If you are looking to find an awesome sports bar that has a gazillion tvs, then this is the one for you! I came here with my sister to watch the Knicks vs Heats game a few weeks ago, and the quality of the tvs and the sound system was awesome. It was just what a devoted sports fan needed! 200 Fifth is really a great sports bar.

The food was good, but not the best. Their buffalo wings were decent. Shockingly, they also offered a large selection of pastas. I ordered the Penne a la Vodka w/ scallops, baby shrimp & sundried tomatoes ($14.50) and it was tasty and abundant. Their fries were horrible and a bit dry. Their creme brulee was alright too.

Come during happy hour (Monday & Thursday from 4pm-7pm & on Friday from 11am-7pm) as the drinks are half off. They have a large selection of beers, wines, and mixed drinks/cocktails.

The bad part is that this place can get really packed, depending on which sports game is playing that night. Once it gets packed, be sure to be pissed off in some way or another. It gets really rowdy, and overbearingly crowded to the point that people's bodies are right next to your table, especially your foods. When I went to 200 Fifth during the Knicks vs Heats game a few weeks ago, there were so many obnoxious uncivilized & uneducated people there. They would come in and block people's view, trash talk, act very immature, and hit on every single female that walked pass them (b/c the female bathroom was near them). And these were grown ass ghetto 20+ males. God did they drive me crazy. I was on the verge of kicking their ass!

Come to 200 Fifth as it is a great sports bar, but don't come during a really popular game. I rather just stay home and enjoy the game and be pissed free. If you do decide to come here, just don't sit in the tables that are in front of the large projector because that is where most of the no good late comers like to stand around.

I headed to 200 Fifth late on a Saturday night with a group of 13 people. The manager had us seated in about 10 minutes, which was quite impressive considering  how crowded it was. There are a lot of tables surrounded with TVs. Really, there are A LOT of TVs, at the bar, on the walls, and hanging from the ceiling so that each person essentially had their own TV or two. Sports bar to the extreme. Since it was late at night, and I was coming from a birthday party to continue the fun, the lively atmosphere was nice.

They had an extensive menu, including a whole menu of alcohol drinks made with ice cream. The most appetizing of these had the most unappealing name, perhaps as a joke - Cream of Jeans. It was delicious, but it was a bit odd having to say the name out loud. There weren't very many vegetarian options, which is why I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. It was okay, but the bread was bit overcooked (aka hard).

200 Fifth is definitely recommended if you are looking for a lively crowd and good drinks. They had a good selection of bottles of wine that were very inexpensive, so if you are a wine drinker, this is the place to go.

After climbing at Brooklyn Boulders we were hungry and looking for something to eat late at night.  After walking by far too many closed restaurants at 11:00 PM on a Friday night we came upon 200 Fifth.  Open until 3:00 AM for food?  Yes please!  The interior of this restaurant is great, definitely an old school kind of feel that's wide and spacious so you have room between you and other diners.  I ordered the striped bass with spinach and potatoes.  We also had a quesadilla and curly fries.  Service was pretty quick and the waiter was attentive.

The fish was cooked well, loved that the sauce had a hint of heat, however it was not fully de-boned.  I had to spit out two bones on my place, not a big deal since that's how Asian people role anyways but I certainly was not expecting it out of a non-asian restaurant.  So that's why I would take away a star from this place.  The potatoes that came with the dish were friggen tasty and the spinach was nothing special.  The curly fries reminded me of Arby's (not a bad thing at all in my mind) and the quesadilla was forgettable.

Came here a  couple of times to watch some games. There are a bunch of TVs around so you can watch whatever happy fun sportsy time show you're into. The staff is pretty nice. People were always coming by asking how everything was. The food isn't that great (standard sports bar type stuff) and the prices don't help.

I went here for happy hour with about 15-20 of my co-workers, and we were easily accommodated at 4:30 (Teachers. We start early.) with food, drinks, a billion chairs, etc.

