses this issue. Does anyone know?

Classes - most classes are $1 per class to reserve a spot. With membership fees you already pay, why double dip into our pockets?

Parking is free and ample with leveled structure parking.

So far, so good. I usually stop by the gym after work M-F, so I'm there from 6pm-8pm. Locker rooms are so so. I wouldn't walk barefoot, even if it was spotless, so it doesn't matter to me. I shower at home, so I can't comment on that. For the time of day that I'm usually there, it's really not that busy. I never have trouble finding parking (so what if you have to park on the roof? Aren't you there to work out anyway?). I have yet to have to wait for a step / cardio machine. I really enjoy Roya's group cycle class, she's fun and energetic. But get there early, it books up fast.

Overall, no complaints. The staff is always friendly.

Oh, and the cute guy with the great smile that's always at the front desk when I check in doesn't hurt ;)

I never knew I was allergic to chlorine until I started swimming at this 24 hour fitness. I recently moved to a new house that doesn't have a pool anymore and was really excited to give the pool at 24 hour a test try. However, after my 2nd and 3rd try, I would feel really faint, with each time getting worse. The 3rd time I almost even threw up in the toilet. And now whenever I walk to the sauna, just the few seconds I'm in the pool area getting a whiff of chlorine in the air, I begin to feel nauseous.

BUT besides, my minor allergies to chlorine, this place is amazing!!! It's never really too crowded that you are almost guaranteed to find a machine that you want. They have a lot of cardio and weight lifting machines so always something to do. The classes do get a little bit more full during the busy hours at night. But the instructors are really nice and it's fun going with friends. Just remember to wait in line a little earlier so you can make sure you get space.

A little downside is that there aren't many mats upstairs to stretch out on after your workout. Other than that, nothing too serious.

The people are just so nice too!!!! Super friendly when you arrive and when you leave. :)

    RERACK WEIGHTS PLEASE!

Service here has gone downhill significantly since I last came here back in Dec 2010-Jan 2011 and wrote my previous review. The weight room is like a war zone of scattered weights and dumbbells, and no one follows good gym karma in reracking. It definitely wasn't the case when I last came here. I'm spending a good majority of my time during my workout to just look for the proper weights.

This 24 Hour Location was built a few years ago and the gym itself looks pretty nice, but like all gyms I'd like it to have better ventilation systems cause when it gets busy the smell of sweat takes over me! lol The equipment is pretty new, but because there are SO many people that come to this location they get worn out pretty fast! It also takes them a while to repair broken machines too. The basketball court and swimming pool is clean and pretty big. The gym also offers day care while you workout. They have a great variety of workout classes, but you have to sign up at the front desk for some classes, as they tend to fill up pretty fast.

They offer a huge private parking lot and I usually go in the morning or at night, but there have been quite a few car robberies! I am not even joking! They say they have a security guard patrolling the lot but I personally have never seen him. So if you're parking there late at night LOCK YOUR DOORS & KEEP YOUR BELONGINGS LOCKED IN YOUR TRUNK!!!

Pros: It is one of the gym locations that is actually open 24 hours! Clean environment, friendly staff, large workout areas, basketball court, swimming pool, locker room, daycare, workout class area, personal trainers, private parking

Cons: semi-frequent robberies in the parking lot

Would have been a 2 star review had it not been for the opening of the Monterey Park location freeing up some prime work out real estate at this Arcadia location.

// SERVICE // Usually greeted with a smile at the front desk which is more than I can say for all of the LA Fitnesses I use to frequent in the area.

// FACILITIES // The workout equipment is in decent shape, but then again the gym is on the newer side. The restrooms on the other hand are disgusting. There is hair everywhere and the toilets are always filthy.

// WAIT // This location is usually the most crowded during the popular fitness classes such as the night time Yoga class. If I come after 8-9 pm though, I usually don't have trouble getting a cardio machine whereas the same definitely not be said for the MPK location which is crowded well until 11 pm.

This location is a 24 hour sport, so they have a pool, basketball courts, and one group x room.

