This is an awesome place to live. The staff is great... Catie and Joel are particularly wonderful! And Gary saved my earring from the disposal so I will forever be indebted.
This building is everything you could wish for... the only down side is that it's in Crystal City... -

This is an amazing building with a lot of great amenities. The price however is high compared to other properties (both in Crystal City and in the Alexandria/Arlington area.)
There is, however, ONE MAJOR DRAWBACK...The power goes out in this place ALL THE TIME. By all the time, I mean that I have lived here for 10 months and it has gone out seven times. When the power goes out, all the rest of Crystal City still has power. This issue has something to do with the electrical load that the building draws. The building just can't handle the load. The problem was especially pronounced during the summer when we lost power at least five times. When that power went out there was no AC...and with floor to ceiling windows, it got HOT in a hurry. The leasing office will tell you the problem is fixed, but don't believe them...it went out again last night and the building next to us, hell even the street lamps right outside still had power.
Also, Julianna in the leasing office is amazing.
Update....4/13/2011 Turns out all of the power meters in the apartments have been crossed...so residents have been paying wrong bills for more than a year...the fault lies squarely on the building owner for this...they wired the building and the electrical company simply hooked up the power at the main switch...another joy of renting from the greedy company known as Voronado...(note - I am not knowcking Bozutto...they manage the property nicely.) -

I live here now.. I love it here. The concierges are wonderful and so nice - and take the time to ask you about your day.
The coffee bar is great, I go down for coffee everyday. The gym is beautiful. -

220 Twentieth is a great building. Leasing staff and management are nice enough, but do not know (or put on an act about not knowing) what is stated in marketing materials and the website. Ask them about things that interest you before you sign the lease to make sure you get confirmation. I find crystal city to be depressing on weekends, many restaurants are closed for lunch and, if they are open, have terrible service.
