This place is awesome! They're called $1 because SOME of their drinks cost a dollar, but most of the drinks cost $2.75, with tax, tops. I normally don't like boba in my drinks but I do like taro slushes. I've had them all over san gabriel valley, and $1 drink makes them the best. They're blended super smooth and they're not overly sweet. The staff is so friendly, and even though it's a little slow (from being so busy!) I couldn't have been more happy with my visit. What a great place, and I look forward to returning very soon.

I got a little excited because I thought every drink was going to be $1 in comparison to drinks usually being $3.50+, but I was tricked D:...it's okay though because the drink was still only $1.99 or so.  What a deal!  I got lychee green tea and my boyfriend got mango slush with boba.  Mine tasted a little watered down, but my boyfriend's drink was really flavorful.  The only thing that made me sad was that they don't take card.  That's my fault though haha I should carry emergency cash.

Lately I've been frequenting boba places nonstop for the past 2 months or so normally in Orange County, so it was nice having a different place to try besides the main names that are around where I live.  Cool beans!

$1 Drinks is awesome but of course, you get what you pay for!

Like other reviewers mentioned, it is true- not all drinks are $1. Don't expect a fancy o-latte milk tea with mini boba like you would get at Ten Rens. This is "$1 Drink"!

For $1, you can get simple drinks:
Boba milk tea - small size
    Konjac milk tea- small size
    Kumquat juice
    Dark plum juice
    Lychee juice
    Kiwi juice
    Ice coffee
*Medium size is usually $1.50, large $2

For $1.99, you can get more complex drinks with add-ins:
    Honey aloe vera with konjac
    Red bean with konjac etc

They also have a variety of buy one get one free specials:
    Two colors pudding drink
    Ginger tea
    Star fruit juice

This place is a good place to stop by if you're on a budget and in the mood for a simple drink.

I have not tried many of their juice drinks and am generally not a fan of juice/slushy drinks. My standard order is a medium milk tea with pudding.  A small size is pretty small, not really enough to satisfy my usual drink craving, so I usually end up "splurging" and spending an extra 50 cents for a normal size drink. This definitely still beats spending $5 on boba but you don't get the luxuries of customizing sweetness, mini boba, boba noodle, or real good quality tea drinks.

Don't be fooled by the name-- the majority of drinks are not $1, but the drinks are cheap ($2-$3, CASH ONLY btw) and on top of that BOMB (and I'm convinced I don't think that just b/c of the price).

I always opt for the mini boba, which is soft, chewy, and the perfect amount of sweet. Only qualm with this place is that on occasion the regular boba a little hard.

All of the drinks I've tried have been delish-- especially the smoothies/slushies, which are smooth and don't have the typical chunks of ice. Definitely try the fresh fruit smoothies (listed on the wall facing the cash register).

Call me crazy but I prefer this place to all the other boba places in the plaza!

Final note: the interior is pretty tiny/barren so if you're looking for somewhere to study this probably isn't your place.

    Are you serious? Yup!

This place is called $1 drink and that's exactly what you get. I am a sucker for sour plum drinks, but not the syrup ones. Yeah, what was I thinking for a buck. Here, you get what you pay for. I think it is ideally situated by Mt. Sac and Cal Poly, because students with empty wallets can scrounge up a buck some where. I bet this place gets packed in the supper.

Note to self: Dang..how many boba places are in this plaza?

The boba milk tea here is good. I like the texture of the boba and it has just the right amount of sweetness. I'm glad that its not overly sweet. It is a small place and it only accepts cash! The price is decent. Good place to go if you are near the area especially Cal Poly Pomona or Mt. SAC

I've been here a few times,
i actually avoid it because i'm not a HUGE fan of boba milk tea. But the price is so good I have a few friends that would choose this over Other tea places just because its a dollar per drink. Its not a place where you can really just hang out or study at,

Like a typical Asian, I spend between 3-4 dollars on a drink hang out there for a couple of hours just talking with friends a using their wifi *cough* lollicup around the corner.

Just to hang out. $1 drink is more of a get buy your drink and go type of deal, its not some where you want to just lounge at for a few hours.
well they actually have games, cards, and magazines. Though it doesn't give that vibe where i just want to hang out there.