They have the standard free weights that end up on the floor most of the time. It's a pain when you are on a roll with your workout and now is spending time walking around trying to find the mate to the weight you want to use. (Really people, it's not that hard to re-rack your weights when you're done with your workout.)

One of my biggest complaint about this place is it seems that some of their weight machines that are out of order will take quite some time for them to get fixed. For example, the leg abduction machine has been out of commission for well over a couple of months now, and the bigger problem is, they only have one of these machines in the entire gym, so the only machine being out of order for months is not acceptable.

Not sure if it's due to the location of this gym, but it seems no matter what time you go, it is always packed with people. I've gone at 6am on a Saturday or Sunday, 3pm on a weekday, or 8pm on a weekday, and there always seems to be a wait for one of the cardio machines.

Overall: I will still come to this gym when I'm in the neighborhood, but would not go out of the way for it.

I like this gym. It is better than the 24 hour fitness in Monrovia. I usually workout during non-peak hours, so I would not know about the wait time for machines during peak hours.

Pasadena 24 hour fitness center is much better than this.

My only problem with this place is the selling techniques that they use. I bought a 2 yr membership through costco. I bought it for $319. Comes out to around $15/month. Best part was, I bought it online and you don't even have to be a costco member to buy this certificate through http://costco.com.

Now coming to the worst part, I bring this certificate to Arcadia location to activate it. I had to meet up with some fitness manager to do this. She goes on and on how the programs that they have which cost about $40-50/month and wants me to sign up for that and cancel this certificate. She tells me that through their research (!whatever), they have found that people who buy the costco certificate don't work out regularly than the ones who pay the monthly membership (a.k.a pay more money for the same deal). One good reason she gave was, if you buy monthly membership, you can cancel them when you want to. I tell her no and she then tries to coax me into buying their personal trainer program.

I give her reasons like, I want to talk to my husband before doing it and she pat comes her reply, "Will your husband say NO? If you want to really do something, will your husband say NO???

I had to firmly tell her that I like to buy things and not be sold, before I could get my damn certificate activated. I leave my son an extra hour at daycare so that I can workout. I had to waste more than half an hour of that time because of this stupid conversation.

I really want to ask 24 hour fitness, if you don't want people to activate 24 hour fitness certificates that you sell through costco, WHY SELL THEM?. Please don't make people buy them and then have you people  cancel them so that you can suck more money out of them.

This gym reminds me of Tao. If it were 60% less crowded, it would rock. No really, like rock your socks, rock.

Since we don't live in a dreamworld, and I'm sure this gym won't become exclusive or less crowded anytime soon, I'll review based on my recent experiences.

Sure it's crowded, but it's not to the point where I'm not going to get on a machine. So, not bad. The machines aren't broken, which is a major plus (vs my review on Glendora's) and though you may not always get your pick, at the very least it works.

As a girl I don't enjoy going upstairs, and I'm not sure if anyone else feels this way but man it's a complete sausage fest. And yes I feel a tad out of place when I go in the stretching area. It's not under anyone's control, but gosh it would be nice to have a balance of hormones.

Parking is kind of crazy (but really what isn't in Arcadia or any other asian area). But, like the machines, it's not like you aren't going to find a spot. Overall the gym does what its purpose is, and for the amount of people that go in and out - the machines are maintained.

Just watch out for the Sonic's on the way back. Talk about guilt trip.

It might not be the best on my list but if I'm in the area, I'll come here for a workout. Watch out when there's a crowd of people, go when there's less people which is around 9PM or later.

