ive been here twice, once for the stones throw 4/20 event and recently for low end theory 5/4. both times i had different experiences.
the first event was great since it wasnt so packed. i could navigate to bathrooms easy, get a drink easy, even pass by a few cuties on the way.
    however
on the second event i went to, this place was so packed i couldnt even move. at one point i was literally frozen being smooshed together by strangers (mostly guys eww).
the music was great tho, on point. there was just way to many damn people in that 1 room....

oh yea drinks are pricey, so if ur planning to drink there, at least bring $60 for 2-3 drinks and some water afterwards.

will i come back? maybe. depends whos DJing/performing that night .

This venue is a waste of time if you want to enjoy the headliner.  The main room is too small for the amount of tickets they sell.  Everyone crowds into that room and you end up uncomfortably sandwiched between a bunch of strangers for the duration of the show.

It wouldn't be so bad if they spent more money/time on decorations, but the fact that they just throw up a projector screen and expect you to zone out watching a visualizer makes me think I might as well be watching tv.

This place is falling apart and has no soul.  It's name is the address, that should really tell you something about the creativity of the people running it.

I give this place 4.5 for sure (I am one of those annoying yelpers going against the grain thinking half reviews can be issued)

I have been here for numerous times..
I came for a drum and bass show, and another time some random party thing where they were giving out free drinks and playing funky music like Chromeo and stuff...it was a blast !!!!

I dont know why people hate on it so much? Its a bigger SF Venue.. I want to say the inside has been slightly revamped or remodeled. I like it and the crowd is always cool to ...

Came here for the ADTECH after parties with my friend. By the time we got there, around 12am, it seemed deserted, which was weird. Until we discovered that everyone and their brother was in the main floor, which you have to find. (it's a maze of different rooms and there's an upstairs as well).

The line to get in was short and we had VIP passes (of course, who didn't?) Quick check of the id and in we went. The first room was deserted, like I said, so we headed upstairs. There we again found a deserted room, however, we did find stripper poles, which we indulged ourselves in. (It's fun to dance on them when no one's watching).

We then decided to follow the music back downstairs and through another door to find the main short where Too Short was on. The entire room was filled with bodies. There wasn't even any room to get in. So we watched for a little bit from the side, near the bouncer guy.

The seats and bathrooms are older. In need of some upgrades for sure. It just felt creepy and there was trash all over the place. In summary, I probably would not return. There are better places to spend the evening dancing and having a good time. Sorry 1015, you need a lot of TLC.

One of my favorite places to go. I like dubstep. I like dancing. I like weirdos.

Something else I enjoy is not talking to people. The music is crazy loud and the crowd is eclectic. Lots of lights. Lots of people. Different rooms. Super fun if you are into the rave type of scene.

There is a cover, which is fine, and there are no ins-and-outs, which is annoying sometimes, but deal with it.

If you like to party and are tired of the douchey Marina scene, come play.

We read how they describe this place online it sounded amazing.  Especially when you hear/read the words UPSCALE, this place is FAR from upscale. They charge $20 to get in just to get warm beers, NO AC, horrible service it's NOT worth it.

I would not recommend this place at all there's way better places to go in the city. Yes the venue is big but doesn't mean it's the place to spend your Friday/Saturday Nights.

PURA on Saturday nights, If you are looking for reggeton, salsa, merengue, bachata..... you wanna dance the night away to Latin beats.....this is it! I danced all night long and had a blast!

One downfall, cash only for drinks. Sucks cause who wants to worry about carrying cash.

PURA ROCKS! 4 floors all with great dj's you can't decide what floor to start on ;)

My co-workers and I stopped by for a networking event during the Ad Tech convention. The venue was just ok.  I thought that it would be nicer sine there was going to be live performances by some hip hop artists.  The DJ was playing some good tunes and the bartenders were attentive. Might be a fun spot to check out on the weekends.

Came here to watch "Passion Pit (DJ set)", which apparently means one guy from Passion Pit DJing for 1.5 hours.  Whatever, I'm down. Tickets were only $10.