The pricing on the drinks did not own up to the place's name. Drinks were around $1.99-$2.99...How deceiving!

The almond milk tea was very refreshing, me like! The Thai tea...meh! I've tried better.

Shoulda checked if they offered any food. Maybe I'll go again tomorrow. But overall an a-okay joint.

For a small boba milk tea...It was A-ok . Such a cute little cup. I'm a sucker for small things. Its pretty darn cute. Not of a fan of the milk tea nor the boba. Milk tea was too milky, and boba was overcooked. Too mushy. Actually, it should be mehhh i've had better but thennn for a small its just ONE BUCK! Cheap!

I come here randomly when I'm in the area, but I would normally go to Meow Meow or Tea Station. But not anymore! I've officially found my FAVORITE place just to get PLAIN MILK TEA!! My boyfriend got the Milk Tea with Konjac, and we both loved it! I live in San Gabriel, so I'm surrounded by boba places, but this is by far my favorite for their milk tea, and I NEVER just order milk tea. The Konjac was a bit boring to me, since I'm used to chewier textures but it seemed like they just used regular jelly. I was adventurous and tried their Peppermint Milk Tea with boba, and found a favorite drink there! So yummy! Reminded me of Mint Chocolate, but in a milk tea formation! Totally coming back here in a few days.

Pros: FABULOUS Milk Tea! AC. Quick service.
Cons: A bit cramp, so come here just to do pick ups rather than lounge around.

The $1 name deceiving.  I counted only 6 drinks listed for a buck.  The rest were from $1.50 - $2.50.  And they were all upgradeable to the next size up for an additional cost and, of course, with boba?  Cha ching.  And like everywhere else, cash only.

So, two stars for the questionable business tactic of name your store $1 Drink and the so-so service from the entire family working there.

The extra star is for my 7 year old who absolutely loved his mango slush.  His exact words, "Can we come here everyday?  I love my drink and I think it tastes fantastic."

$1.50 for a small milk tea or $2 for a large. I'll take the large.

I first arrived and was overwhelmed with homemade sign all over both inside and outside the store. Since I was in the mood for a boba milk tea I purchased the large size. The milk tea was average nothing too special about the flavor nor was the boba. It was hard and chewy =/ it's nice that it's walking distance from campus but next time I'll stop by lollicup for my boba fix or drive to OZERO in Alhambra, yes I would drive 30 minutes for fluffy almond coffee plus the boyfriend lives in the area so that's a plus ;)

$1 for ~10oz asian drinks? Yes please!

As most people here have said, the drinks aren't the best, but you really can't ask for more considering the price. I really just come here for boba milk teas whenever I'm driving home on Grand and want something to chew on for 15 minutes.

Don't think I've ever ordered anything less than three drinks at once here: kill one drink while walking over to my car, and save the other two for the road!

I have been going to this place for a little over a year now and I have to say that they have the best milk tea I have ever had!
I have been to all the other boba places (Lollicup, Tastea, Half & Half, Volcano Tea) and I still like the milk tea at this place better than anywhere else!
It does cost more for a larger size and boba but with the additional costs it is still WAY cheaper and better than any other boba place!

Who would pass this good price for a boba drink?

This is the place that I started liking boba! I ordered my first boba over 6 years ago at some other boba store and never again due to bad experience. I think it was because the quality was bad, and it was green apple boba. Bleh.

However, after all these years, I took my first boba drink again. Where have I been?! :)

Anyways, I go there too often due to attending to Mt. Sac College. Some drinks are over $1 though! It can be up to $3 bucks, depending what drink you order.

    CASH ONLY too!

I saw on their door that they had a small boba milk tea for $1. Not everything there is one dollar though. But I just like Milk Tea so I'm fine with it.

The store is small with a few tables, a small tv, and a menu with loads of added drinks plastered around the walls of the store. Quick and friendly service.

I bought it and it cost $1.10 w/ tax. The size of the cup is smaller than in other places. The boba and drink were slightly sweet but not overpowering with the sugary-ness.  The boba was slightly chewy and not clumped together like in some other places. Though the boba seems a bit smaller than the last time I bought some over there.