Our waitress was super unhappy with us, and rightfully so, because we were totally obnoxious.

My main beef with this place: WHY DO YOU NEED FIVE TVs OVER EVERY TABLE? Seriously! I couldn't carry on any conversations without feeling like I was in an electronics store or something.

The most disappointing eggs Benedict ever.

My friend and I walked down 5th hoping to find a cute brunch place. When we found 200 Fifth, their menu outside brought us in! It seemed like a nice place. However, inside was loud, with about a billion televisions all playing some sports game. We didn't realize it was primarily a sports bar but regardless, we sat down.

Our waiter was incompetent. It took forever for him to take our order and then it took forever for us to receive our food. At one point, he took our sugar from us to give to another table! (My friend had ordered coffee)

Not only was the setting terrible, what with all the loud cheering and talking, the food was BAD. Another waiter brought us some bread and butter while we waited on our meal. The bread basket had all of TWO pieces of bread on it. I ordered the 200 Benny, my friend ordered a crab cake sandwich. After finally getting our food, my eggs Benedict was cold. The hollandaise was very tart and very lemon-y and the bottoms of my English Muffins were soggy. The home fries were bland too. I was completely unsatisfied. I doused my home fries with salt and pepper and smothered them in ketchup just to make it edible.

    Skip brunch at 200 Fifth!

We ordered about $55 worth of food for 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids, a couple nights ago, just one bag mind you and it took 2 and a half hours to get to us. 8 blocks away. We ordered at 9pm it arrived at 11:30pm. Food was cold of course and no one tried to make amends, I can't tell you how many times I called. Ridiculous! Never again and neither should you!

I wanted to like this place. The "veggie" burger was 1) not a  burger, 2) had no veggies. I asked if they had a veggie burger and he said no, so I said I would take the grilled cheese with tomato. He came back 1 minute later saying that yes they actually had one. But when I got this "burger", there was pesto, cheese and bell peppers. While eating it, I was confused as to what it was since their was no patty. It wasn't until I got the bill, I saw that yes in fact it was supposed to be a veggie burger.

Next time I will get the grilled cheese.

I also ordered mozzarella puffs, but it never came and I wasn't charged so that request went to the universe. I'm not sure why nowadays waiters refuse to use paper to write orders. It's a table of 3, so that's 9 items with drinks included, it's OK to write it down. It's better to get it right then to forget stuff or have to come back repeatedly asking questions. A hungry woman wants her appetizer, especially if the" entree" is pesto, cheese and peppers on a roll.

It was good for what it was, but it wasn't all that... The fries were edible.

Also the non pub food is VERY expensive when I doubt that the food is that fresh or made to order. 16 bucks for a pasta dish... I know it's park slope, but that's kind of ridiculous being that it's not an Italian restaurant. Anyway, just my opinion.

The food is pretty good (though the wings are average at best), good beer selection and when they are set up it's a great place to watch a game. Tons of tv's. Good wait staff.

However, a sports bar that isn't set up for 12 o'clock college football games on Saturday? Terrible. Happened for the UM-OSU game last weekend. When we asked why they didn't open the great bar area the manager snidely replied "you got tv and game sound over here." They finally opened the bar area around 1pm. I guess one bad manager can almost ruin things.

Decent sports bar.  Let's run down some cool and not cool things:
    Cool: I think they have 200 TV's
Not Cool: They don't always open the bar by noon on Saturday... so uh, it's a sports bar that's not always open for college games.. wtf?
Cool: I really like the chicken wings... they're pretty much your standard hot sauce wings, a classic done properly.  I don't think I've ever ordered anything but the wings.
Not Cool: My wife pretty much doesn't like anything else on the menu.  It's bar food though. If you know that going in, I don't see any disappointment.

It's the closest thing that resembles a sports bar to my pad though besides BW's at Atlantic so I'm sure I will find myself here.  Maybe one day they'll cater to the college football crowd.

