2 White Crew are the best cleaning service I've employed in Chicago. I can't recommend them enough. They are punctual, communicative, positive, friendly, thorough and efficient. After they leave, I always feel great joy in walking through our apartment and seeing how clean everything is. Their attention to detail is really great - places that I'm too lazy to clean or dust when cleaning on my own end up cleaned and dusted. All of this, and reasonably priced, too.

To begin with, this is the best name for a cleaning service ever. But really, my whole experience with Kenny and Kate was great. From the beginning - my email was answered within an hour - to the end - I just got home and walked into a sparkling clean apartment. I'm always a little skeptical of leaving cleaning crews alone in my apartment, but my little studio is barely big enough for 2, let alone 3 people. As soon as I met them, I knew it would be fine. They're trustworthy and have fantastic attention to detail - even the vase that holds fake flowers on a decorative shelf on the wall above my dresser is clean!!!?!?!?!!

Where did Katie and Kenny go?? I've been trying to get ahold of them for two weeks, I love them and they're my regular cleaners but their phone seems to be deactivated. Does anyone know where 2 White Crew has gone?

I have had 2 white crew twice. I was a little bit sketched out after the first time, because I guess this was right around the time they fired their lady... because kenny and katie had to come in and do an emergancy cleaning because that lady must've called in sick or whatever...but needless to say, someone came.
It wasnt "5 star" (I used to have Access Maids and was sick of getting ripped off at their outrageous prices and lieing employees). I was disappointed because I felt corners were cut. I work 2 jobs 7 days a week, and to come home and not have it sparkle made me sigh. I called them asap and Katie felt terrible. She was so sweet on the phone, and I said "listen, Im not some high end client who doesnt lift a finger, but please dont take advantage of me bc im not there to see you bc i work" and she totally understood.
She asked me what they could really focus on for the next time, and I told her: bathroom/kitchen and hardwood floors. I am OCD about my floors haha. Needless to say, next time she got her, she texted me while I was at work just to check in and let me know she was here, and when I came home that day, SPOTLESS. :) Awesome job. I think that first time was the 1 week fluke period when they had that shotty employee...
BUT- here are some tips:
*2 White crew is a small business- I feel safe giving my keys to my apt to them
*They can text you on the spot if you have a quick question while they are there
*they speak ENGLISH (i know, that sounds bad, but trust me, Access Maids was such a pain in the *** because they didnt even know what I was saying)
*Flat rates are good, because hourly ppl rip you off anyway
*I just get a good vipe about these people. The fact that they refunded that one person her money says alot. Access Maids didnt even clean my kitchen table and said "sorry we will come wipe the table but no refund" and I think that is the dumbest thing ever. It is going to cost them MORE money to come haul ass over to my apt than it would if they mailed a check for half the price I paid...
In summary: Give them a try, you really don't have to lose much. They are one of the cheapest in the city... (I hope this review doesn't make them jack up prices because they have so many new customers lol) -

After speaking with Katie, I was so excited to have found a reliable and wonderful cleaning duo!!! They are honest, trustworthy and just easy going. I called for an appointment, they called me right back to schedule with me. They did an awesome job, very reasonable and super cool to work with. I came home to a fantastic smelling, clean condo!
Would definately recommend them. -

Kenny and Kate turned my filthy condo into a sparkly clean palace! What an amazing duo - completely reliable, on time, outstanding attention to detail (even the previously-crusty coffee maker is now spotless, thank-you-very-much), and just all around great people.
Highly recommend these guys. Hire them now, and prepare to be dazzled. -

Disaster - left me in the lurch! I hired them weeks in advance to do a move out cleaning for my condo in Hyde Park. I sent them the keys, they came - and did nothing. Left a note saying "I didn't come prepared for such a large task by myself" and just left. No phone call, no email, and now I'm stuck with angry tenants who cant move in. When I call I get voicemail, when I email it says they are on vacation. Absolutely the worst.

Katie & Kenny are the best! I have recommended them to other friends as well. They are friendly, reliable and do a great job. Plus the name of their business is a win & a half if you ask me. I absolutely trust them to work in my home when I'm not there & they don't make me feel creepy/weird/like a hovercraft if I am home while they're working. The only slight negative is that because they do such an good job & the word is out on these two, it can be tough to book an appointment at times. Love these guys - I would be sad if they moved/went out of business/did something else bc I am so glad I found an awesome cleaning crew on my first try.

