We recently had a jammed Badger 0.5HP In-sink-erator unit and called them out to assist.
The plumber arrived (Cesar) who promptly declared the unit "burned out" after only trying to turn it on at the wall. He then proceeded to quote my wife $440.00 to replace it.
He ignored the fact that it was still making a humming noise, nor did he try loosening the stuck blade or using an Allen wrench to dislodge the blockage.
When my wife asked me if it was OK (I was in the other room working), I told her no. Cesar immediately countered that Any-Tyme did not want to lose our business and asked "How much would you be willing to pay?" and when my wife was confused, he immediately dropped his quote to $300.00 to replace the unit and started waffling about whether the unit could be made to work again or needed replacing. He kept pressing but I told my wife to stand firm.
Thinking it was an isolated case of a dishonest and predatory technician, I called the dispatcher at the company the next morning who quickly pulled up our file and confirmed the plumber's name. I explained the problem to her and she said she understood why the situation would make us doubt their integrity. I asked for another quote, and she indicated that she had no price book and took my number (they had my wife's number) to have their head person call me back.
I was disappointed that they made no effort to call me back and remedy the situation. I've told me wife that we're not to consider using them in the future, and let our neighbors know to beware if they should find themselves dealing with Any-Tyme. -

Twice in a week we have tried to schedule an appointment to have them come out and give an estimate on some electrical work. Twice!
Both times no one showed up.
First time my wife booked the apt. 30 minutes after they were supposed to be there, she called to see where they were at and they said they were running late from their other job (they couldn't call to explain this why?) and be over shortly. "Shortly" came and went and no one called or showed up.
Regardless, I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and called to re-schedule a few days later. I explained what happened last time, they apologized and said they'd get someone out today. Verified the phone number they had and gave them my cell. Guess what. SAME THING! I waited around all afternoon and no call, no show - no communication what so ever! I even took the day off because I thought they'd actually show up.
If a company can't even show up for an estimate (and be courteous enough to call their customers) do you even want to chance them doing work? I can't imagine the service you'd get AFTER a job...
Horrible experience and a waste of a vacation day.

Still BAD, even with their new guys.
Well, unfortunately, we had another serious leak right near where they just did the re-route a couple of months ago. We called them back to check on their previous job, because it seemed that their new pipes could be leaking.
Guess what, they happily came over, but they refused to even go into the attic to check on their work.
They insisted that it was another leak. The water was literally rushing from the wall and flooding my floor! They wanted to charge me for a leak detection (guys, cant you see the water coming from the wall?) They insisted that it was another slab leak in another area and They gave me a quote of $5600 (they like those big numbers) to do another re-route.
Well, this time, I called another plumbing company. We re-routed another area (including some of what anytyme did last time, but NOT where anytyme said to re-route). The leak stopped!
Anytyme would have charged me $5600 for "fixing" the wrong area! I would still be leaking when they were finished!
Scarey. Stay away from them!!!!!

Last summer I called 1-800-ANYTYME. It was scorching hot and one of my AC units wasn't producing cool air. I stupidly called ANYTYME and they told me the unit was broken and a part was needed that was very expensive $500. I'll never forgive myself for caving in and allowing them to do it but I did. It took them literally 5 minutes to install the part. I later checked online and I could have bought it for $25.00!
