2 Stix is a newish sushi restaurant in Pensacola. I had the chance to try it out today, and I was not disappointed!

We went for sushi only, so I can't comment on the actual menu items or the hibachi.

As far as the sushi goes, they have some VERY original items that you won't find anywhere else in Pensacola. The most unique item I saw was the Green Roll - tempura broccoli wrapped in rice.

I ordered the Mango Roll and the Orleans Roll - both were delicious!

I would highly recommend 2 Stix for sushi in Pensacola!

My husband and I visited this restaurant tonight and loved it so much that I wanted to write a nice review!  The first thing that I noticed was that they have a lot of different cuisines represented on their menu, including chinese, japanese, thai, and filipino.  They also have some very unique sushi options... well worth checking out (the sushi I tried was some of the best I have ever had... the chicken tempura roll.  It was HUGE!)  My husband had beef orange peel, and I had pancit as well.  We also noticed that they serve shumai, which I have not seen anywhere else in Pensacola.
The place had a very nice ambiance, and our server was very polite and friendly.  The only bad thing was that they had very little business!  So next time skip the buffet, and check this place out!  I think you will be pleasantly surprised.  :)

I really wouldn't recommend this place as my experience wasn't the greatest.

I read the reviews for this place before coming and thought it would be a nice change of pace before leaving Pensacola.  I called ahead for reservations for me and my 2 other buddies that were with me.

When we got there it was not busy at all (a little odd for a Friday evening)  we were seated at the Hibachi table and given menus.  I order a caterpillar roll while we waited for the chef to come and cook our food.

I personally had the Lobster and  steak.  My roll came and i was pleasantly surprised on taste.  However the Hibachi food was sub par.  It was very salty and the lobster was overcooked and rubbery.  I spent around $70 on my meal with tip.

I would prefer to go to a Benihanas or Shoguns.

Been here twice now and I definitely approve of the food. The sushi is fresh and artfully presented, and highly delicious - oishii!

The restaurant menu features items of Thai, Chinese, and Japanese origin, as well as a hibachi grill, so there really is something for everyone here.

The food is delicious - but once again, the service is just lacking. The waitstaff was pleasant and friendly but just not competent. One server suggested sake, but had no clue about the types available, their characteristics or their prices. I love sake and she offered it, but maybe she should have had a cheat sheet or something to aid her knowledge/memory.  The servers are not terribly aware of Japanese cuisine, pronunciation or of the characteristics of the menu items.

They probably just lack experience, and as they continue on they may develop the skills to smoothly coordinate and serve meals, so half the table isn't eating while the other half is just waiting.  I

'm sure as word gets out about this restaurant their competence and awareness of the menu items will also increase.

I will probably come here again, and as an experienced sushi, Asian cuisine diner, I recommend it.

Very good new sushi/hibachi place in Pensacola.   Classy new building and upscale decor add a great option to the Pcola dining scene.

We tried some sushi and hibachi grill & the food was very good.  Chilled mugs with the beer made for a nice touch.  Didn't have any trouble with the service as the previous review mentioned.  However we did get there early and made a pretty standard order.

The hibachi area is quite small, only 4 tables so call ahead if you plan on arriving between 7 and 9 on the weekend.

Good Food, Horribly S L O W Service...Place a pick up order over the phone and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes.  I showed up in 20 min to a practically empty restaurant.  When I explained to the host that I was there to for my pick up order he told me that it would be another 10 minute wait.  Then he went to the waiter who took my order over the phone, who then appeared to type in my order.  I waited another 20 minutes for to receive my meal.  What's the point of calling ahead if you're not going to begin processing the order until I show up?

Wasnt sure what to expect,  was happily surprised.. we got their 2 for $29.95 meal where you get to pick and choose your 2 soups, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 1 dessert.. it was A LOT OF FOOD, for two people... we started out with egg drop soup, which was one of the best I ever had, next we shared our california roll appetizers, I couldve eaten all 8 of them myself,(and I wouldve had I not been on a friggin date!)  2 entree choices, my friend got some kinda chicken dish, spicy chicken I think, he scarfed that plate down, I had the beef broccoli, the portions are HUGE, definately doggie bag sizes, then we shared dessert, we picked cheesecake,.. I usually hate desserts at Sushi places, but this cheesecake was good.. ooooh I forgot the best part, my strawberry daiquiri!!!  I will be back to try more of their sushi rolls for sure..very romantic, sure fire way for fella's to get to maybe 1st base.

Food was good but took 10 to 15 minutes to get a draft beer on a dead Monday night. Also my friend had there kid with them and there is a 7 dollar fee for a kid to have some of your food. They do get there own salad and soup but when a kid doesn't really eat much at all this seemed a bit over the top. Also this is the first hibatic place where I didn't bring food home. Portions were little. Got chicken and steak meal and only 5 or 6 pieces of each were given. Think this places needs improvement. Frosty mugs on the other hand was nice. And food was good but nothing to really rave over

I have a mixed review about this place. My friend that I went with had always raved about how great the sushi and service were. When we went, the hibachi table area seemed really crowded but there were only two other tables in the restaurant. We were walked around the restaurant a bit and had to turn around while the server searched for a clean table. It took us a long time to get a server. Once we did, it took a slight eternity to get our drinks. My friend had questions about the menu but our server was too new to answer any of them. We waited almost an hour from the time we order til we got our dinner. I've worked in the industry for almost ten years and from what I gathered, our server was a trainee and the only two servers working were working the large hibachi party. He was obviously nervous but I didn't think it was his fault. We will be back because they good was great. It was just an uncomfortable experience service-wise.