After a year membership, here are my thoughts:

Front desk - Though they are required to say hello and good bye to you, they are actually pretty nice.
Trainers - They are a great resource. I've asked them to help me check my body fat percentage, which they will do with you for free. Just talking to them, you can tell who can better understand your fitness goals. They're all definitely really qualified and surprisingly have a varied arsenal of exercises.
Cardio - Certain treadmills allow you to stay on more than 30 minutes! It's only a handful of them. Of course, you should mind the courtesy time. The majority of the machines are in shape, but some will squeak, many can't read your heart rate..  Even during the busy hours, I've only had to wait ten minutes or so before one frees up for use.
Weight areas - Intimidating during the peak hours, when many machines are flooded with men. If you're patient and keep an eye out, you'll get your turn. I wish they had staff sort the weights every so often. People leave the weights everywhere, and the dumbbell collection lost some of its lighter pieces, which renders the weights almost useless for me, because I'm pretty weak and I need those lighter weights.
Classes - I've only done yoga. Test the instructors to find the ones you like. Depending on the yogi, you might get a class that's more geared towards basics or one that will add push ups. They have some mats for use, but they are small.
Women's lockers - I think they just repaired one of the hand/hair dryers finally. Doors are missing in some of the showers.

I would give it three stars but things have been broken and nobody's fixing them.  There were a couple TVs that were failing for years and were never replaced. Now there are TVs that aren't even on anymore.  Broken?  Maybe.  They haven't been on in months.  With TVs dropping so much in price, (I've seen 42" for less than $500), why can't they replace them?  Also, a sink in the guy's locker room hasn't been functioning for months as well but nobody's fixed it. It just gets dirtier and dirtier...

The people here for the most part are good, but then there are those who leave their stuff on equipment and then walk away.  One guy leaves his book on a bike for over half an hour before coming back to it.  And just today, a girl got off the treadmill without stopping it.  The next (old) guy got on and slipped.  Please stop the treadmill before getting off, people. End of rant.

The guys at the front desk seem cool.  Sometimes they seem to be having fun, and other times they're just going through the motions.

This is my usual gym. It's 2 stories. First floor is where the children's play area, lockers, pool, and elliptical/treadmill/stairmaster is located. The second floor is the basketball court, class x classroom, and weights.

One thing I like about this gym is that they dont have the treadmills programmed to automatically end the workout after 30 minutes. Yes there is a courtesy sticker on the machine asking to keep the use to 30 minutes. But when there are 5+ other treadmills available and I just need another 10 minutes, I dont want to stop, reenter the program, just so that I can finish my workout.

Another plus I like is how the restroom is set up in the women's locker room. It's right there after you enter the lockers (some gym has it place all the way by the showers) and it has a glass wall separating the restroom area from the rest of the locker area.

Now the cons. Yes this 24 is crowded during peak hours. Not only do the machines get taken, the classes being offered are usually jammed packed with people. It's been months and they have yet to fix 2 of the 10 TVs. Just to name a few of the issues.

Of all the 24s I've been to, this one is one of the most spacious and well ventilated. This place also has a parking structure, so that's a plus (wont have to get back into a hot car after my workout). Overall, it's not too far of a drive and does the job when going during off-peak hours.

I give this a 3 star based on the amount of cardio equipment. Hardly any waiting and since this location is fairly new, most of the equipment is new too. Definite plus!

A lot of young people in the weight area. Kind of intimidating when a Pauly D. wannabe is air drumming on the tricep machine...."Umm, can you move please so us women can use it?!" is what I felt like saying but didn't because it seemed like every male in that joint was doing the same thing.....Ugh....

This 24 is WAY cleaner than most.

PROS: Equipment or machines are like new, where you can stick your headphones in and watch different t.v. stations from their many t.v. screens.
I like watching the food network type shows. They were showing "Two Fat Ladies," which I found funny. It can be a torturous workout for some, watching those delectable looking desserts being made with all that butter!

CONS: The classes felt like a joke, I had to leave. It has to be pretty bad for me to leave, but I can see how it works well for beginners or older folks getting back into the game. Some of them get really into it, cute.

The location is crowded on the week nights. There's always a line for treadmills. Most of the classes are super crowded so if you plan on attending a night class get there 5-10 mins early to stand in line. FYI-  Sam & GI Jane are great class instructors.
Weekends are nice bc you have your choice of machines! No lines!

This location has high ceilings so the air circulation is better than a lot of the other 24 hrs nearby. (I've been to Monrovia, W. Covina  ,& Pasadena)

I've been here only once and I thought it was pretty nice compared to the other 24's I've worked out at. I only used the cardio machines and didn't have a chance to go upstairs to check out the rest of the facilities. The locker rooms were big and spacious. First time I used the showers at a gym and I wasn't grossed out by it.

