Have had drinks several times at "101", which adjoins Big River, where we usually eat. It is a nice bar, the decor is chic, with waterfalls behind the bar and modern furnishings. There are big screen TV's around to keep up on happenings in sports and news. The drinks are very good, but not necessarily inexpensive. Have never had any issues with the service.

I like this place...it gets the 4th star for the nice atmosphere and the beer glass chiller that wraps around the bar. Nice drinks, same menu as Big River next door, but less stuffy. More of a tapas and drinks kind of crowd here.

Never had worse service than the 2 times I went here. The drinks had no alcohol in them and were served with the check, as if we didn't deserve a second round. This happened twice to me. Once, the bar was crowded, but the second time, it was empty. Even in an empty bar, we had to beg for service.
Both times, we were dressed in normal Corvallis attire (fleece...) and were absolutely well-mannered. They servers were just absent-minded and even rude. -

I was completely unimpressed with this place after several trips.
I really like the look of the restaurant inside. It is cozy and not too loud. The seating is fairly comfortable. This place is great for 1-4 but if you are with any kind of group it really doesn't have a way for the group to sit together.
The staff is friendly and nice but slow and inattentive.
The food is really hit or miss but mostly miss. It is the only place I have been in my entire life that can make a gross macaroni and cheese. The food menu is trying too hard to be hip and forgot to be tasty.
The drinks were above average in taste.
Overall I would rather go somewhere else but if my friends are going I go along for the ride. -

Awful service, so-so food. There wasn't anyone but us in the restaurant. We waited 45 minutes for our food before getting fed up and walking out. Waiters drag your orders so you buy more drinks and increase their tips. Don't support this trashy business. You won't have much difficulty finding a better place to eat in Corvallis.

I came here with some friends for drinks and dinner after getting the cold shoulder from Big City next door. The crowd was pretty subdued on a Friday night, which might have had something to do with the Olympic Women's Curling on the giant TVs on the walls. 101 has a modest selection of beers on tap, a really interesting frozen strip built into the bar that you rest your glasses on, and a menu of some fancy versions of normal sports bar food. This doesn't seem like a place college students hang out, it's more targeted toward the hip 20-30s crowd where you don't have to shout to be heard by others at your table.
Some of the dishes seemed a little pretentious, like the caesar "salad" (which was a romaine heart drizzled with caesar dressing waiting for you to cut it up), but they were pretty tasty. The burger was good and my friends enjoyed the pork sandwich. All in all, 101 is a nice place to meet up with friends over a few drinks and decent food. -

101 has great food and drinks. Their fries are fantastic. Groups of us have gone in, and almost always had great luck with our orders. They used to have the best banana split ever made, since the creation of the banana, but they took it off their menu. Why? I don't know.
They need to stay open late. Big River can close early, because they are a restaurant, but 101 needs bar hours. -

I am head over heels in love with this place, though the bartender may not feel the same way about me. I apologize for calling Corvallis cute, but I can't help it when you have such low priced drinks and little rules for carding people.
Anyways, this place had that upscale romantic vibe that I was dying to find at Enoteca. I came here on the recommendation of my roommate, because she said that this place makes a damn good martini. But this place has so much more!
I loved the decor of the place. Dark paneling, lovely chandeliers, the waterfall going on behind the bar. All setting the mood of lust and subtle sexiness. Then the drinks. So many great drinks, it was almost impossible to choose from. There was the delicious blood orange margarita, the tantalizing granite panda (I think...), and the absolutely enticing jalapeño and ginger beer drink. I loved sipping every one of them, though the jalapeño one was my favorite.
Though one might get completely lost in all of their creative drinks, they actually do have food here, and it is on par with the drinks. I had the chicken lettuce wraps, and my guy had another helping of mac and cheese. The chicken lettuce wraps were like pulled pork, well sauced and complete melt in your mouth goodness. The mac and cheese also hit the spot, with the crisp cheese on top and pepper throughout the dish.
If I could only eat one thing at 101, it would no doubt be their berry cobbler. Although I am a little shamed to admit this, let's blame my unabashed drunkenness, I destroyed this dessert in less than 5 minutes. And I'm not ashamed to say that I fended off my guy from getting more than three bites. So freaking amazing!
I am in love! I hope they feel the same way about me, because this is going to be my spot. Especially during happy hour. -

