You'd have to work hard not to like this place. When I arrived, I walked up to the counter and explained that I'd never been in before. I didn't know how their system worked. "You have a treat in store for you!" -- that was Denise, who introduced herself and asked my name. I wanted a sandwich and saw that there was a Cuban sandwich special. I ordered the Cuban and paid for it. Then it turned out that my Dad wanted me to bring back some bread. Could I order some? No problem! How much do I owe you? "Welcome to the 101Deli"!
The sandwich was carefully prepared and beautifully wrapped. It was large and it was perfect! At $8, it was fairly priced. I've had Cuban sandwiches before, and this one did not break new ground. I'd give it a 4. But the wonderful greeting and service leads me to add one star. I'm happy to recommend the 101 Deli and I hope to be back before long. -

I had a cinnamon raisin bagel this am and it tasted like a wheat bagel with lil raisins. I'm not sure if they make their own bagels but the cinnamon raisin tastes horrible. Where is the cinnamon and raisins? Also, they are so slow in the am. Subs are delicious but very expensive for no reason.

My favorite deli in New York...actually my favorite deli anywhere. They have the best freshly made on site bread I have ever had at a deli. They make the best heroes. Two sizes (mini and regular) are both priced below $7. My pick is to try the hot roast beef with American cheese, gravy, salt and pepper. They are a great stop on your way to the beach with a variety of sides like macaroni salad,potato salad, drinks, chips etc. They also just went under a renovation last year and the place looks amazing inside.

I stopped here on my way to the beach this past weekend, since it was closer to where I parked than the bagel/sandwich shop I usually frequent. Although they have a huge selection of deli products and prepared foods, there is no menu or product list to give you any guidance. And when I asked if they had a menu I received a very surly response, as if that was a ridiculous question, and then a half-assed rundown of typical things I might want to order. Meatball sub? Eggplant parm? In a bikini? No thanks. So I ordered a grilled veggie panini with mozzarella. The bread was amazing and fresh, and the eggplant, onions, and zucchini on the sandwich were nicely grilled, if a bit plain. Luckily the saltiness of the mozzarella saved it. However, why I had a big pile of carrots on an Italian-style veggie panini is beyond me. Maybe if I had seen a MENU that told me that carrots were included in the sandwich I could have asked that they be omitted in favor of roasted red peppers or something else equally appropriate. I think next time I'll keep walking.

NO KIDDING! The best sandwiches(heroes) I have ever had in my life. I have been all around the world! These are the freshest and best tasting sandwiches. They bake the best bread in the world!! You must go there!