A friend and I stumbled across this place yesterday after learning that our usual Park Slope burger-and-sports go-to (Rock Shop) was closed.

Since the Rangers played at 4, we got to the bar for the beginning of happy hour: 1/2 off all drafts (and some well drink specials, but we didn't care much about that). $3 for a draft in BK? Not too shabby. The draft selection was a decent mix of local and macrobrews: Brooklyn, Sixpoint, Spaten, Sierra Nevada, Kolsch, and other draft regulars.

There were TVs EVERYWHERE, both above the bar and also above every seat. Getting the staff to turn on the Rangers was not a problem. They seemed very accommodating when others requested various games. As time went by, we noticed both the Pens and the Blue Jackets games on different TVs. This made us happy, since it's not always easy to find bars with NHL Center Ice.

There was no sound for any of the games and the music selection was rather mellow and, IMO, lame (Shawn Colvin... Sheryl Crow... yikes). It didn't really fit with the sports bar theme... who wants to listen to doctor's office waiting room music when they're watching hockey and football? Oh well.

The place has two menus: one for dinner and one for bar food. Naturally, since we were drinking and watching sports, we opted for the latter. The food was okay. I ordered a portobello sandwich with fresh mozz and pesto. There was way more mozz than portobello, but it was pretty good. Fries were crispy. My friend tried to order a steak quesadilla and was told they only made shrimp and chicken, despite having chopped sirloin for nachos on the menu. Later in the evening, more friends stopped by and ordered nachos, zucchini sticks, and mozzarella sticks. The pico de gallo for the nachos was tasty, but there could have been more chips.

Our server was attentive, friendly, and quick. Gratuity was automatically added to our bill at the end.

I would come here again for more hockey and happy hour.

I would of given this place at least 4 stars if it wasn't for the food poisoning i got from this place Monday night for the Giants/Jets game.

I ordered penne w/ grilled chicken. When i received it, it was luke warm to cold. So i tasted it and the chicken had a funny taste to it and i assumed it was me since i am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to chicken (i already dont eat red meat or pork). So I asked her to warm it up some thinking it was that. When it came back it still had a funny fishy taste to it; i stopped eating the chicken all together and just ate some of the pasta.

My boyfriend wanted it to go for lunch the next day since he says i am super picky and it was probably just me. When we got into the car we smelled something really bad! We thought maybe the rugs got wet from the storm and now they stunk. Later that night my stomach starts to hurt really bad and I asked him to please smell the food...and IT WAS THE FOOD THAT STUNK SO BAD!!! It smelled spoiled!! He even mentioned in the bar something smelled funny but since it's was a big open space we thought it was all the diff smells combined.

Needless to say i woke up at 1:30am in cold sweat and running to the bathroom puking my brains out... TMI sorry!

Thank God i was smart enough to stop eating after the 1st couple of bites...i probably would of ended up in the hospital!

go to watch the game and drink DO NOT go to eat food...clearly they arent careful with how they handle it!

2 stars for the nice beer selection.  That's where this dive-want-to-be sports bar ends with a positive review.  The place smells bad, so I don't know why you'd want to eat here.  But the real bad part is that on Sundays, at noon (1 hour before NFL kickoff), they still require a $25 minimum to sit at the bar!!  So they're basically swindling people to spend more instead of letting folks like me come in and enjoy a couple of beers to pre-game.
This place needs to evaluate how good they think they are.

This is my 2nd review. I love this place to watch a game. Its a great sport bar. The apple cider pitcher of beer are like drinking apple juice, be careful lol! The food isn't so great hence the 3 stars. I'm saying tho, it is a restaurant. The deserts are good but you cant really go wrong on ice cream and pies. Friendly staff even when its busy. I watch the Giants go on their miraculous Superbowl run 5 weeks in a row at this place. Its my good luck charm. I was afraid if I broke the tradition of not coming they would lose. They need to work on their wings, its just not cutting it. No flavor I'm so disappointed there. Drinks are adequate I wont complain but nothing blows me away. The great thing about this place is the atmosphere and all the T.V screens!