Happy Hour is the time to go, for sure. $3 off yummy small plates and $2 off a long list of cocktails. "The Matador" is my personal favorite! Get there as soon as happy hour starts to secure your favorite cozy booth.
On a recent visit, I asked if they could make one of their small plates vegetarian. Not only were they more than willing to do so, but the chef asked me specifically what I would like and created a personalized masterpiece! Also, many of their menu items are made with meat and veggies provided by local farms.
My only complaint is that there are too many T.V.s.
I've been here many times and have only had good to great service. -

Man, the 101 Burger with Rogue Creamery Blue Cheese and bacon was heavenly!!! The fries were covered with fresh grated parmesan and garlic! Awesome!!!

Stopped in with a friend for a drink. The bartender was attentive (Jared? maybe). The drinks were perfect. I recommend the Matador. Just enough sweet with the spice. YUM. I will return when I am in Corvallis.

A really fun place to hang out. A bit expensive but not as expensive as their sister restaurant (Big River) next door; I'd rather hang out here then there. Good drinks; good food. A bit pricey.

Another great evening of cocktails and appetizers at 101. They have so many items under $10.00 to fill you up, my friends and I can never decide. Their gourmet pizzas are fresh, flavorful, and loaded with fresh cheese, tomatoes, and whatever you want! As I said before, their martinis are great to the last drop - chilled just right, never warm. Or, as we like them, shaken not stirred.....

Love this place! Great happy hour discounts off of the great small plates. The pommes frites (fries) are to die for. We always succomb to the pulled pork nachos too. Terrific ambiance with a wall of falling water behind the bar. TVs galore tuned to sports. Buzztime trivia is available too. Gets crowded and noisy at times. Service is friendly.

This is one of my favorite spots in town! I really like the atmosphere and the tasty cocktails (blueberry tart is my fav). Even though I'm not a fan of Big River and the food is on the spendy side, what I've tried has been pretty good.

Grilled Caesar Salad is da Bomb! Which means it is good. I get cravings for it... Good burgers. Miss the duck meatballs and truffle fries... Small plates are also well crafted and yummy. Nice ambiance, which for me means I can watch the wall-o-tvs if I want or ignore them. Have come here with bigger parties and we were still well looked after by staff. Recommend it.

I like it with the family in the spacious corner booth out of the way of other with my young family "yes the TV helped to keep them at bay also. " The food and drinks where good and the iron skillet cookie is the best a must have. For a bar in Corvallis it has a fun little night life to it also in the late hours with your buddies. I call it a winner. The only negative I would say is more local wines. Service was good and everyone was nice. #corvsmb

I give one star for good drinks and food and the other for good service. I went there with 8 of my friends. Half of these woman were over 45 and the other half were a little younger. We had a few martinis and were being a little loud. You get 9 woman together, there is gonna be some noise! Someone went to order another drink and the waiter told us that he had been pulled aside by the manager and was told that he couldn't serve us any more drinks. No one was drunk or out of control. No one had more than 2 martinis and some of us didn't even drink. Why wouldn't the manager come over and let us know that we were being too loud and ask us to be a little more curtious of those around us. Managment handled the situation so wrong. We talked to the manager and he pretty much ignored us. It was too bad how acted. None of us will ever go back again. This is not the place to go if you want to have a good time with some good conversation with friends. It's very quite and low key.

Well I decided to go back and give 101 another chance and I am glad that I did. The service has dramatically improved as I did not have to wait long for food or drink refills. The food was excellent as usual and the waiter was extremely attentive to our needs. As long as this service keeps up, 101 will have me as a customer.