Got there through the pouring rain on the only day in two months that it's rained really hard, and was extremely thankful for my giant umbrella, because the line to get in the door was around the corner.  Once inside, though, that gratitude all but disappeared, because the coat-check line ($3/item no exceptions) was longer than the line at Bi-Rite on a summer day, and there's no way I am going to be able to dance with an umbrella that can safely cover a whole family in a storm.

There are, by my count, at least 4 different rooms with decent to big dance floors.  On this particular day only three were open, but that's still plenty of space for you to bump&grind/move&groove/whatever.  It definitely feels like a *~*~MEGACLUB~*~*.  Each room also has its own bar, so it's not an issue getting your waste on.  This is definitely a place where people come to dance, though, and if you're down to get down, you'll have a good time.

Also, be prepared to bump into everyone you forgot you even knew in SF.

Went here to see the Passion Pit DJ set. The only real reason I had a good time was because the DJs were great. My experience overall was meh.

First of all, it's important to note that doors did not open until 10:15 or so. On the website it says specifically to arrive early to avoid lines. And I like arriving early myself, and I don't terribly mind waiting in line for something cool. EXCEPT when it's monsooning outside. Seriously, it was raining sideways that night, so I arrived soaked already. Then I was forced to wait outside an extra 30 minutes for...well, I don't know what, since no one told us anything. Oh, wait, they did yell at us to move out from under the tents so that we could clear the sidewalk, which of course no one wanted to do because, as I said, it was monsooning. So other than barking orders, they told us nothing. The tents for us were packed full of people trying not to get wet, and one of them failed underneath the weight of the water and got a couple of people drenched.

So the night started out sort of crappy. But once we finally were allowed inside, it was pretty cool. Roomy bathrooms, spacious areas to dance, 3 floors, great sound, and some tasty drinks. Cash only bar, by the way.

The coat check was a serious issue to me. There was only one woman working, and you had to line up to go downstairs, drop off your coat, and then make your way against everyone to go back up the stairs. I waited in that line for a good 20 to 30 minutes, only to discover that I had to check my fleece and my windbreaker separately.

Seriously? On a night when no one in their right mind will be heading out the door without something to protect them from the elements, you're going to charge me $3 extra for my lightweight waterproof windbreaker? It just irritated me so much--I already paid for a ticket, I'm paying for drinks, and you'll be making bank that evening either way, since EVERYONE had something check. Out of frustration, I opted to just set my stuff on a large speaker by one of the dj booths, and it was fine. Also, I left before the night officially ended, but I can only imagine how slow and painful waiting in that coat check line at the end of the night was. Woof.

Overall, it's a cool spot, although I definitely don't appreciate all the attitude from the people working it.

My friend and I wanted to see Passion Pit, but instead of the full band a single member did a DJ set. Music still awesome, but i was a bit disappointed.

The venue itself had several floors. The main floor had a disco ball and the full fog and light fx. Upper level, over looking the main floor, has a smaller lounge complete with stripper poles. Adjacent to the main floor was a smaller floor with a artsy lit ceiling. and All rooms contained bars and dj's. Drinks are expensive. Perhaps for the event.

Thanks to the staff for putting up the tents to keep us dry while waiting in line outside! In the RAIN. The pouring rain and the cold gusts of wind before hand were not so pleasant.  I'm sure i speak for everyone who was in line, we appreciated that.

The venue itself is great - in terms of the space/design (multiple rooms with decent sound, the main room is fantastic, the really cool restrooms downstairs, multiple bars, multiple restrooms).   While a lot of the shows booked are not to my taste, I think they do a good job bringing talent of a specific type to the city.

However, it is ruined by incredibly awful staff and incredibly awful clientele.  The main room gets crazy packed, and unfortunately most people don't dance, they just stand there talking to their friends or playing on their phones. Pretty lame.  The staff is rude, unhelpful.  The exception is that the secondary bars upstairs usually have pretty laid back bartenders.  The bar when you first come in the Folsom street entrance is the worst.  Really weak drinks.

