I like the selection of appetizers and noodles. the food is pretty good. i think the owner really needs to focus a little more on the service tho. she's just so scattered brain and that just doesn't go well when you have a house packed with customers. also, she should really hire a helping hand just so there is someone there at all times to provide some kind of service. i've been here many many times, everytime without fail, she misses something on our order. i don't let it get to me, i don't go unless i have time to spare. and its just snack food, so no biggie.
i'm just there for the food, service is expected to be poor at most chinese mom/pop shops. oh wells.
Bad service, bad food, uncomfortable/odd chairs.
They have like 5000 things on the menu. Unless you've had friends who've been here before, you'll probably never decide on what you want. Plus, half the stuff has weird names. Like someone pointed out, they have stuff like Mango Gi Gi.
Gi gi. Good name. Very descriptive.
Dessert was not memorable, so I guess it wasn't that bad or good. And the service is horrible. The woman there just gave us dirty looks nonstop. Do I have a huge pimple on my head or something? Someone later told me that they're only nice to you if you speak Canto. Otherwise, you're screwed because they don't really understand English either.
I don't even really remember what I ordered. I think it had the word "phoenix" or something in it. Will never, ever come back. Ever.
This one's bigger than the one in SF and has a larger selection on the menu . But I can only say it's decent . The soursop was okay but too sweet . The tofu flakes was flavorless . I did like how they don't try to fool you into thinking there is more by using a bigger bucket like in SF lol . The spam sushi wasn't good . It just didn't taste right the way they made it . 35$ for 4 people .. and not one bite was good or fulfilling . Parking around here is easy which is good .
This place is horribad. The desserts are gross. The red beans are hard. The agar is hard. It's just a disaster. I never plan to come back here again. Avoid it like the plague. I'm serious.
I came here with my brother and his friends. It's located on a very busy street in Millbrae. I liked the decor .. the seats are hard but at least they're wavy shaped =x So I ordered this thing on the menu #C22 Mango Gi Gi .. what does Gi Gi mean? Good question.. when someone finds out let me know please? K Thanks =x...
Mango Gi Gi: mango puree with tiny tapioca with chopped mango and slivers of grapefruit pieces. It was very good actually, surprisingly so. Usually grapefruits so bitter. But this was very good .. much better than Creations on Geary Street in San Francisco.
I would definitely come here again.
I LOVE Chinese Desserts!
For some reason, you can't find many authentic Asian dessert houses out here on the Peninsula...That's why I freaked when I stumbled upon 100% Healthy right down the street from my place.
Wide selection of desserts. Quality is pretty good...and prices are really good!...Can't complain. As to how healthy the dishes are...it definitely does not live up to the name. At least I can burn some calories every time I walk there & back.

I used to like this place..But now I absolutely HATE it. The service is crap, and the owner of the place is a total female dog. She is so ridiculous...I went in for a to-go order, they made a mistake--so i told that lady...she apologized, and told me that she'll go "wash the mango juice off it and put coconut milk"...I was so pissed off when she even offered that. That was so not sanitary, and she even gave me attitude when I said I wanted a replacement. I'll NEVER go back there again. Horrible place.
oh yeah, its a rip off too. I only ordered a drink and a dessert and it added up to $10
Their supposedly health conscious desserts actually seem healthy. I liked their black sesame sweet soup (?) thingy.
The service. That's where i have a lot of issues. Look, just because you are a bunch of incompetent Chinese ladies doesn't mean you got right to suck at giving some level of a friendly customer service. The whole "healthy" perspective is ruined by an unhealthy air of the restaurant.

Bad service, food was ok. I didn't get the dessert but had their lunch specials. The wait time was too long--so don't come in there when you're really starving. The lady even forgot our drinks, reason was she was busy talking to her friend. Then after almost half an hour of wait, she gave me the wrong set of flatware so I decided to get another spoon only to find some hair in the container. Disgusting! I lost my appetite after that. I'm probably not coming back to this place again.
Great variety of HK style desserts and fruit dishes etc.
Free wifi WPA encrypted.
Both older and younger staff.
They are nice after you get their attention.
On the weekends and later at night it can get busy.
However this can be a fun place to hang out as they are open quite late (2 on the weekends and 12 on weeknights).
Most of Broadway street is pretty much shut down at that point so it's nice to have this as an option.
The staff are usually happy to suggest something to try from the menu if you are not familiar with the cuisine.
I'm not from hong kong, so when I go to any hong kong/chinese dessert places, chances are I will love it. Even if hong kong people say the place/food/dessert sucks compared to what they used to have back in HK. I think that's to be expected, no?
Anyway, I went to 100% healthy dessert with a friend of mine who happens to know the owner. So obviously we got somewhat good service. I'll have to come back to experience the bad, which I'm sure to get especially because I don't speak cantonese. I got used to bad services from chinese establishments so it doesn't bother me as much.
The owner recommended curry chicken with rice. It was good, but 100% unhealthy. The chicken pieces were literally swimming in a pool of oil. Same goes to the dessert, waffle with ice cream and mixed fruits. So much sugar, but oh so good, and it came with fruits! That's healthy, right? Right?? (Trying to justify the unhealthyness)
We got a couple other dishes but I can't remember what they're called.
Overall, I really like this place. The three of us were full with $20.
p.s. Do not get the noodle dishes.