They also have a lap pool, whirlpool, steam room and sauna. Unfortunately I really wanted to get in the steam room and sauna but it was crazy crowded. Just from outside I can see people just standing inside the sauna. That was a bummer.

Until I try out this gym as a whole I can't give it better than three stars. I would probably like it if this facility was closer to me. It was really random of me to be in this area so not sure if I'll be back.

I have purchased the two years member pass through Costco. Obviously, it was a pretty good deal. ($300 for 2 years) I enjoyed the group classes very much, but there are few you have to pay $1 per class and you have to get ur ass in the gym to register for the class.

The reason why I gave only one star, because ...

I reserved two cycling class last week, and paid $2 fee. Unfortunately, I had to be out of town last week, and I called the front desk to reschedule the classes to this week. So, I was all ready this week to get into the gym 10 mins earlier before the class time. And the front desk girl said my name wasn't on the class list. And I was like ... I called to reschedule ... and she was like you have to pay again in order to reschedule !!! I was like WTF ... I told her I have paid already last week ... I just couldn't make it ... so I called to reschedule ... !!! Why I have to pay again?? I paid last time ... !!! I was trying to tell her the REASON that makes more sense here ... !!!

Anyways, she was trying insist her LOGIC here too ... so I decide to end the conversation ... FORGET it ... the last thing I said to her ... !!!

I think it's not a matter of the money that I have to pay ... is just u wanna this thing to make sense ... !!! You pay, you reserve a space in the class; you call to reschedule if you cant make it; the money u paid last time should be valid for the rescheduled time !!!

I am not going to this gym again !!! Not recommended if you are a FAN of their group PAID classes ... !!!

This is my usual gym. Always crowded, but I usually go when its not too busy. I do my workout and I leave. But there is one thing I like most about this gym, an eye candy trainer. Lol.

This is one of the closest 24 Hour Fitness to me. The West Covina one is just out of the question. The front desk attendants here are friendly. I'm guilty of forgetting or misplacing my ID card at home but they always let me pass with a nice reminder.

They have those thumb-scanners now and you no longer have to show them your ID card. The thought of placing my thumb onto a scanning device that hundreds of other people have placed their thumbs on... is a bit unsettling to me. I think I'd rather carry my card.

The crowd here? Mostly Asians. Summer time is THE WORST! Nothing but a bunch of kids and teenagers who come here to mingle and get their flirt on. Seriously, it turns into a social meat market for the youngins. All they do is take up machines and space (not even working out). No offense to the very few who actually do come here to work-out.

The locker room? G-R-O-S-S! Some females are worse than men and I really don't want to "go there" so I'm just going to leave it at that.

I hate coming to this 24 Hour Fitness between the hours of 4-10pm. Waiting for an available machine can eat into your work-out time, especially when you don't have much time to work with in the first place. I always do 30-40 minutes of cardio downstairs and 20-30 minutes upstairs.

I don't know about you guys but I get really annoyed when I see guys walking around upstairs with flip flops on. Seriously, they're just asking for it. My husband dropped a huge weight on his toe awhile back. Yeah, it was UGLY and he had on thick shoes!

I've also witnessed a guy placing his weights on a bench... only to have them roll off onto the floor barely missing another guy's feet. Uh, LAW SUIT???

    A-OK..

I have been a 24hr member for over 3 years now and have been to a handful of their locations. It has been a little over a month going everyday to this 24 and my review follows:

Pros: Modern/Recent equipment/Machines. There have been times where 1 or 2 running (stairs, treadmill ect.) have been down but are always fixed within a weeks time.

Cleaning crew active, yes one of the few 24's that have someone there full time to wipe down the place. Its a 24 so its nearly impossible to be clean and you will run into some nasty looking machines or weights but luckily there are enough you can move on and notify the front desk (see below) who will have someone on it quickly. (this is rare for a 24 that I have seen)

Front desk, very polite which is a plus as odd as that is to believe. The cost per month/year may be cheap but the quality of employees etiquette remains high.