I have always been a sucker for good ol' American bar food, and my heart belongs to any place that can and will serve me a nice juicy rare-med steak with mash or has more than 5 different types of pasta. But to take a [sports] bar and use half of it for a nice dine-in restaurant that doesn't have that cheesy commercial Applebees or Fridays ambience, REALLY calls my name.
Every time my boyfriend and I come here, we enjoy great service by their very friendly waitstaff, our choice of entree or chefs specials, or bar food... Which is perfect for us who may crave a salad one day, chicken fingers and fries the next, or maybe pasta, or maybe even sliders! Or hot wings! Or steak!
Their menu is well varied and decently priced. If the prices are too steep for you however, go with the bar menu. From a veggie wrap to a juicy steak (in case you haven't noticed by now, I'm a steak fiend) with sweet potato fries, they have it all for a lot cheaper than their entrees.
Now for you steak fanatics like myself, There are a few different options, I've had a couple, the more inexpensive of which being the steak and fries dish off the bar menu, and the more pricier one being the steak with a peppercorn sauce. With the steak and fries, it comes deliciously prepared the way I (or you) like it, with a mushroom gravy on top, and coming from someone who isn't too crazy about mushrooms, I'll tell you, I would pour that steak mushroom gravy on every meal for the rest of my life.
And with the peppercorn sauce, it brings the steak to a whole other level. It tastes similar to the gravy but a little more peppery (duh) and even more heavenly, asparagus and mashed potatoes also hits the nail right on the head for me. The savory gravy/sauce combines with the flavorful red juices from the meat and the crispy outside gives the perfect pink inside a lovely balance of texture. (And for all you other places that tell me my steak has to be well done, Suck it!)
During happy hour draft beers are half off and the waiters aren't afraid to recommend new things to you based on what you order. Oh, and their draft beer selection is long, but their full wine and beer and cocktail menu is even more extensive.
I love this place and it's one of me and my boyfriend's (he is a very picky eater) favorite restaurants.
    Totally recommend!

W-I-N-G-S! Wings! Wings! Wings!  Since I'm not a sports fanatic, I decided it would be more apropos to chant something that I do have passion for.

So yeah- I really like this spot.  It's a nice size, and a really great place to watch sports if you're into that.  Of course, I do love their wings and surprisingly, their mussels in white wine sauce are dang good! They also have a good selection of beers and cider on tap.

I came here a few months ago with my nephews (4 and 7) and they were really accommodating.

After a day of drinking-we headed to 200 fifth to grab some grub. We ordered fries, large order of wings and a small order of mussels. Loved it all- pretty good quality. This place is an all around good place. You like bar food..they've got it for you. You like pasta..they've got it for. I enjoy their buffalo wings very much. Also there is no shortage of televisions at this spot. Watching your favorite game should not be a problem here and crayons are available on the restaurant side to write on the white tablecloth- pretty cool touch.

We actually ended up here during a Jets game. Though they keep the sports bar "separate" from the sit-down restaurant section, just keep in mind that this pretty much is a sports bar regardless of where you sit.

The owners are usually there and always come to the table to see if things are ok. Which means a lot to a foodie like me. The food is EXCELLENT! The menu is vast but not overwhelming with many things to choose from. I would go here any day of the week and going here for sports games is FUN. Try this place out one of the best in Brooklyn.

This place is okay.   On the plus side, it's got a ton of televisions and they will put the one above your table to whatever channel you like (only you have to ask the waitress 4 times to get it done).

Other plus items....pretty good draft beer selection.   The food is typical bar food plus some items from the restaurant side.  Burger was ordered medium rare and came out medium well.  Waffle fries were good.  Beer was good.  Waitress didn't understand the concept of asking if you wanted another beer when your glass was empty and bone dry.  Dry as a bone, people!  I think they make money off of beer, so they should be refilling more frequently.

