1012 Coffee Bar is EXCELLENT!
The Coffee bar is in the theater and arts district in Port Townsend away from the tourist areas. Found it by cruising the town on my motorcycle. First I stopped to ask the locals out front some questions about the town. I went two blocks and turned around to go back.
The proprietress, Suzy, hails from New Jersey and is a wonderful woman. She promised me an espresso better than my Mother could make. I mentioned I like cinnamon in my espresso, and she asked if I wanted her to put it into the ground coffee in the press, which is the absolute best way to do it BTW. It was indeed the best espresso I could ever have imagined. I stayed there for around three hours meeting the coolest local people.
Suzy and 1012 Coffee Bar are not to be missed in Port Townsend -

It's like a caffeinated version of Cheers:
Susie, the aproned owner, calls to you from across the room. A curious, kind, and gregarious woman, she probably knows your name if you've been in before. Stay and get to know some of the locals! Susie's sweet husband is often there, coming in during breaks from work.
It's the kind of world you want to believe in, and it's really there - at 1012 Lawrence St.
The espresso rocks. Drip is cheap and good. Chais, herbal teas, and hot scones from the oven! See ya there! -

I love this tiny "hole-in-the-wall" coffee bar in Port Townsend. They serve Cafe Vivace (from Seattle's "coffee guru") and my latte is creamy and delish everytime. Interesting local art on the walls too.

Truly the best coffee in town, selected after a year of sampling, always good quality! Espresso and brewed coffee always made with personal care! -- the ONLY reliable capuchino in town! The espresso machine is custom built, the copper wrapped bar designed/built by the owners, and a home baked healthy but sweetly yummy goodie baked fresh daily. All organic coffee & milk! A place with a heart, and a heartfelt welcome from Susie!
Affordable drip, art on the walls, newspaper & magazines on hand, instant friends to chat with, and a sofa if you need to lie down!