These guys are great! I was a cleaning service virgin until last night. Katie and Kenny came over and cleaned my horribly dirty apartment. It had been probably 6 months since I'd last dusted, swept or mopped and I just couldn't bring myself to do it so I called up Katie and Kenny and they came over and did it for me. They did a much better job than I ever have and I live there! They were extremely thorough, which I love. It was so easy scheduling an appointment with them, which I can't say for the other places I contacted. They brought everything they needed, were on time and were done in two hours. My place smelled and looked great! It's so nice not seeing all the dust balls floating around.
Katie and Kenny are a great value and very cool as well! I will definitely be contacting them again as I've decided I won't be dusting, sweeping or mopping ever again. I hate it that much!
If you're in the market for a cleaning service, give these two a call. You won't regret it! I'm thrilled I've found them. -

This husband/wife duo is phenomenal. They responded to a Craigslist ad I had posted looking for someone to clean my apartment within the small budget I had at the time. They agreed to do it for what I could afford and worked around my insane work schedule, even when I was going to be two hours late. Instantly after meeting them I trusted them completely and left them alone at my place while I went out for drinks with my roommate. They took care of everything within three hours and when I came back my place was meticulous. Since then I have opened up my own professional organization business and listed them under the "Partnerships" section of my site because they are so fantastic and I want to spread the word about them. Great people, great service, great cleaning.

Katie and Kenny did an awesome job on my fairly filthy apartment. Some things stood out compared to other cleaning services I have used.
1) Their attitude and personality is very positive and up-beat. They are owner/operators and they seem to have a real passion for delighting their clients. In my experience with other cleaning services, the cleaners are employees and are rather sullen unfortunately.
2) They are native-English speakers. While I have no problem with working with foreign-born folks, I have had some cleaners come in that could not really speak English, making it difficult to direct.
3) They were punctual - showing up at the appointed time right on the dot.
4) The actual cleaning job was thorough with good attention to detail.
5) They weren't even going to charge me for an add-on service because it was a marginal effort, but I was so happy with the job they did I paid them for it anyway
6) I left my apartment and ran some errands while they took care of things. As requested, Katie phoned me when they were about 20 minutes from finishing.
I highly recommend 2 White Crew! -

Based on other Yelp reviews I contacted 2 White Crew Cleaning. I called the phone number in the listing. The voice mail message says you can leave a message however the fastest way to reach them is to email them. They provide an email address and then tell you they will get back to you as soon as they can. Well, that was 2 days ago. I have not heard a word back. And at this point, i doubt i will. How lucky for them in this day and age they are so busy they can afford not to return calls or emails and can turn away new business. For those of you considering 2 White Crew Cleaning I think you should keep this in mind.

2 White Crew has been cleaning our bar (Millie's Tavern) for a month now. They do an exceptional job! We are pleased with the quality of their work and their honesty. I would highly recommend Katie and Kenny to any business or home seeking a reliable, honest, top notch cleaning crew!