Some other reviewers have remarked that this place is "ghetto."  Gotta agree.  This is the only place in SF where I've seen people get assaulted in a club.  The bouncer seemed to make the situation worse rather than defusing the argument.  Some of my hotter/younger female friends have a terrible time here with really predatory guys who keep dancing up on them and grabbing them even after being told to stop.  The last time I went here, we're pretty sure someone "roofied" my friend's drink here (which unfortunately I shared with her -- fortunately we were with friends who got us home safely).  The same thing has happened to a few of my other friends here over the years.  I don't really feel safe going here alone anymore.   I go out several times a week, often by myself, so it's not a matter of me unreasonable expectations of what clubs should be like.  This place is just one of the worst that SF has to offer.

Well thats it what else can i say? I love that it has lots of bathrooms so i don't have to be waiting forever to use it and that way i can enjoy my night more.

Lot of spoiled people giving this 1-2 stars cause of one bad night... so 5 to balance them, they're mostly wrong.  Really big places like this are rare, so it has to be valued for what it is--a venerable SF institution with some of the very best sound systems in the city, often hosting some of the top DJs in the world.

1015 is  a 3-layer cake of stacked clubs, each often playing different styles, an advantage when one room is temporarily boring or overcrowded.  It's expensive, so take your 50 and kiss it goodbye if you'll be imbibing.  Jet-engine style ventilation blasts keep the air fresh even when it's packed, which is a real plus even though it tends to rearrange hair styles for all who pass through the jet streams.

We need more big hi-tech places like 1015.  George Lucas should probably found a worldwide chain of giant "Star Dance" nightclubs using all that ILM technology, rotating stacked dance floors, 3D video dome, etc.  Please ObiWan, you're our only hope--build the first one here in the Bay Area.  Frankly, that was my preferred conversion strategy for Hangar One, the big zeppelin hangar in Mt. View.

    http://www.yelp.com/bi...

They've apparently taken the outside paneling off the hangar recently, but perhaps there is still some faint hope for the future of this idea?  George?  Are you listening...?

Club Pura....NEVER AGAIN! If you want to get treated with respect, DO NOT come here!

I attended this venue for the first (AND LAST) time on 10/1/11 for a friends birthday. She had bottle service in a reserved section in the Havana Room, where the security guard refused to accommodate our disabled guest! She was very tired and needed to sit down and  he responded, "There are many other areas around the club where you can sit but you can't sit here." Really!!! Being that we had already paid for the section and we can't sit there??? He turned us all away. I asked him for his manager's first and last  name and he said that he did not know. Who doesn't know who they are working for?

He then asked, "Who's disabled and what's wrong with her?" (Illegal). I answered his questions and still he told her that she had to wait 10 mins. For what, I don't know. The bday girl talked to him and finally he let her sit down. 20 mins later they let the three of us sit in our section. I get up to use the restroom and on my way back he tells me that I have to leave; for no apparent reason whatsoever. I asked him why? Then in a very rude and high tone he says, "YOU NEED TO GET THE F*CK OUT!" Literally in my face. I asked him to get his manager and he got louder and started to say that I was disrespecting him. I was doing no such thing. I asked very nicely for his mangers info and he went into "security power trip mode."

THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED AT ANY VENUE!

For some reason he wanted to exercise the little authority that he had on a female (whom he thought he could over power) who was just trying to enjoy her time for the services paid for.

I did get to speak to his manager FRED ROSALES, who was very apologetic and said that he would take care of it. He offered to take care of me and my guest on a future visit and assured me that that security guard would no longer be there. I let him know that this was my first and last time at this venue no matter what.

Fred Rosales, I really hope that you put your staff through an extensive customer service training so they can learn how to be cordial with the venue public. After all, WE are why they are there in the first place.

So on Saturday Nights, the venue is called PURA...idk why they just don't call it 1015 Folsom. Yet the flyers and promoters call it PURA. Any other night its just called 1015 Folsom.