Never going back to this place again.
I've been there twice, first was okay. Waited forever for the waitress to bring our food (the waitress seemingly a 13 year old which could have been a child of the restaurant owner?). Though the food was colorful, it didn't seem too appealing as I watched the 13 year old waitress sneeze into her hands and then grab a straw (at the tip where you put your mouth) and jab it into the drink with her germ-ridden hands.
Second trip, I went back just for a drink and had to wait 10 minutes for them to fill the cup with ice, soda, the tadpole whatever thing and green apple flavoring. A monkey could have done that job in half the time. I would've paid to see a monkey do it too.
But what made the final verdict was my run-in yesterday. I was walking along the sidewalk right in front of Healthy Desserts and I accidentally cut my toe open on the heel part of my shoe (yes, it's freaking sharp). So there I was, toe bleeding wide open and my boyfriend runs in to ask for a few napkins to wipe the blood dripping off of my foot. What does the waitress say? "Sorry, customer only."
.......
The cheap ass restaurant couldn't even afford to give a few napkins for a previous customer with her toe bleeding wide open outside. And my boyfriend DID in fact tell her what the napkins were needed for and still she declined.
So, as I said, never going back there again. I guess you can't expect too much out of a place that can't even afford to spare a few napkins.
Oh, and on another note, my boyfriend ran into the Chinese restaurant next door and asked for a few napkins and they quickly gave him a huge stack of very good napkins. Hooray for that place! But anyway, as stated above, I would never go back to this place, (the only exception is if I had another wad of bloody napkins to throw at the lady behind the counter).

I think this is one of the only dessert places I have tried in Milbrae. Service is definitely not the best. I came here last night with a couple of friends. The waiter got our order wrong and we ended up with some barley dessert. Then they left out our order but we were told it was the kitchen's fault (it was mango pudding with fruit salad, yah right). Besides that, they have an extensive list of puddings, coconut flavor hoi fun, jellies, and typical milk drinks.
Not bad for a quick dessert fix. Easy parking a definite plus =)

After the first five minutes...Linda C. is thinking...: "can we get a menu?"
Five minutes later..."menu!?" ::gets fed up and grabs a menu herself::
Five minutes later..."biyatch, stop talking to your grandma and come take my order..."
Final Thoughts: "UGH. Time to go to Quickly's."
Needless to say....MEH.
I've been to this location several times and I have to say it really kinda falls below the Taraval location in the City...sometimes they're good, sometimes they're not... and I'm not just talking about the dessert. The last couple of times I went the dessert was okay, I mean how hard can you screw up ice cream waffle? Their hot desserts are hit or miss too, I had the papaya with "snow frog" a couple times and sometimes its too sweet, or too bland...I have to say though the food is fine, and the desserts are usually okay if you don't order anything hot...go to HLS or the SF 100% for that...or better yet, make your own!
I went last night as well, and we didn't even get served! We got soooo annoyed we straight got up and walked out - hence the nice little description at the beginning of this review...
Too bad...
Yah, like I said ... hit or miss...too bad its mostly miss

Yeah, it seemed 100% healthy. I had the sweet almond soup and it tasted like they ground the almonds fresh or something.. Only complaint is they don't take credit cards and didn't have a sign clearly stating that :( My friend had to pay because of that :(

We came here after dinner on a Sat night and decided to try it out since I've been to the SF location and I can't say no to dessert.
I recognized most of the items in the menu being similar to the one in the SF branch
I ordered my usual sesame paste sweet soup and it was tasty and hearty and my 2 friends followed suit with the same order. Another friend had the soya bean curd but I saw her stirring it profusely and she didn't take much of it.
Bf ordered the mango dessert which never came.
Service was definitely spotty and they were packed at 10:30pm on a Sat night. I would say my dessert was 4 stars but the overall star rating, just a 3.

