Cool kids clothes, but the fifth star is awarded for superior customer service.
We bought some nike mary janes for our twin girls and in two weeks the strap broke. They immediately told us they would take it for repairs and cover the cost for us.
When we came to pick them up, we were told that the shoe hospital called the shoe "unfixable." So Peg took the shoe home and sewed it herself!
Good as new! -

I tell all my clients, who are parents, and well, those who have kids they like to spoil, to go here! I go because I am small and can fit into a lot of the clothes, but I also shop there because of the customer service. You won't get overlooked, ignored, or taken advantage of. The prices are competitive, but not too expensive, the selection is amazing (I am a trainer and I find the exact selections I would at any other adult fitness store), and they have a talent in fitting you in the RIGHT shoe. Not many stores do that.
Take it from me and walk in, you will see. -

I've shopped at 1379 several times, both for my kids and for myself (They recently started carrying clothes & shoes for adults).
This is a nice, local, family-owned business in the Tarrytown neighborhood, just across from Casis Elementary. They have a great selection of cool sport clothes, and the staff are very knowledgeable about their products. I found some fun, unique sport T's for my son, and I recently special-ordered some Addidas Sambas for myself. The owner called me herself when my order came in. I like to shop local whenever I can, and 1379 makes that easy and fun. -

This is a local family owned business. Customer service was about as good as it gets--the owner took a great deal of time sizing soccer shoes for my daughter. The owner was attentive and had a wonderful demeanor with kids. Too, they had quality and fun merchandise. The only downside was that it was packed with rowdy kids who hit several people with errant miniature basketballs. If you want top quality and service, this is the place to go.

Not the world's super-friendliest employees but they are knowledgeable and got my son fitted into just the right shoe.

UPDATE: The store owner called me to apologize for our issues today. I'm raising my rating based on her obvious concern. I am still not very happy with how her employees handled things, or with the snotty attitude I got from them.
ORIGINAL POST:
My wife went to 1379 to buy tri shorts for my son. They were out of stock on his size in the Zoot shorts and said they would call when they got some in. The showed my wife some Tyr lycra swim shorts (without padding) and she asked if they had polyester shorts and was told Tyr doesn't make those. A quick check on the website shows that they do.
When they called back and my wife went there, they didn't have the Zoot shorts in and instead had Kucharik bike shorts. They claimed they were tri shorts, but the Kucharik website says they have a Terry pad and doesn't mention anything about swimming in them. They never apologized about the mix-up and had a bad attitude about the whole thing.
In the future I'll order online.