Music: Latin Beats mixed with Hip Hop flavor.

Cover: $20 unless you sign up on their website you pay $10 just print coupon. Or sign up for the mobile updates if you love this place.

Dance Room to move your culo!
3 different rooms but it gets crowed, my favorite spot is upstairs underneath the vent for air...you can dance and still be fresh!

Drinks: Full bar...lots on ice they water down drinks unless you flirt with the bartenders.

Dress Code: Dress super cute, comfy cute heels, (ladies) don't go in jeans or else you will burn up. I usually go dressed sexy and salsa favor.

I MUST HAVE (MUST HAVE) gone on the wrong night.

I had a few buddies up from L.A. and were down to show how we do it in the Bay.

I was like let's hit up 1015 Folsom (last time we were there it was 3-star fun.)

I walked in and people were in horse masks, zebra masks and cargo shorts. They had lights hanging from their long hair. And some poor girl smelled like she was rotting (ewwwww.)

Next dance floor: More animal masks.

Final room: More "animals" dancing in what looked like a PETA supported Animal-Rights-ritual-reincarnation. I honestly thought a freaking buffalo was gona appear in the middle of the dance floor.

I looked over to my friends and said, "LOL, nope."

We wasted our $20 and headed over to Polk St bars. Much better.

    Moral of the Story:
1.) Know what is poppin at 1015 Folsom and at what night.
2.) Dancing horses are EFFIN scary.

Huge venue, with a hiphop area and a techno/dance area.  When I went a few years ago, I got drunk and decided it would be a good idea to dispose of my empty glass into the crowd.  Turns out I have a horrible throwing arm.  In my drunkenness, I miscalculated the trajectory and I threw it at the girl about three feet in front of me.  It hit her torso and she looked PISSED as she scoured the room for the culprit.

    I pretended to be asleep.

Cool venue. The dance floor is huge and in a separate room from the main bar, giving folks a choice of lower-key vs higher-key areas to hang out.

Other than the space being cool, nothing here really stands out. I'm glad I got in for free because 1015 (smot) isn't worth paying cover.

All of that being said, if you're sufficiently plastered I'm sure you'll enjoy it regardless! (can be said of 99% of clubs/bars worldwide, however)

Usually regret handing over my money when I walk in the door. Drinks are weak and overpriced (I know, NO nightclub in SF charges a fair price and loads you up with booze, but still..),
Having chocolate covered fruit shoved in my mouth by several trashy 3rd floor cocktail waitresses (dancers?) sort of killed my last experience.

No wonder everyone dances here so much- keep moving to avoid the crazies.

Can't say I won't be back though, it's too convenient and an easy fallback on a Saturday night.

If I could give this place a negative rating, I would for the life of me!

I went here last night to see RJD2 & Zion I play and have never been to this venue before. The line was not long (maybe since we came later or they were quick in getting us in?) and the promoter and security were polite!

When I got inside, it was packed like a sardine can in the main room where the artists were performing... no air circulation and sweaty like an indie dance party! Also, the  construction of that place is a clusterfuck!

While I was going to the bathroom (reasonably clean for the environment but only about 3 stalls), my bf went to go get a drink. By the time I got out of the bathroom (at least 15-20 mins), he was still waiting for a drink even though he was DIRECTLY IN FRONT of the bartender.

    *The bitching begins now*
The bartender looked like a COMPLETE EFFIN' LOWLIFE and had the personality to match! When he passed by, I waved to him and said nicely, "Excuse me, when you get a chance." He YELLS at me, "SAVE IT! I DON'T NEED IT!" I asked him, "Excuse me?" He replies something about "PEOPLE LIKE YOU CAN SAVE IT!"

I don't understand what he means by "people like you" either. WHATEVER. Obviously, we did not bother to get a drink anymore.

I HAVE NEVER MET A BARTENDER WHO WAS SO ARROGANT OR REFUSED MONEY. I guess there is a first for everything.