i came here with my foblicious family thinking that i'd get the same satisfaction from what i had at their other location on taraval street in SF, but NOPE. This place is bleh.
First, the decor is horrible. i think they tried too hard to be "fun" with being so colorful. the chairs are REALLY uncomfortable. maybe it's because im not bone thin and 85lbs., but it really doesn't make you wanna stay.
so i ordered their famous mango/coconut/black sticky rice hot dessert and it was SO BLAND! I can't believe it! the owner is an old friend of ours from a long time ago and he said they specially order their mangoes from asia but NO taste..
this place might be 100% Healthy, but its only like 16% good.

i don't get it they have a big menu but it seems that they can't much right. first of all I'm sure the stuff is healthy but I'm here for the taste. All the aloe , bubbles, and whatever can be good if its done right, but they don't do it right.
Came here on a slow Monday night, at about 11pm or so.
They still had the wreaths at the door, so it must have just opened. Can't say I can comment on the poor service that other reviewers have been talking about (the owner served me). And for me (and probably others from East Asia) it's not the quantity, but the quality of the food, that counts.
I had always liked the 100% on Taraval, most notably for its "fragrant and slippery" tofu pudding and sesame paste. I didn't get to try to the tofu pudding, but the sesame paste was up to the same standards, so I was satisfied.
I'm always impressed when a dessert place gets their traditional basics right (I probably won't ever need to try all their newfangled stuff - but those seem to be quite popular, at least at the Taraval location).
Great location too - it's right in Millbrae downtown, across from the Millbrae BART/Caltrain station..

Stopped by yesterday...I have a major sweet tooth so had to check it out. I can only try so much...the menu is extensive with pictures and everything! So my first visit - tried the Dun dan (hot) - it was good..once you open the dessert pot you smell ginger...it was actually very strong...but when u taste it - its not so bad...very smooth and light...not eggy-custardy. Also had the the banana - peanut butter toast...this was very yummy and it was so cute...cut into little bite-size squares. Also tried the Japanese style potstickers...one order came with 3 potstickers...the skin was crispy and the filling was decent for a joint like this. The atmosphere was cutesy ...with plasma television showing TVB...

For a place called 100% Healthy Dessert I was surprised to find all sorts of unhealthy food such as bacon wrapped sausage, pork cutlet, and even ramen noodles. The service was very bad and you could tell that the the owner was trying to avoid paying people to work there by using their kids which I estimated to be age 12 - 13 to make and serve the desserts.
They got our orders wrong TWICE and it took forever to get them out all at once. I ended up burning my finger on a piece of ceramic that they failed to warn me about being hot. They have very low quality standards for their desserts because pretty much everything was bad.
All in all crappy food, crappy service.

Haven't tasted the food yet but the menu looks impressive, 5 pages worth of color on the takeout menu with pictures. Lots of varieties of HK style and fusion desserts, snacks, and fancy drinks. Fills a nice niche of HK Chinese/HK style western restaurants in the area.
Note: This is a 2nd branch of the original location on Taraval St in SF.
EDIT: I dropped by earlier today after lunch and decided to try this place out. By the entrance there is a sign saying that the staff is still in training and working the kinks out so expect delays in service. They were not kidding. There was one counter chef, young guy making dessert, a helper, one or two folks who stay in the kitchen and do work there, one waitress, someone who seems to be the shift manager.
The waitress took my order and although she kindly told me the baked sago pudding would take 25 mins to prepare when I tried to order it, she didn't know the ingredients fully to one of the fancy drinks. She seemed to have trouble after the fact working the even fancier touch screen invoicing machine.
After my drink came out, 6 high school kids likely from Millbrae High dropped in for snacks and drinks. I ordered the SF drink (#1) which was watermelon, pineapple, and a small layer of black sago likel pearls. It was quite good, in a tall fancy glass for $4.25. After they ordered, another couple and their daughter/grandkid came in and they waited a while before the waitress got to them. Then my order of tofu fa came, which I asked for it cold, though they ended up giving it to me hot (not a biggie). The texture was fantastic, but no hint of tofu flavor, and despite the addition of syrup it was still on the bland side overall (though appearance it was really beautiful and authentic).
I tried to ask for the check towards the end of the meal but to no avail at least 3 times, until I saw the Millbrae "cushman" start tagging car tires with chalk, and I had to bellow that I am in a hurry otherwise I'm getting a ticket. During those times I asked for the check the waitress was on the phone and browsing through the menu. Then later after she got off the phone she was complaining about something to a coworker, and then finally came and got me the check. When she got me my change, she said sorry (about the delay) but it wasn't a sincere one as she was in a bad mood from the phone call.
Bottom line: heed the warning of the sign by the entrance before you go in. Don't expect tight customer service and make sure you have a lot of time to kill. Menu offerings are creative and innovative, but the kinks in the service could use a month to two at best guess to work itself out. I wouldn't set foot in here for a bit, and you will have nothing but yourself to blame if you came on a busy weekend night....

