Tasty Halal is excellent. The food is really fresh and delicious. They have free parking in a front parking lot so you don't have to look for street parking. The service is good. You can eat inside or do takeout. They pack the food up really well for takeout. The chicken seekh kebab and chicken tikka are delicious. The naan is good, too. The biryani and curries are excellent. There are vegetarian options, too. Don't miss the rice pudding (kheer) or halwa dessert. This place is very popular with South Asians so you know it's excellent. They close for a couple of months in the winter, so please call to make sure they're open. Highly recommend this place!

The curries will never spill. Even know of people taking their food on flights, they do such a great job packing. The chicken biryani is full of chicken legs and thighs. It's so delicious! The butter chicken, potatoes and spinach, eggplant and potatoes, and the chicken curry are so good! The tandoori kebabs are so good! I tried the chicken seekh kebabs and the chicken tikka. It was great. The naan is really good! Their desserts are excellent. The kheer, or rice pudding and halwa are delicious! I highly recommend everything here. Their food is great!

Great price for great food, when you can get it! The only problem with this restaurant is their hours ate so limited, and they're popular enough that they often run out of their high demand items long before the nights over!

Every time I'm in Bridgeport I must stop here and pick up food to take home! It's so fresh! Being in this business, I can see how much hard work they put into their food. Choices vary at times which I appreciate! Nihari, Shami kababs, Haleem, all fantastic! I can't even remember the name of my favorite chicken dish but it's so good. It's definitely a whole in the wall but I find that's usually where the best food can be found in every culture.
I see a couple reviewers stated it's not typical "Indian food". Well, they're right, it's not Indian. It's Pakistani... and there is a difference... but this food is awesome!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Luis G.Palm Desert, CA097Jun 2, 2017
I was not familiar with Arabic food but Mossen gave out a few recommendations as well as explained what everything was.
Been there a few times and this place has not disappointed.
Every time we try something new, we are blown away.
Lots of spices and tasty flavored food!
Very welcoming!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sal A.White Plains, NY5319Sep 19, 2020
This is more of a Pakistani Restaurant than Indian. Sure there is some common dishes you would find in a Indian joint, but except more spice and unique dishes closer to Pakistan and Bangladesh. It was good and cheap compared to other "hole in the wall" places I've been to.
Some items looked like they sat out all day but most were fresh and the lady at the counter was very nice and patient given I asked what every item was!
CASH ONLY by give it a try, nothing fancy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dawood Masood K.Shelton, CT19Jun 13, 2017
I wish yelp had 5 more stars to rate for the best & top quality food @ best rates in whole constitution state. I want to recommend "TASTY" to everyone who is aware of True Lahori Pakistani taste plus i would like to strongly suggest "TASTY" to everyone who prefers and loves to have real mouth watering delicious tasty food.
Though i'm a regular customer and i have been going there everyday since they opened and i have tried everything they got but ....Some specialities to die for includes BBQ Chicken pie, Chapli Kebab, Seekh Kebab, Biryani, Potato Meat Curry, Minced Meat, Chicken Curry, Maash ki Daal, Mic Vegetables and Chickpeas.
I wish very best of luck to "Tasty" crew for being on top of quality, economy and very friendlyHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brett G.Trumbull, CT5811Jun 19, 2018
When you come to Tasty Halal you should know what to expect. First this is not Indian food with rich sauces like korma or masala. This is Pakistani and Bangladeshi food and it is spiced for people from those countries (not for bland American palates). The decor is plain white tile with food on chafing dishes behind glass.
The food is delicious. The chicken biryani is spicy but rich with flavor. The aloo saag (spinach and potato) is my favorite side dish but the cauliflower is exceptional too. Last, the chicken tikka barbecue is as good of a chicken you will eat. The spicy yogurt marinaded chicken barbecued on a skewer will change your word.
Service can be a little slow but the staff are so friendly and welcoming that you don't mind. It's a great find for adventurous eaters.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mohammad K.Cromwell, CT73265Mar 2, 2019