Because the vibe of the whole place was off, even though they had great artists performing, I will NEVER GO BACK to this place even if I was slowly killed by a millimeter razor cut at a time.

Long overdue review, but this place is Epic Fail.

I was here with friends last fall looking to go clubbing. Supposedly, they were supposed to play various types of music in different rooms. However, half the club was closed off for Salsa Night...o_O

The ONLY music they played the entire night was Trance. I didn't mind, but I was expecting MUCH more.

Later on during the night it eventually got packed...with FOBS. There were E-Tards and E-Hoes everywhere...EVERYWHERE!

Water went up in price up to nearly $10 a bottle.

It got to the point where some chick that was rolling so hard snatched my bottle of water out of my hands and drank nearly the entire thing. Then she gave it back, WTF!?!?!? Needless to say it went in the trash.

    I ain't comin back

I was here on a Friday for a dubstep show. I had gotten my tickets in advanced so entrance was no drag. Walked in, and I felt and saw the San Francisco vibe. Me being an LA girl, it was a bit different. Only because shows like this one in Los Angeles are intense and a bit more raw. We're used to socking and pushing each other. Anyway, since we had driven from LA that same night, we didn't have time to pre game. So we immediately went up to the bar. 2 AMF's, $24.00. Pricey, but the drinks were strong.
Venue was nice. 3 dance floors and a few bars.
Size was spacious and steaming HOT. This grossed me out since it smelled SO bad in here. I swear, the smell was so strongggg!!

I don't hate it, but i don't know if i fully love it. I have mixed feelings about this place.

1015 Folsom used to be 5 Stars - used to have awesome DJs on 5 floors - including House, Trance music ...  each floor had it's own theme.. but unfortunately they totally killed it!

I went there with my friend and it turned out to be just one big Latin event - no House, no Trance.. no variety .. just Latin music on all floors .. pretty disappointing to have wasted money on this.

They just destroyed one of the best clubbing experiences in SF :-(

first, this is the place to go in SF if you like dubstep - something about their sound system just makes it perfect for dubstep - even though i think mighty has the best sound system in the city, kraddy didn't sound as good at mighty as he did at 1015.

yes, you're going to have to expect to pay a bit in cover. if you're the type of person who likes to arrive at the club at 11 and stay for an hour or two, then bounce - this may not be your type of place. but if you're the type of person who wants to party well into the night and dance your ass off, you'll like this place and you'll definitely get your money's worth - they rarely close before 4am, and routinely stay open past 5am - when i went to the afterburn, the main room kept going until 5:30, and the other rooms kept going past that.

and while generally anything involving anten-nae is good, the event here that you absolutely cannot miss is low end theory every first friday of the month - but make sure you check the set times before going - unless you're familiar with with the non-resident acts of the night, the residents are the ones you want to see.

another thign to mention here is the rooms - while the main room is where the main talent is act - there are three other spacious rooms if you want to take a break for a bit in a bit more of a lounge-y setting.

there's not much of a pickup scene - it's more just about raw energy here. and yes, this is a very druggy place, but most of the drugged-out people won't bother you if you won't bother them.

also, they always sell advance tickets - if you know you're going, just buy in advance, you'll save money, cash, and the line.

yes, it's cash-only, no in and outs.

if they start enforcing indoor smoking rules, i'l give it 5 stars

    METROWIZE

Came here for the Metrowize hosted bar party. This was my first time going here. The party itself was slamming, Thanks for the free drinks MetroWize, had a great time. It just happens to be my buddy's bday. So a midweek rager was perfect for the occasion. Boy, was we RIPPED

The club itself has 3 floors. Once this place gets packed. It gets hot, no AC. There is lots of dancing space. Didn't have an issue with staff, they knew what they were doing. This place is old, but it still does the job, which is packing in a bunch of people to hear music and dance and get LIT.

    Thanks MetroWize.

    Happy B-day Chingy

Simply FOBulous! Pun intended of course. Ever wonder where all the middle-aged Asians hang out on Fridays? You might find your uncle here. No, but jokes aside, this place is a favorite to many lovers of techno music, and my first impression of 1015 Folsom is positive.