Yet another Hong Kong style dessert and snack place popping up in the Peninsula, and the first in Millbrae.
On the dessert side, you can find the typical fruit mixes popularized by Hui Lau Shan in Hong Kong (a.k.a. Creations Dessert House in SF). There are a few unique variations beyond tapioca, such as a coconut flavored rice noodles, a "tadpole" like jelly, and so on. I love mangoes, but similar to Hui Lai Shan, the quality of their mango based desserts is plagued by the lack of quality mangoes here in California - if you haven't tried mangoes from SE Asia, you haven't tried mangoes, period.
The snacks are so-so, nothing worth yelping about.
Service is definitely spotty; in technical jargon, we feel like we're running beta testing for them. We were approached by a middle age woman (who we believed was the owner) who solicited a lot of input from us, from quality of the food to the quality of the service. So at least we couldn't fault her for not trying.

I came here at around 6:30pm to get a little dinner snack in before practice. Boy, it was like a ghost town. Regardless, I had to give an Asian place props, and I had seen some decent dinner specials on the storefront window, so I went in. They have some LCD's on the wall playing Chinese TV. I took a seat at the counter, but the chairs are some sort of nouveau furniture, and thus are rather tricky to sit on, and somewhat uncomfortable.
I ordered one of their chicken udon bowl specials, which apparently took like 10-15 minutes to make. And when it came out, they had mistakenly put in ramen instead of udon. Sigh. Oh well, I wasn't about to wait another 15 minutes, so I just ate what I got. And, it actually wasn't too bad - the broth was quite tasty, and there were interesting tidbits in the bowl. Anyhow, if I'm feeling adventurous, I may try this place again.
They're stuff is cute, presentation is nice but the food just is just average They also keep trying to push me to try more expensive things which I hate. We had the mixed fruit mango pudding, pudding was just whatever, it was obvious that it just came from some mango pudding powder mix. Fruit was.. fruit? Couple next to me had the cutest heart shaped pink little lychee things though! I'd probably still go back again just cuz it's one of the very few places open super late in the Millbrae-Burlingame area.
TOO little dish
TOO expensive
TOO slow

Did anyone see the back page of the menu? Where they explain some of the ingredients used in their desserts and what the health benefits are? I saw one that aided "bowel movement". Not so appetizing words to see on a menu.
In any case, I've tried a few items on the menu, and so far, my favorite is the Macau pudding a la creme. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but it tastes like like whipped cream with layers of ground-up vanilla or graham crackers in between. I like the Sweet Tofu too, but find that it's kind of pricey for the portion you get.

I was waiting anxiously... Driving by every so often as this place went through construction, and finally opened to the public.
I used to live close to the one in SF on taraval and moved to out the peninsula, so I've already had experience with some of their desserts. I say, "with experience" because I have to admit, some of their things on the menu are a little strange, but with a little exploration, we can learn what we like and what we don't like. There's a colorful display of everything on the menu and a great variety for the different taste buds of people.
I've been there several times and try to order something different each time I go. I'm usually happy with whatever I order. When I go, I'm there with a small group of one or two people and sit at the bar so I haven't really experienced any bad service as said by the other yelpers did. It's hard to get bad service when they are right there in front of your face.
Definitely a place to try. A great place to grab a late bite or just to hang out and chat! Innovative and different from "classic" desserts. It's an acquired taste, so if you aren't into weird Asian flavors, you might just want to order the creme brulee or Jello!

based on my dessert alone, i'd say 100% healthy dessert was 3 stars. even more so from the entertainment factor of watching my friends order and eat some weird chinese stuff. a lot of the items on the menu seemed very adventurous and i would have tried the tadpole but didn't see anything simple that included it, so i just went with the fresh fruit and mango pudding. my order was kinda hard to mess up, so it tasted fine, but there was definitely less fruit than i anticipated and it took them forever to make (they brought out each dessert one by one in intervals of 5-10 minutes minimum). also, the seats are rather uncomfortable. i'm guessing they made them intentionally that way so people wouldn't mill around.

