Review from Brian W.
Raleigh, NC
Raleigh's only really urban-chic style cafe. 101 Lounge is totally swanky, but I still feel comfortable hanging out with my laptop for a while. Downstairs feels just a little like the spaceship airlock, or maybe a cell-phone store with all it's shiny-ness, but upstairs is much more relaxed and comfy.
Beer prices are about usual for downtown (read: a little on the pricey side), but they have regular specials that eliminate that problem.
The view is great from the upstairs tables. During First Fridays it's a cool place to sit and watch all the folks heading back and forth between City Market and Lump. -

Manhattan, NY
101 Lounge is a relatively new lounge opened by a few local lawyers. The crowd tends to be professional, with lots of people going to grab a drink or some food after work. When I went, there weren't a lot of people there, but I still enjoyed myself. I just got an order of fries and a beer, both average prices for the Raleigh area. I'd recommend checking out this place, and help bring in some more business and probably make it more fun.