So overall, a decent place to catch a game (even if there are a disproportionate amount of Eagles fans there, I meant wtf?)

Go for the tv...stay for the beer.

I had SUCH a good time here last night. A friend was in from out of town and a group of us needed to find a nice, family-friendly, affordable place where we'd feel comfortable relaxing and chatting for quite a while and we found it!

While the man and I were standing outside waiting for the rest of the group, we noticed the huge sign advertising all their awesome weekday specials. My particular faves were 30% off a bottle of wine with the purchase of anything from their "From the Butcher" menu and a $5 small order of wings with the purchase of any entree.

Needless to say, we got started quickly with bottles of wine and beers and even a few shots of Jameson. Three small orders of wings came next: regular buffalo style, honey barbecue, and their southern style with garlic and red pepper. All tasty, though the classic buffalo was a little lacking. They could have used more sauce.

I knew immediately I would be ordering the steak au poivre. Number one, I love pepper. Like, LOVE pepper. Number two, I also love sauces. Anything that comes with some kind of extra condiment is a-okay with me, so I was all over that peppercorn sauce. My steak was DELICOUS. Oh my God, you guys, I was doing a happy food dance and making little squeals of delight throughout the entire meal. It was completely covered in a peppercorn rub and the sauce was the perfect accompaniment. The sides of garlic mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus also didn't disappoint and the whole thing paired perfectly with my malbec.

Everyone seemed happy with their meals, from salads to burgers to fish to pizza, no one left sad or hungry. And because we're gluttonous indulgers, we topped it all off with slices of apple pie and chocolate truffle cake. A la mode, obvi.

Our server was very sweet and accomodating, if a little goofy. :) We were there for three hours and they seemed happy to have us, even throwing in a few beers on the house and complimentary ice cream sundaes for the kiddos.

It's safe to say this is one of my favorite places in Brooklyn especially for a sports fan. With the abundance of televisions in the bar there is no way you can miss a play from any game on any sport. But also perfect for a casual first date or get together with friends.

The staff is always helpful, the drinks are always on point and the food is tasty!

My friends and I have come here the past two Saturdays to watch the Oklahoma* game. In fact, this time around where we were seated the TV's were not yet tuned to our game. Then we were told by our awesome waiter, Hiram, that some Ohio State fans decided to give up their game (because they were beating Eastern Michigan by such a wide margin), so we could watch ours. When I was told this my jaw dropped. Sorry, but THE Ohio State University doesn't have the most cordial fans. Heh. Anyway...

We spent several hours planted in front of the numerous flatscreens, consuming many pitchers of beer and eating lots of appetizers (try the home made chips and guac and the fried zucchini sticks). I'd like to tip my hat to Hiram--who, come to find out is from Michigan (yay!)--who was our waiter both times. He was very friendly, conversational, speedy and just an all around really cool guy. Both times we were here, the owner stopped by several times to check in on us, which is definitely an appreciated gesture. So, if you don't have cable, or, even if you do, but want to watch a game with a bunch of friends, this is the place to go, as they will be more than accommodating. An excellent sports bar indeed.

*No, no, don't worry, I've not defected. My team is still the University of Michigan.

bad bar food will do that to you.  give you 2 stars, that is.  actually, that rating's somewhat deceptive since the food really only merited a single star; the bump to 2 is for the outrageous(ly funny) # of televisions the bar area boasts.  no complaints about bad views here.  every angle is covered.  and hey if they switch the set in front of you to another game for variety, well, just look to the left or right or behind you.  kinda amazing in its extravagance and you'd think ideal for viewing college football/basketball games (or any sport?).  but sadly, it isn't, because, well, the food stinks.  and given my relaxed standards for bar food, that's saying something.  of our sub-par appetizers/snacks, the house-made guacamole was the biggest crime, from the oily and overly puffy chips to the much too watery guac, which had a greater ratio of diced tomatoes to avocado that made me wonder why this wasn't labeled salsa instead (and hey, let's not get into the weird stray yellow bits that we later identified as corn).  fries were crap, too, if crap be an oily heap of sorrow on a plate. just buck up, and drink up, i guess, and hope that your team pulls out a win to justify your visit.