I was pretty excited when this place opened up in Millbrae like...maybe a little more than a month ago. This meant that being in Burlingame, I didnt have to go to san mateo for desserts anymore...I could go over to the "other side." Millbrae. Located on Broadway near Broadway Bistro and Millbrae Dumpling House, this place has potential to become something great....a nice location for dessert and talk after a meal in Millbrae. Decor was modern and nice, and the desserts themselves werent bad....but it's not spectacular either. To be honest, I have yet to try spectacular dessert on the peninsula (maybe im spoiled by LA's pinkberry though). I ordered the black glutenous rice with mango in coconut milk. to my dismay, it only came warm. which is fine. it tasted good. my friend tried the mango boat with tadpoles. These "tadpoles" are brightly colored mini boba-like balls. But to our surprise, they were crunchy. Yes. Crunchy. Weird? A little. Unpleasant? Not really. Just a little bit out of the ordinary, but still good to eat. Seeing as how they've just opened up, they probably still need a little time to improve their service and operation might be on the stiff side. But the experience wasn't unpleasant and the prices were between $5-$7... a little steep for me. But I wouldn't not go back. Especially since the atmosphere is nice. Service was friendly as well. Dock one star for not having mango gigi that night, dock another star for bathroom that the lock didnt work and I awkwardly walked in on some poor lady mid-stream. For now, three stars.

Don't let the name of this place fool you. There's nothing healthy about these desserts. The serve asian desserts. My sister and I drove by this place one night and was curious so we stopped in. We decided to order to go. First of all, the girl that took our order couldn't calculate tax for the life of her. She stood over the 10-key calculator trying to calculate tax by adding our total to 8.25...then she tried multiplying the total to 8.25. I wanted to grab the calculator and do it myself. After she finally managed to calculate our total with tax, she told us it would take 15 minutes for the desserts to be ready. When we got home and opened the desserts, we found the portions to be ridiculously small. One of our dessert was the sweet tofu. I swear the piece we got in the container was no higher than a inch high and probably 5 inches across. And the prices were not cheap. And they didn't even give enough ginger sauce to sweeten the dessert. I would definitely not go back here again.

I went here on a late Saturday night to find a busy, busy restaurant full of Asians yapping away in a tongue I cannot understand. We were seated pretty promptly as they were turning tables over. While they do have an extensive menu--its questionable if it is good. Since we were starving, we ordered some ramen, mini sausage appetizer, a sausage/egg sandwich, a lemon freeze and the chocolate malt teaser. While the malt teaser drink, mini sausages, and the sandwich came. The ramen came a while later and they totally forgot about our lemon freezer until we almost finished the meal. The food lacked flavor and substance--there are plenty of HK cafes and noodle/wonton shops around the bay with better food. Overall--its an ok joint to go to for a late-night snack with friends. The prices are ok--and trying the fresh desserts and sogo stuff should give me a much more rounded review for you all. I give them the extra star because it seems like a family business with the daughters working there for the initial set up. Coming from a family business background myself--I know how that can be and how the kinks still need to be worked out.

A couple coworkers and I were in search of someplace new when we stumbled upon the big yellow grand opening sign outside 100% Healthy Desserts. As we sat down, a man who looked like he was a cook handed us menus (the first in a series of strange things that happened to us). The menu is confusing, there are words printed all over the place, and obviously nobody checked the grammar or spelling. We ordered the lunch combination which was surprisingly good, but took well over 20 minutes to prepare (we were the ONLY customers in the place). Towards the end of the meal, I decided to try a "fresh fruit" drink and asked the woman at the counter to make sure it was fresh fruit and not powdered or syrup. She assured me that it was fresh, so I ordered a Strawberry Juice. I stood at the counter and noticed that she was pouring a ton of strawberry syrup into the drink which baffled me because of what I just asked her. The drink was gross, by the way. Anyways, getting our check was quite an ordeal as the woman struggled to figure out how much we owed and yelled at her daughter at the same time. We were extremely patient with everything as we figured that this place had just opened, but were very shocked to learn that it had opened in November of 2006. I give this place 3.5 stars for the food, but 1 star for everything else.