Ugh, I hate to do this but I have to tell the truth and make others beware of the type of service they could expect from 2 White Crew Cleaning. So ONE STAR it is! I had very high expectations after reading all the glowing reviews. I have been pondering which cleaning service to get for a while and this one seem like it could have worked out best. Let me explain:
I give one star for Katie, I called one afternoon and she was very gracious to call me later that evening and to schedule a day for the cleaning. She had a great personality on the phone and I was sure that this would go well. She told me that someone called Cheryl/Sherrie (cant remember) would come by at 8am to start the cleaning job. My place is not that big, all that needed cleaning was the bathroom (2), 1 bedroom, living room and kitchen. I dont think this should take the whole 3hours she recommended but for $80, I said why not, I'm sure they would do an excellent job. how wrong I was :-(
So the cleaning day comes and Cherly/Sherrie calls around 7.30 and says she will be there at 8am. I was excited, awesome, she will be here soon, as I get ready for work. I like to step out of my house between 7.45 and 8.05am but no later than that, so I figured if she is here are precisely 8am, no biggie. Anyhoo, 8am rolls around and this lady is not here, 8.05, 8.10, 8.15, no show. I proceed to call the number she called me from and a man picks up the phone, I am guess its her husband/boyfriend and he said she left her house long ago and should be there. This is starting to get on my nerves because I have missed my bus and I have to get to work. Anyway. 8.25am comes and I hear someone ringing our door bell very fast 6 times, my husband answers and buzzes her in. It turns out that she rang all my neighbor's door bells because I can hear the dog in the first floor barking and the neighbor on top of me and the one below asked me later that week if the person frantically ringing the doorbell was for me. How rude! Anyway, we did let her in right away so I dont know why she had to ring everyone's doorbells (Condo apartment with 4 neighbors).
Anyway, she comes up the stairs and I courteously tell her that I am late and I have to rush to work, my husband will be in the house while you clean but let me walk you through what I would like done. I asked her why she was late and she said " Oh you know, traffic". What? Imagine the nerve! I believe that everyone should factor in traffic whenever they are going somewhere, especially if it is for a client and to a new place. At least get there 30 minutes before, this has already rubbed me the wrong way but I was leaning towards forgetting about the lateness. Anyway, I show her all the spaces and pointed out the areas that need more cleaning than others and I was hoping that I would get home to a gleaming bright house. Meanwhile my husband works from home and was there during the cleaning, he calls me about 1.5 hours into her cleaning and says she was still washing the 1st bathroom, I was a little worried about this because if it takes that long, how will all the other parts of the apartment get cleaned?
Anyway, my husband, who knows next to nothing about cleaning calls me and said she is done, she just left and the floors look horrible. She used water and some kind of soap to clean our hardwood floor and now they have water marks all over, This means her cleaner was definitely not working and she used too much water. I assumed that my husband was exagerrating but when I got home, lo and behold, there are water marks everywhere, anyone who owns dark hardwood floors will know that this is ugly and unsightly, eww! the mop must have been really dirty too. I started to get mad. I am not a neat freak but when I clean my house, I can do a waaaay better job, maybe you should hire me instead, 2 White Crew. So here is a list of all the things that were soooo wrong with this service:
- Arriving 25 minutes late with no apology (FAIL!)
-Ringing all neighbors doorbells 10 times over, early in the morning! (FAIL)
- Mopping hardwood floors and leaving water marks all over the house (FAIL!)
- I called Katie and left a message for her to call me back, 1 week later and no response (FAIL)
-Washing the shower but not washing the Jacuzzi tub, there was still dust everywhere (FAIL!)
- Not cleanning the kitchen stove, I wipped the cooking stains off when I got home (FAIL!)
Overall, I am very dissapointed, maybe if Katie came herself to do the job, it would have been a better experience but that Cheryl/Sherrie did a terrible job, I am not pleased, I want my $80 back! So if you call and they recommend Cherly/Sherrie to come clean your place, please say NO, the job was not done, PERIOD.
My advice to 2 White Crew, perharps you need to train Cherly better, tell her not to be late to your new clients and old ones and also, call your clients back when they leave you a voicemail, not only when they call for an appt. All the best!Comment from Kenny F. of 2 White Crew Cleaning 2/8/2011

Katie and Kenny are phenomenal at their job (and they're pretty cool kids, too)! They're the most reasonably priced cleaners I've found and well worth even more than they're charging. If you need a cleaner, you'd be ill advised not to reach out to them.

I had never hired a cleaning service before, but with my wedding quickly approaching I realized I was running out of time and couldn't clean up myself. My bridal party was getting ready at my home the day of the wedding, and then my whole family was coming over the next day for brunch so I was desperate to get everything done. Kenny and Katie pulled through in such an unbelievable way, it was amazing. When I walked into my house with my husband after our wedding reception, I nearly cried with happiness at the state of affairs. The place was absolutely spotless! Kenny and Katie basically tied up our wedding weekend with a pretty little bow and handed it to us on a silver platter. I couldn't have been more thrilled...it was totally worth the very reasonable cost!!

Kenny and Katie were able to come over right at the last minute when my life got out of control and I had a guest coming to stay over the weekend. They were early (five minutes...so perfect), responsive, polite, professional, and basically really kind about the fact that my apartment was a mess. They were able to take care of laundry, the dishes, and the tidying up....as well as doing a thorough cleaning of my apartment. Lifesavers? Yes. Highly recommend. Their rates were reasonable...80 dollars for both of them over 3 hours. I kept on wanting to give them more money to compensate for the state of my apartment, but they said no. Very professional+awesome.

I have never hired a cleaning service before, but I would definetely recommend 2 White Crew. They did an AMAZING job! They even stayed longer than they originally thought it might take to make sure every sq inch was cleaned. Can't speak highly enough, and your home or apt will never look better!!! Thanks!