I came here for the first time for the Paul van Dyk concert and I had a good time. And yes, we had to wait in a longer line as a "V.I.P." I guess it means "very ignorant person" for them? I was not too happy, but my girlfriend was quite cool that night and that's what mattered. We later learned that V.I.P. bracelets gave us access to the 2nd floor, which over-looked the pit area. That also gave us an extra bar and pair of restrooms. That came in handy, so I'm not bitter over the wait at all.

Drinks were not too bad, contrary to concerns. Sure, a mixed cocktail was 10 dollars, but beers were 3 dollars. It evens out. Last call was at 1:30am, and we got one after the clock, but a bouncer dude told us to hurry and finish it. We tried the old walk around the club, but brotha man found us and asked us again to drink up. Wow, what a detective. I was the most average guy there: Asian + 30 + male, and he was able to spot me out from a crowd again. Good thing it was just a vodka redbull.

Anyways, a bit lit, We ventured back down to the dance floor and listened to the electronic symphony from PvD. I just started to get back into trance and don't know many of his tracks, but he rocked the house. From what I could tell, he was just a person who knew his craft, and did it exceedingly well. We stayed for the whole set, and left the place at 5am. I was totally wiped out, but it was a night to remember.

Just two last notes: coat check was 6 bucks for 2 jackets, and people do get away with smoking inside, for those that care.

If youre into electronic music and hip hop, Friday events are always amazing! Great bands come to play, everyone is friendly, and the vibe is incredible. Drinks are pricey but you could expect that from a place like this. I have never had a bad night here, and I come here a lot!

Huge venue, awesome sound system, a good amount of super sketchy people.

I came for Low End Theory--a dubstep show.
The place can get pretty damn crowded, especially at the entrance where everyone is smoking.
All beers are $6. I liked how they stocked Lagunitas IPA.
If you need to use the restroom, go upstairs because there won't be a big line.
There's plenty of parking near the building but on dark streets so be cautious of what you leave in your car.

Club is badly run and not like it used to be back in the day. Fights like to start all the time. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Security isn't trained and a bunch of dumb monkeys.

Not a good place to go for an EDM night either, even if they got a big name DJ I'd stay away and go elsewhere.

Paul van Dyk. A pioneer of the genre. A mastermind's signature sound emanates throughout, regardless of set list. I came here for the first time to see the one and only DJ. I also saved about $25 by purchasing pre-sale tickets online a few weeks before. He didn't start spinning until 1 AM, but the place was already booked solid by 12 AM. To my surprise, the crowd wasn't bad, but it was crowded. If that didn't make sense, read it again. Smoke machines, pounding bass, laser beams, drugged up kids, and good old techno music. Vintage Paul van Dyk. And thank you for playing that 2011 refresh of "Children" by Robert Miles. It hit the spot. I wanted more.

+ Paul van Dyk - what else can you say about this legend?
+ Multiple dancefloors on two levels
    + Decent ventilation
    -  Main dancefloor is packed like a can of sardines
    -  I've heard better sound systems

My hair still can't get enough of this place.

1015 Folsom gets a bad rap - but if you make sure to go here for an event that Ant-ten-nae is promoting and behind- you will be truly blown away - by the outstanding capabilities of this space.

1015 Folsom is What's Up - when the right people and promoters are involved. The lighting and sound in this place - was made for innovative -ground-breaking DJs; and the space has just enough of a grunge feel - to remain real. Earthy.

1015 Folsom isn't swank, but it was built for profound partying. Late night - raw Dubstep parties - that will eventually lead to inedible pancakes at the Lucky Penny at 5 in the morning.

I will always have love for this place. It's not perfect - but it's treated me well. I can't really recommend any of their other nights (in fact many of their other nights - I've heard can be pretty off) - but trust me - whole-heartedly - that if you see Ant-ten-nae on the bill here - get your tickets ASAP and get ready for an epic night. Get ready for music and energy that makes me beyond proud to call San Francisco home.