    It's cash only.

I drove all the way from LA County to see the dentist in this plaza (who was excellent btw.. check out my review for Skyline Dentistry).. and needed to kill time since my google maps looked like southern california was on fire (red lines = traffic)..

Snuck in here with a book, ordered a milk tea.. and it was.. not bad.

For the price?  Killer.  I don't think *ANY* asian tea places charges this low.

Service was.. so-so.  Probably cuz I'm not Chinese and there was a bit of a language barrier  (I asked the guy to suggest something from their ginormous wall menu and all i got was a grunt of some sort).

It wasn't the worst milk tea I've ever had, but it was missing the mark for a full four stars.

Probably would come back here if i were in the area..
Compared to the cafe nearby called "The Hub" -- which I snuck into as well... (one of the girls working there was yammering so loud that it made it impossible to read).. this place has better milk tea.

I don't eat boba so I can't tell you much on that part.
If you're broke but craving milk tea - this place will do its job.

Had a fresh fruit strawberry and mango smoothie with lychee jelly and boba. It was good but I've had better consistency at other places. One thing I didn't like was this place was cash only. I understand the costs of having a debit card machine but they could get more business if they accepted cards. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. Not a fan of the milk tea but I know a lot of people like it so marketing it for $1 is a good idea.

I prefer THIS place over "Quickly" in Rowland Heights. "Quickly" gets orders out so quick they're lukewarm LOL.

$1 Drink is great, they make a mean Green Tea Power Slush, and it's slush, not half-ass blended ice that clumps.

Always great service and friendly help.

This store has some interesting drinks. I had the $1 cantaloupe drink which was quite tasty. It wasn't too sweet and really hit the spot. The bf had the plum vinegar slush. Now THAT was an interesting drink. It had a slight vinegar aftertaste that was not too overwhelming. The bf liked it a lot. It's definitely something you'll have to sip slowly. Service was quick and the people behind the counter was friendly.

    ==================================================
My $0.02 on shaved ice since they are not created equal so I'm using the following method to categorize it:

    Flavor Syrup - None
Toppings - About 10 varieties total of canned fruit, fresh fruit, and star-shaped jelly.
Condensed Milk - Yes, standard on the ice

Pre-set combo or FFA (free for all) - "Combo" It's one topping per order. If you want more toppings, it's extra $.
Size - Served in a styrofoam bowl.
    Cost - $3.69

Remarks - I got the mango star-shaped jelly topping for the shaved ice. At first I was afraid it might be gross cause I'm not a big fan of jelly but it was not bad actually. They put a lot of condensed milk on the ice. Yay! The ice is finely crushed not shaved. Not too bad for a quick fix.

I was craving boba, I am poor, and so I googled $1 boba, and this place shows up.  I told the boyfriend and we zoom zoomed our way there.  Before arrival, I didn't expect much because they are called $1 Drinks.  Upon arrival, my expectations were met, there wasn't a large selection of $1 drinks, but I only wanted boba milk tea and that is suppose to be $1.  However, their $1 boba milk tea is a dinky little thing so we ended ordering a large instead, which cost $2.

I liked the milk tea, I thought it tasted well and it wasn't too sweet.  However,  I thought the boba itself was too sweet.  So I ended up drinking from the top of the cup.  Also, I did mix my drink, so I'm not a retard and let everything settle on the bottom, in case you were wondering.

I would come back again since this place is quite inexpensive.  One last thing, they only take cash.

I have been going to this place for about three years. This place is pretty consistent in terms of service and quality. Due to rising cost of materials they temporarily raised the price of their regular sized boba drink to $1.25. Recently they changed it back to $1 but just shrunk the size of the boba. I can finish it in literally two minutes so I have to upgrade to a bigger size. (I normally can't finish the regular size boba but their new $1 sized drink is more like a baby size drink. Perfect for kids but I'm not a kid so you get the drift.)

