This is a great small town, throw back type of place. You really get the sense of home cooking here. I had a veggie omelet that was wonderful. The service was great even thought the server was really busy. Just moving to FG, I will for sure make this a regular place.

The decor is totally hokey but the food and service are fantastic.

Yum, yum yum! Flat, crispy shreds of potatoes, the kind you have dreams about, and they never come that way, except here. Crispy, sweet, as only local potatoes can be. And the hollandaise???? You guys know me! This is REAL. Real Hollandaise! The best butter-only rich sauce on perfectly toasted and buttered English muffins, OH MY GOD and no I won't abbreviate omg. This place is tiny, and no room for error, and they don't need any. The owner gave up her post and came back, and we are all lucky to have her. Thank you!

We were staying at the Grand Lodge and were tired of McMenamin's food, so looked up local restaurants on Yelp, and found the 22nd St. Station. We went there for breakfast and were not disappointed! Good food and quaint atmosphere with a model train running around the ceiling. It's tucked away in a neighborhood by Pacific University, and we had a little trouble finding it. Well worth finding for good breakfast!

We LOVE this place! Whenever guests are in town, I try to steer them toward the 22nd Street Station, mainly so that I can eat there myself. Every guest has loved it as much as we do. The service is always friendly and as fast as they can make it, even when the place is packed.
As far as food, I can recommend the bacon omelette, crab omelette, any of the Benedicts, the crepes, the spinach/feta omelette, and of course, the delicious side dish potatoes. The coffee isn't bad and they keep it a' comin'.
The ONLY complain I have ever heard about this place is that they only take cash. That being said, the times that we have forgotten, the ladies have graciously allowed us to swing by later after hitting a cash machine. -

Best biscuits and gravy I have ever had, and I am from the south. The owner is super friendly and welcomes you in to her place like you are a part of the family. They have a bunch of toys for the kids to play with to keep them busy while the food is being prepared and also a train that goes around the top of the ceiling. Just a great place and we love the fact that we are supporting local people, and not a chain restaurant. If they start taking credit cards, then I would give them 5 stars.

Love going to this place for getting brunch. The people who work here are always so friendly and you truly feel welcomed to come in and have a meal. I always get the chicken fried steak -- the country gravy is delicious. Also, the coffee is a standard with my brunch and they make sure my cup never stays empty.
The diner is a bit hidden and there's only a street sign to point you in the right direction. But it's located at the end of a dead end street across from some houses so its fairly quiet. There are a couple tables outside as well -- a perfect place to dine on a beautiful summer's day. -

Just moved to Forest Grove and just found this place. Love it!!! The atmosphere is great!!! The staff is great!!! The food is really good and coffee is good. Again, the atmosphere is exactly what I was looking for. 1950's vintage with a flair for trains and plains. This is my new breakfast place.

Had the spicy sausage while the kids had the northwest special and stack of pancakes. Sausage was quite spicy and flavorful. Scrambled eggs were fluffy and not over cooked. Kids said pancakes were excellent.
This is a very family oriented restaurant off the beaten path. Locals know about it and come here often, judging from the greeting they receive at the door. Despite the familiarity with most of the regulars the service for everyone else is excellent. Coffee never gets cold. The sole wait person is very efficient and is never idle.
Airplanes hang from the ceiling while a suspended garden scale train runs overhead. Very fun environment.
Word of warning, they do not take plastic nor do they have an ATM on site. Plan ahead as prices run about $10/person. -

We *love* this local family diner. Its tucked away in a neighborhood and hard to find. Tons of regulars visit here, and I am somewhat hesitant to even tell others about it.
Nevertheless, its great for kids with tons of toys to play with and super friendly staff (mostly family). Come more than a couple of times and they'll recognize you and chat you up.
They always have specials, plus a regular offering of breakfast and lunch.
They DO NOT take credit cards, so bring cash. They also close when it gets slow, normally between 3 and 4pm. Meals are around $8-10 for adults. They have some kids stuff for around $5-6.
In any event, this is an amazing little diner and we feel very fortunate to live just a few miles away. We probably end up here 3-4 times per month. I get the chicken fried steak breakfast. Yum. -

I had heard great things about this place but was disappointed. I gave it two times and each time I left disappointed. Food was either over cooked or under cooked.