    Trust.

Oh my...this place is ghetto. It is quite large (three rooms I think?) with each room playing different music i.e. house, hip-hop, etc. DJ's were pretty good and each room had a good sound system. However, this is the extent of what is cool about this place in my opinion. From afar, the decor of the club looks okay...lots of flashy lights and such...but upon closer inspection it's actually kinda dirty and janky.

The crowd this place attracted on the night I went was a hodgepodge of creepers. There was one large group of oldish Chinese men (I'd say in their mid 40's-50's) with protruding bellies and shades. Shades at night...seriously? All this shouts is "Douche!" to me. Some of them were also attempting to break dance, and they kinda failed. But, I guess their awkward attempts did provide some mild entertainment for the night. Drinks were nothing special and were the typical prices you'd expect at any venue. I think cover is typically $20, but I wouldn't even pay $5 to go here.

The area the club is situated in is sketchy too. I parked on Folsom and while I was heading back to my car to go home some man w/a crowbar was walking down the street peering into every car. He was actually peeking into my car when I was only a few feet away. Thankfully, he saw nothing worthwhile and moved on. Needless to say, I haven't been back and probably never will be!

I went here for a private party following Dreamforce, so the cover was free and there was an open bar! I had always wanted to check this place out, so this was kinda perfect, minus the fact that I had to leave to catch the last BART. I imagine my opinion would change on upon clubbing here on a normal night with long lines, cover charges and pricey drinks.

However, I absolutely loved all the rooms, the ceilings and the lighting. The basement room with the color changing ceiling was my favorite! The venue seems quite spacious and there are plenty of places, rooms, nooks, and platforms to dance, and even enough places to sit and chill out. The VIP area was whack though. From the outside of the building, we went up this dark staircase, and at the top of the flight, there was a broken wall with pieces of wood and plaster everywhere. They tried covering it with a tarp. The VIP area was cramped, crowded and dark. It didn't look decorated at all, nor did it have the ambiance of everywhere else in the club. I imagine there's another VIP area for normal nights, but I don't know what they were trying to pull for this party.

I'd like to come here again!

Worst club EVER! The place is ghetto, the people that go there are ghetto AND the bouncers that work there ghetto AND PERVERTED(especially the people that work there Saturdays)! I don't understand how they allow such low life's watching after the crowd. I did not feel comfortable at all near those losers. I will never go back.

Its ok, I dont need swank when I am out particularly for music. They do get good acts there. but.... But packing it so stupidly full that noone can dance as we are all each others pockets so lets just get trashed and stupid instead means it dies a sad pathetic avoidable death. I just cannot believe I had to leave during an act I have waited so long to see. Even the sound was craptastic.  I am sad for the artists.

Sorry but I could wait another year or so to hear somewhere else and  just not go and avoid the disappointment..

CLUB PURA!!! I celebrated my 25th birthday here on Saturday and it was a lot of fun! We were a group of 12, had bottle service in the Cielo room and enjoyed ourselves the entire night.

I visited this place the weekend before to check it out, and there were a lot of "grenades" but the music is what drew me in! They have 4 rooms with a great variety of music, DJ Frisko Eddy is there every weekend ((my favorite)) so he mixes up hiphop/Top 40's music with a Latin vibe in the main room. The location seemed very sketchy so I was a little nervous about leaving my car out there. Luckily we would be arriving in a limo for the day of my event.

Booking the bottle service was easy, George the VIP host, referred me over to Tanya, our waitress to book the bottles and she answered all of my many questions in a pleasant manner.

On the night of my event, the music was again GREAT, service was fast and our waitress, Tanya was very helpful. The only disappointment was that we had plastic cups for our drinks. The place itself looks really cool but it was a tad bit worn down. From the outside, it looks like a hole in the wall, but the inside is pretty awesome!

I definitely recommend PURA for it's fantastic music & as long as you are with a fun group you are sure to have a great night.
