This place has been an excellent source of untreated spring water for decades. Kudos to Alderwood Water District for keeping it in good shape and testing it monthly! The spring is on 164th Street SW about half a mile west of I-5.

There is always a line, people of diverse backgrounds, and parking gets tight. The water is always cold, flows at about 10 gallons/minute, and never stops. The cover is nice on wet days. Mmmm. Enjoy!

Odd. Random. Bizarro (yes, from Sealab). I drove by this place many times and was like, what the? are all those people lined up for? Then I took a rain barrel class and someone brought it up - it's an Artesian well. In the suburbs. Which I guess it's not like Artesian wells say, hey it's a suburb, we'll move. It's just funny to see all sorts of people line up with all sorts of water jugs. You expect it to be some sacred everlasting fountain of youth - I tried it, I still look 41, but my thirst is quenched and my mantle is clean and purified.

This is mecca for many in the South Everett, Lynnwood area. Fresh, clean water flows from a pipe at a small shelter at this location. There is a small parking lot, night time lighting, and often a line to get water. Often if one only has a quart water bottle, you may be allowed to go ahead. Commonly, a user may have several 5 gallon water bottles when visiting here.

The address provided is for the Alderwood Water District, the well, is on 164 St SW west of I-5, at the bottom of the hill. You will see a small parking area with the pole building pictured.

The water is clear and cold, flowing from the pipe at approximately 10 gallons per minute. The water is free for the taking, and is monitored by the Alderwood Water District.

Following the link provided will take you to the water district website with information about the well.

Drink Deeply!