    PROS:
How can you beat a $1 drink?
    Super quick service
People who work there are nice & friendly

    CONS:
They shrunk the size of the $1 drink and really skimp on the boba
The title of the store is misleading. You will most certainly spend more than a $1
The other drinks (Thai tea, Taro tea) are not that good (if you are using other boba places as comparison). I think they use the powdered base instead of actual tea leaves. Ugh.

I attend school 4 days a week, and my husband usually takes me to class. He actually found this place, while he waited for my class to wrap up one day and we've been going there everyday for a week now.

For the record, I have never liked boba and I had never had a Boba Milk Tea. I had a bad experience with boba once, and I never considered trying them again. However, that totally changed when my hubby brought me here.

Cute, tiny and quaint little hole-in-the-wall. Their daily special is $1 for a small Boba Milk Tea. Their larger drink is $2. Super affordable, and totally worth it! I tried my first Milk Tea without boba, and it was awesome. It wasn't too sweet, and it wasn't too strong. I snagged a couple of boba from my hubby's drink, and I've been addicted to boba ever since!

I can't wait to go again, this place is amazing.

    Om nom nom nom.

This is the place that I go for boba and slushies.

Sure, there is a Lollicup right around the corner, but I feel the service is better here, and that the slushies taste a little bit better.  Boba is better made, too.

Parking is pretty easy.  However, be warned that lots of Mt. SAC students and students from local high schools may go here directly after school.

Service is pretty fast, and they've never given me a wrong order before (and I go here a lot).

There were a few times when they would have a BOGO sale, with milk tea boba.  Hey, nothing wrong with free boba =)

It's a small place.  Better to go in, order, and get out.

Who cares if they raised the prices on the drinks, there are plenty of drink choices that cost $2 or less! For a boba place, that's rare and a good deal. My sister always orders a milk tea whenever she comes back home from college. I even bring some for my friends when I ever visit them. It's a really small establishment (less than 10 seats?) so it's not meant for lots of lounging like your Ten Rens or Lollicups. I've tried their hot almond milk tea and their taro milk tea, both good. Of course, the good ole' regular milk tea with boba is the one to get.

Tastes are pretty much the same to every other boba/milk tea concoctions I've had. If you're going to be picky, yes the milk tea here tastes a lot better and fresher. So save yourself some cash and get your boba fix here. If you need a place to hang out, you could walk a few steps over to the next plaza and go to Lollicup. That would be a good way to stick it to the man :)

"$1 drink" -that was enough to get me to walk in ^-^

well i go to mt. sac and this is just across the street so i used to walk/SPRINT (haha jk) here whenever i had break and had major cravings for mini boba. they have a wide variety to chose from and although their $1 boba mostly qualifies for the small 10oz milk tea boba, the regular prices are decent. their slushes are around 2.50 but plus boba they end up being 3 bucks. There are about three or four tables inside but usually the place isnt full. The people who go here usually pick up their drinks and leave and dont stick around.

Sometimes it gets a tiny bit busy and there are only 2 workers in sight, but the longest wait i had to wait was 10 minutes.

my current fav here: vanilla slush w boba, the consistency is good and the boba is made just right. their milk tea here is pretty good, not too sweet.

p.s you can get a rewards card but it can only be used on regular priced drinks. (no using it on $1 boba)

I really love this place! Their boba is absolutely delicious, and not to mention the staff. They are always friendly and courteous to you. They don't have the best seating compared to lollicup, but their boba can make you forget all about it!  My favorite is the honey green tea. I always order it, and it tastes great everytime. Their slushies are really good, too. I recommend the iced teas and slushies, especially for the summer! :)

I also LOVE their pudding milk tea becuase the pudding isn't as stiff(like tofu) or too soft that it breaks easily. I would recommend this boba place because it's cheap and really good compared to other boba places.

I love this cute little place!
I think they serve the best Boba Milk Tea.
I always get it with Mini Boba's.
    (Cuz they're sweeter, I think. ;] )

Love it, and they're only like a dollar. hahah

Yah, I have to say is pretty good. Still trying to figure it all out also. It seems that pricing is sorta inconsistent to what's written on the board. Since it's been hot I've been here pretty much everyday because I have needs, LOL.
I like their Konjac milk tea, not too sweet!