On a Friday evening, my friend invited me out for a drink. This place is awesome for a sports bar. The decor was interesting and comfortable. The cushy high seats at the table gave a feeling of a couch and a stool all wrap up in one.  Although, I am not a beer drinker, the beverage of choice was called Sam Adams Cherry Wheat and it was delicious. I ordered a Cesar salad  w/chicken and he ordered  Roasted Boneless Half Chicken w/ mashed. Both dishes were amazing.  What's different about this place, there is a TV set up all over the place, so there is no way you can miss the game. The only negative was the waitress assigned to our section was not as responsive as the others I observed. So  I chalked it up as an off day for her as she acknowledge the errors in the order given and the delay in the order arrival.

So if you are in the mood to watch a game or socialize with follow team supporters, this is the sports bar to do so.

How many flat screens can one place have!?!? Over 50! Yeah that's right over 50!

This is the best place on 5th Ave to watch sports events.  The bar wraps around the restaurant and the tables and chairs are high...  The atmosphere is friendly and very amusing...  I feel kinda "cool" every time I go there.

    Drink Specials:
    Beer - Pints - $4.00
Beer Sampler - $11.00 - You choice of 6 Draft Beers (SWEET!!!!)

I am going to brag about their Nibble and Bites menu and how delicious it is.  Perfect with your beer special!

Believe it or not, their seafood is fresh and savory as well.  Something you wouldn't expect from a sports bar.

They also have regular menu items, bargain menu, weekend brunch, and daily specials...

No wonder this place gets so packed... Check it out, you will not be disappointed!

    Good TV Beers eats!

This is an awesome sports bar.  Literally TV's everywhere.  The bathrooms were spotless during a busy night.  Management pays close attention to details.  Drink specials are fair. The wings are tasty. When it come to a sports bar, the vibe and staff make it fun and you will have a great time at this place.

I have been going to this spot for as long as I can remember.  When i graduated JHS, and HS; my Mom took me there to eat.  Its one of the only original restaurants that have been in the Park Slope before its recent renaissance.

I have known the owner for a long time, and he has changed the restaurant to keep up with the changing crowd.  The vibe is always buzzing and positive.

I recently took my Mom there for a Mother's Day dinner, and I wasn't disappointed.  The food came hot, fresh and tasty.  My personal favorite is the Chicken Parmesan.  The portions are heaping and generous.

The owner will come around and make sure that everything is up to par with your meal, and share a funny joke.  I haven't been to the Sports bar side of the bar so I cannot speak to how it is.

When it comes to the restaurant however, you will not be disappointed.  They are usually very busy on the weekends, so it would be best to make a reservation if you can.  I prefer to go on Sunday's, its easier to get a table.

    Bon Appetit

When I lived in BK, when we couldn't decide where to go, we came here. Cheap drinks and just ok food (although I have not tried Soul Food night, that could be a whole other story). I prefer sitting at the bar as opposed to the tables since the bartenders are way more attentive then the wait staff.

I don't do sports, so when I am here with people who are fanatics, I tend to feel like I'm alone since all conversation is abandoned for the thousands of TV screens. Its a willy wonka experience for sports fans. MEH

However overall, its a comfortable, chill spot to just hang out with friends.

Decent food but our wait staff was very inexperienced. 2 entrees and 2 drinks = $66 + tip

I'd try other places in the area before going back

    tons of tvs...tons of tvs

the wings are pretty good and if you sit at the bar the service is good too.

anytime I have sat in a booth the service has been horrendous.

if you head with a group for sunday football, try and get there early to stake out a spot.

Came here late night and the staff members were still upbeat and friendly. The food was amazing and drinks as well. Our waitress was Nicole . She was so sweet and friendly. I would definitely go back here again .