    Cons: PARKING...
multi story structure, speed racers, and creative parking.. For the past month parking has been a nightmare, there is sometimes (rarely) security inside the structure to help. There seems to be many "racers" that believe their vehicles are meant to be driven at the limit inside a parking structure? Overall I can accept crowed parking (its a gym! deal with it!) but the speeding/dangerous driving going on needs to be taken care of before someone gets hurt and lawsuits are filed..

    Gym members Etuquette..
We all pay the same $ to use the facility, why some believe that they are entitled to a machine you have your ipod/water/towel at while you are walking to clean the equipment I cant tell you.
-In the past month or so this has happened at least*** once a week. Its rude enough to start running on  a machine that clearly has personal belongings but to ignore them as they walk back and attempt to reclaim them as you are working out! (Awkward moments) This is something you will have to put up with or have your workout partner try hold both machines while you go grab towel to clean.

Cleanliness: Its great that 24 here have a cleaning crew HOWEVER it would beneficent everyone if the Staff enforced a stricter BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL rule. Think about it.. it makes sense.

    OVERALL:

A-OK why? because at the end of the day we pay $ to use the gym, granted I only run here since its become increasingly dangerous to run outside in Arcadia with the poor driving ability of the residents here. If you just need to get your 6 miles in for the day its a great place. If your looking for clean, professional member gym I would look else where.

I've been coming here for the past 2 years or so, I got my membership through the Costco deal.

THE GOOD: There's a huge variety of weight and cardio machines. The guys that work here are helpful and friendly. Mostly all the machines are in working condition. The (women's) locker room is always clean.

THE BAD: This gym gets INCREDIBLY packed at its peak hours (ie: in the morning before 10:30AM, after work around 5PM to 9:30ish and on the weekends before like... 7PM. I've never been to a group class here but my mom has and she's said that it was crazy packed.

THE UGLY: The jacuzzi is usually really gross looking (but that still doesn't stop me from getting in it oftentimes... which is pretty grody). There's always (despite the time) someone in each lane in the pool, making it impossible for me to swim laps. Some of the girls that work here at the front desk are really rude. Also, there are some creeps that "work out" later at night, BEWARE and if you're not sure, ask the front desk person to escort you to your car (some creepy older guy WAITED outside for me once).

I usually just come here to use the cardio machines and/or the jacuzzi and sauna. For group classes I usually go to the 24 in Monrovia.

Good gym. Has everything one would need like every other 24 Hour I've been to. It gets super crowded all the time though.

This one has a basketball gym, therefore its better than the one in Monterey Park.

I do my cardio here, usually in the morning or afternoon. I've been going here for years. I use to lift weights here but a year ago I got a membership to Foothill Gym. I much prefer to lift at Foothill Gym. The one thing about Arcadia 24 I like is the air circulation is better than everywhere else. I also love the escalating stair stepper. It's a really good workout. The first time I did it I went for an hour on level 5 and I sweat buckets.
On the other hand, the weight room is terrible. It's full of people who have no clue what they're doing and have extremely poor gym edicate. I typically end up pissed off the whole time and wanting to knock someones head off. So yeah, bad... The only reason I go up there now is to stretch.

As far as 24 hour fitness sport clubs go, this one is relatively new, so it is pretty nice.

Not too much to say about it, since it has to have certain amenities to be a "sport level" club.  Lots of cardio machines and weights, along with a pool, basketball court, and aerobics studio.

There is a covered, multilevel parking garage and post office next door.  Also, very close to Santa Anita recetrack and mall.

This freaking gym is ridiculous. It's SO packed ALL the time!

I only go here for the Sunday morning class to get a workout in before church, and at 7:30 in the morning ON A SUNDAY there is a line of 30 people waiting for the class. Don't you people sleep?!

As for most of the 24 Hr. Fitness Group X classes, the instructors are usually really good.

I just can't get over how busy this place is. It makes working out a pain in the @$$, as if it isn't already!
