Review from annie w.
i'm updating this review to 5 out of 5 stars. i haven't eaten my way through all the sandwiches but intend to at some point.
what's not to like? free wi-fi, wonderful sandwiches, great local/organic bread and ingredients, great coffee, draw all over the tables with crayon and bring the kids (or your inner child). and it's right next to the ice rink.

Review from Kris W.
This place is top notch & I love what the owner's are trying to accomplish.
The breads are from local bakery Vesta (which I've left a 5 star review for) and they even have a map detailing where all their ingredients come from locally.
In addition to their rotating menu of 10 sandwiches they offer soups (which I haven't tried yet but sound delicious) along with a well stocked cooler of Boylans sodas which are phenomenal. Plus they offer Dave's Coffee!
All the sandwiches I've tried have been pretty amazing & they even have a kids menu too with some pretty interesting twists on your typical children's offerings.
As much as I'd love to give Ten Sandwiches 5 stars, I agree with Joe C about the prices being a bit high. I recently bought 2 sandwiches there and it was almost $20 but I was extremely pleased with the quality.
They also only carry Deep River Snacks chips which I don't think are that great. If they were a bit more affordable & had more chip selection then I would definitely definitely leave 5 stars. -

I don't use the word "gourmet" often because I feel the word is overused in many food descriptions. But I can unequivocally say that this place makes gourmet sandwiches in the true sense of the word. There's nothing average about them. And there's nothing average about their ingredients: fresh mozzarella, fresh mesculin lettuce, fresh ciabatta bread, etc. In fact, the owner uses a lot of local ingredients, home grown in the state of Rhode Island.
The casual interior is super tiny and there's only one person (the owner?) behind the counter. The business is closed on Sundays.
The only thing that's prevents me from giving 5 stars are the prices. Most sandwiches are a little bit pricey between $8 - $10. But I guess like many things in life you get what you pay for. At least you get the comfort of knowing you consumed a small bit of Little Rhodey when you walk out the door. -

Westerly, RI
Restaurants like this one are breathing a more contemporary life back into Westerly. Run by some local guys, they have managed to make quite a cult-like following for themselves already. You don't have to be some Brooklyn foodie to enjoy the local organic veggies, fresh artisan breads and intriguing drink selection (featuring a modest selection of craft beers, local wines, and Dave's Coffees). Unpretentious, friendly and cozy, you will find something you will love.
I look forward to awesome things become as the menu continues to change. The selection of beers and wines is new as well as the addition of a homemade soups, wholesome salads and the incredible Dave's Coffee confections. As always, they use wicked fresh stuff from all around Rhode Island, and the effort they put into their fare is clearly evident.
Do yourself a favor, if you have 10 minutes to spare, try one of Ten's amazing sandwiches. -

Love it here. On a mission to try all 10 Sandwiches. I'm 60% there but they're about to switch up to a summer menu. Guess that just means I'll have to try more/harder.
The Dave's cold-brewed iced coffee they serve is like crack. And I mean that in a good way. I was doubly thrilled when I first ordered my delicious glass full and learned that they offer agave nectar with it. So much easier than spending 35-45 minutes trying to stir sugar crystals into a cold drink.
Of the 6 sandwiches I've tried so far (8 if you count the bites I have tried from my dining companions' orders) the curried chicken (#4 I think) and the #6 - chicken with avocado, bacon, chipotle mayo, etc are excellent. All the rest are great, too. You really can't go wrong. -

Finally! Drinkable coffee in Westerly, RI. Up until this point the coffee at the La Quinta had been the best around (damning with faint praise, as my father would say...). But this sandwich shop brews coffee from a local coffee roaster, and it's good! They offer cold-brewed ice coffee, smoothies, and fancy sodas as well. Oh! And "craft wine/beer" (per the menu).
They also have 10 specialty sandwiches (as the name implies...) that look absolutely delicious--we will definitely be trying one or all, if they will use my gluten-free bread from home. Finally, they offer breakfast sandwiches, salads, a kid's menu, and maybe soup? We'll find out! -

Went back for the 4th time and sampled a curried chicken sandwich which was scrumptious, with fresh chunks of chicken, delectable curry dressing, plump tasty red grapes on a fresh delicious Vesta ciabatta roll. Yummy!
